Warm Moonlight

 

“I don't think so. We should have a clear 2 weeks.”

 

“Do we have to leave already?” asked Yuki.

 

Ginsora thought for a minute.

 

“No. We don't know what they want us for. We're traveling ninja, they're probably just curious about us, or they want to test our skills.”

 

Kara spoke up “What rank will we be this time? I was a genin last time.”

 

“Kai, Kyomi, Kara and me will be Chunin, Umi and Yuki will be genin."

 

Umi and Yuki spoke in unison again “Why are we always genin?”

 

“Because you two are the youngest, I'd put Kara with you but, like she said she was a genin in the last village.”

 

Ginsora talked mentally with Kai, “Yuki and Umi may be 2 years apart but I have a strong belief they've become twins down the road somewhere.”

 

“True.” Kai mentally agreed with her.

 

Everyone fell asleep instantly at 10:30pm.

 

Kai's dream was the same as always. Her mother was smiling and she was a young girl walking next to her. Then her mother's eyes turned white, something sharp went through her neck and it split her in two pieces. Then, Kai was running into her father's arms. She cried then looked up at him. He was staring strait ahead, still as a rock, his mouth opened and blood spilled out. He let go of Kai and fell to the ground. She looked at him, still crying then, there was an evil laugh. Kai turned around…

 

Kara's dream started pleasantly, unlike other nights. Kara was lying on a soft cloud with her eyes closed. An image of her mother came to her. Her mother was in a hospital bed with tubes and machines everywhere. Then, the cloud disappeared and Kara was in the water. An image of her sister flashed by as the air she breathed less and less until she lost all her breath and floated away. Then, Kara felt wind around her. She was running and tiring. She fell…

 

Yuki's dream ran by as a mystery as always. She saw three images, a knife with blood, rocks, and a campsite.

 

Kyomi's dream started with that smore that her mother had told her was too hot. She remembered the fire on her tongue, but the sweet taste of marshmallows and warm chocolate. Then, she was falling; she was hanging on to someone but lost her grip. There was a sword to her head, so she got quiet…

 

Umi dreamed quickly. She was in her mansion, kids came over but they went to all her stuff instead of her. Kai and Ginsora were at the door; Umi skipped over to them and walked out the door. They both followed her, away from her home. Umi didn't look back and kept walking.

 

Ginsora's dream was the same story, but the less she slept the less she dreamed. She was holding a kunai and she threw it hitting a tree. Someone placed their hand on top of her head. Ginsora smiled. Then, she was home, a shadow walked away as she cried. Then, she saw a pair of eyes, red, the Sharingan. There was blood as Ginsora turned and stared at a wall, it was splattered across her face. There was fire and an explosion, and then there was a blanket. Baby blue.

 

Ginsora woke up sweating and gasping. She looked at the clock. It was 3:45am.

 

She had slept in! Ginsora took a deep breath and got up. She'd have to train longer this morning. She got up dressed for training and went out the door.

 

Ginsora was able to sneak past everyone without waking them up. She went out to the closest training grounds. Ginsora had to get this new jutsu right. The jutsu she was learning was called canyon cross. It involved lifting huge pieces of the earth out of the ground, and crossing them at a certain point to make a huge rock slide and to get the friction where they hit each other to catch the falling rocks on fire, but she just couldn't get a flame started. Ginsora worked at this until 5:00am and still couldn't get it.

 

*Maybe I should just work on speed for now.*

 

Ginsora called her earth clone which still looked like a big pile of rocks. She had it throw kunais at her for a minute then, it turned away from her.

 

Ginsora looked towards her right some people were walking towards her a long ways in the distance but all she could see were their outlines in the distance. She was about to leave when she thought.

 

*If they see me training it could start me with a good reputation with the village.*

 

Ginsora called her earth clone's attention back to her and continued dodging whatever weapon it threw at her.

Tenten yawned from the lack of sleep she had gotten last night.

 

“Gai sensei? Remind me again why we train at 5:00am.”

 

“So, we can become stronger than everyone else.”

 

Neji spoke, “Tenten, you're usually not this tired.”

 

“I know but, remember when I told you what happened when I was coming back from my mission?”

 

“Yeah, you said you saw some girl training outside the village.”

 

“That clone of hers was completely made of rocks and he was going to attack me so I had a nightmare about it.”

 

“Wait,” said Gai, “I hear something.”

 

Neji activated his Byakugan. “Someone beat us to the training grounds.”

 

Lee started to get excited “Let us go meet them, perhaps we can train with them.”

 

“There's only one, a girl, I don't recognize her.” Neji said.

 

“Maybe it's the girl I saw yesterday.”

 

Tenten looked around. Gai and Lee were already ahead of her and Neji.

 

Ginsora had just dodged every weapon the clone knew. (Which wasn't much, he was a pile of rocks after all.) She decided to dodge more kunais although the place was littered with them. She had just dodged she guessed about 25 when she felt someone watching her from a nearby tree. Her clone switched his target to the tree and threw a kunai. Right before it hit the tree going 35 mph Ginsora threw a kunai causing them both to fall to the ground.

 

“Wow,” said a voice.
