First Mission, First Try to Defy

 

Ginsora, Kai, Kyomi, Naruto, Lee, Hinata, and Shikamaru met up at the gates.

Kai suddenly ran off.

Naruto: Where's she going?

Ginsora: Oh, Kara stole her book again.

Kai comes back to the others with her book.

Ginsora: What did you do with Kara?

Kai: I knocked her out and tied her to a tree.

Naruto: Can we go already!

They all headed off.

 

About 15 minutes down the road Naruto decided he was hungry.

Kai: We've only been walking for 15 minutes.

Naruto: But I'm hungry!

Naruto sat down and ate, Kai sat down to continue reading her book, and Shikamaru went to sleep, Lee and Ginsora trained, Kyomi spent her time looking at flowers, and Hinata sat down to eat by herself. Well, Hinata was eating by herself until Naruto ran out of food and spent his time talking to her. After 30 minutes everyone got back to walking to the Hidden Waterfall Village.

Kai: *Why are we going to the Hidden Waterfall Village again?*

Ginsora: *To help them.*

Kai:*Whatever*

 

Night soon came, a fire was lit and tents were set up. Kai climbed a tree and quickly fell asleep to the crackling of the fire. Naruto quickly fell asleep near the campfire so Ginsora dragged him into his tent and then went back to sitting near the fire. She stared into the red, orange, and yellow flames for what seemed like forever to her. She couldn't focus on anything so she tried to see something with her Tyokogohn about her future but all she got was glimpses of her past.

GLIMPSE #1

Ginsora felt like a bird in her father's arms as he made it seem she was flying in the air. He set her down in a soft pile of grass and stroked her silver hair that barely passed her shoulders.

???: Was that fun my little angel?

END OF GLIPSE #1

Ginsora tried again.

GLIMPSE #2

A small silver crown was placed on her head as many voices were talking around her. They were talking about her `protector' that would always ensure that she lived her life to become a great Shinobi for the Hidden Rock Village. She was hugged a lot that night and given everything she wanted. She was lifted on to someone's shoulders and she stared across the crowd to her mother. Her mother's face held relief, but at the same time sadness, disappointment, and regret.

END OF GLIMPSE #2

Ginsora laid back and stared at the night sky. She didn't know how long she spent looking at the sky but when she sat up she was the only one still awake. She sighed and fell asleep under a random tree.

(Next Day)

Now only half an hour away from arriving in the Hidden Waterfall Village most everyone was eager to get there. Everyone came to a clearing when out of nowhere a Katana flew through the air. Everyone ducked, well almost everyone. Kai in a flash pulled Ginsora down nearly getting sliced by the blade.

Kai:*What was that?*

Ginsora:*Sorry, vision.*

Kai: *They give me a headache.*

Everyone stood up only to be suddenly surrounded by about 30 ninja.

Kai: I got these guys. Don't blink.

Of course everyone blinked and then all the enemy ninja were decapitated.

Kai: Now that's what happens when you make me mad.

 

It was nightfall when they all reached the Hidden Waterfall Village.

Ginsora: I'll go find us a place to stay.

Ginsora walked off followed by Kyomi.

Naruto: I wonder if there's a ramen stand here. Come on Hinata!

He grabs Hinata's hand making her blush like crazy.

Shikamaru walks in one direction and disappears into the shadows. Kai sighs and sits under a tree near the Village Entrance to continue reading her book that had been through a lot the past few days. Kai is absorbed in her story until she hears someone walk up to her.

Kai: Lee remember what I said about making me mad?

Kai lowered the book that was covering her face and glared at Lee.

Lee: I am sorry; I just wanted to talk to you about….

Kai: About Ginsora?

Lee: How did you know?

Kai: I see things, anyways look just ask her she probably won't say no.

Lee: But what-

Kai slung out her sword and set it on fire.

Kai: Leave before I get angry!

Lee runs off not wanting to make Kai any madder than she was.

Kai:*Ginsora I'm warning you now, he's coming.*

Ginsora:*Now?*

Kai sheathed her sword and walked toward the center of the village. She felt her mind connection with Ginsora snap. Kai eventually came to the hotel where everyone would be staying. She found Ginsora waiting for her, but Ginsora had a blush across her cheeks. It was no wonder why the mind connection never came back up. Kai decided to leave Ginsora alone to let her get her head strait. She asked about her room and was lead to it. She fell asleep immediately.

 

(To the others in Kohona)

Yuki threw her blankets aside and went to her window.

Yuki thoughts: Why can't I remember?

Yuki quietly snuck out of her room and into Umi's. Umi was up going through her clothes.

Yuki: Umi?

Umi: Oh, Yuki, what is it?

Yuki: I had that dream again.

Umi: Oh.

Yuki: Umi I want to know. Why won't Ginsora, Kai, or you tell me?

Umi: You don't want to remember Yuki. I quote Ginsora, “You'll wish that you had never seen your own face.”

Yuki: I can't understand it if I don't know it.

Umi: I'm sure Ginsora will tell you in time.

 

(To Kara)

Kara threw her pillow to the floor and sprang up from her bed. She read the clock beside the bed that said 2: 12am.

Kara thoughts: Well it's tomorrow.

Kara went to her closet and pulled out something wrapped in light purple velvet. It was a picture of her family; it had been painted by an artist. Kara wasn't in the picture because she hadn't been born yet. She stared at her mother on the right side of the photo and compared it with the image she had last seen of her mother. Here was a woman next to her husband smiling with a smile on her face. Then, there was the image of the woman with pale skin in a white hospital bed, her eyes closed and dozens of tubes in her arms. Machines surrounded her, and she hadn't moved since Kara's birth. Kara felt a tear slide down her face and saw it land on the floor.

Kara:*It's all my fault.*

(Back to the Hidden Waterfall Village.)

Kai woke relieved but kind of irritated. Her and Ginsora's mind connection had come back during the night after Ginsora had gotten control of her emotions. Kai hated that she had no secrets but, that way she felt a sense of security. She went downstairs to find Kyomi sitting in a chair arranging flowers in a vase.

Kai:*Ginsora where are you?*

Ginsora:*Kiokage's office I know you like to sleep in. Kyomi will show you the way.*

Kai: *Fine.*

Kyomi lead the way slowly to the Kiokage's office.

(To the `helping')

Kai: I can't believe this. Painting the fence, this is what they need a ninja for?

Ginsora: Hey, we're helping aren't we?

Kai: I hate helping people. I hate people.

Ginsora: I've learned.

Kai: You think Shikamaru could help us?

Ginsora: No, he's still sleeping.

Kai sighed and looked back at her paintbrush covered with blue paint slowly covering her hand. When Ginsora stopped moving Kai activated her Sharingahn and saw Ginsora's vision.

Kai:*Ginsora what happened last night, When Lee came to you?*

Ginsora: *Well I can't hide the memory from you.*

Ginsora activated her Tyokogohn.

Ginsora tapped her foot against the floor waiting for the secretary to return to the front desk. She heard the door open but, didn't bother looking towards it. Kyomi who had been on the couch got up and went down the hall. Ginsora watched Kyomi leave as she heard someone walk up behind her.

Kai:*All right that's enough.*

Ginsora deactivated her Tyokogohn and Kai deactivated her Sharingahn.

Kai: How could you say that I thought the vision said you'd say-

Ginsora: Kai, I couldn't say-
