It Falls Together

 

The shouts made Umi and Sakura run towards the lobby.

 

Umi: YUKI!!!

Yuki: UMI!!!

Umi: Where did you go?

Yuki: I had to find out a little something…

Kakashi said something about getting some fresh air and stepped outside.

Kara: Yuki…

Yuki turned to see Kara with one hand on the wall to support herself.

Yuki: Oh no, Kara what happened?

Kara: I went back to get Kiba and we stopped when we saw Ginsora fighting Orochimaru. He captured her.

Yuki: What are we standing here for?! We have to go after her!!!

Umi: We can't.

Yuki: Why not?

Umi: Kara's in no condition to travel, Kyomi left awhile ago with Shino and Kai's unconscious…

Kai: Who's unconscious?

Umi: Kai you're awake!

Kai: Hug me and I'll set you on fire!

Yuki and Umi shrank back.

Kai: Where's Kyomi, we're leaving.

Umi: But Kara…

Kai: You can manipulate the air, have it carry her.

Yuki: What about Ginsora?

Kai: Well it's obvious she's not here, so we're leaving.

Yuki: Hey Kara's 2nd in command.

Kai: I don't care! We've been here too long; I should've wiped everyone's memories long ago and dragged you all out of here! We're leaving!

Umi: But…

Kai: No buts we're leaving now!

Kai stormed towards the door.

Lee: Please let me come with you.

Kai: You!?

Kai turned towards Lee.

Kai: As far as I'm concerned…THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS YOUR FAULT!!!

Lee: What?

Kai: I'm not sure who to blame you or Ginsora but I do know if you two had never saw each other we wouldn't be here now, with Ginsora lost probably dieing somewhere! So no thank you, you've done enough!!!

Kai stormed outside

Cold, stone, Silence.

 

Kyomi smiled as a big, bright yellow, butterfly flew over her head and dropped a few daisy flower petals into her hair. She looked down as her feet dangled below her as she sat freely on the branch of a tree. Kyomi looked beside her and saw Shino staring out into the sky.

Kyomi: This place is…nice. Thank you, Shino.

Shino grabbed Kyomi's hand and her face turned a very pale pink.

 

Kakashi: You went off again.

Kai: So?

Kai continued to storm off away from the hospital but after a few steps she turned back around.

Kakashi: Come here.

Kai obediently walked towards her uncle. Kakashi reached out and placed his hand on Kai's head. Kai's eyes closed and her face fell into a sad frown.

Kakashi: You've had quite a journey, many journeys.

Kai was able to mutter out a `Duh'.

Kakashi: Do me a favor.

Kai opened her eyes and found them clouding over with tears. She blinked them back.

Kakashi: Remember that day your father came to pick you up before the incident.

Kai thoughts: He knows I hate that word murder.

(Me: Wow for someone who hates the word murder she sure uses it a lot and words like it.)

Kai: I remember.

Kakashi: Remember the entire day for me.

A young Kai opened her light blue eyes to a sunny day.

Kakashi: Kai, are you awake?

Kakashi opened the door of a simple bedroom.

Kai: Morning uncle Kakashi.

Kakashi: Come on, breakfast time.

Kai: Do I get 10 waffles?

Kakashi: Hm, well ok I guess-

Kai: Yay!

(1 hour later)

Kai sat on a branch biting into a juicy red apple.

Kai: This is the best apple I've ever eaten.

Kakashi: How'd you get in that tree?

Kai: I climbed when you put me on the lowest branch.

Kakashi: Oh, that's right, I did. Well come on, I have to go to the Hokage's office.

Kai: Yay!

Kai jumped off the branch landing in Kakashi's arms.

Kakashi: Wow, you're energetic.

Kai: I had 10 waffles, remember?

Kakashi: Something told me I would regret that.

Kai looked like she was about to cry.

Kakashi: Ok, no crying. That's against the rules.

Kai: Oh yeah, sorry uncle Kakashi.

Kai smiled and continued to eat her apple.

Kakashi swung Kai up on his shoulders as he made his way to the Hokage's office.

(In the Hokage's office)

Kai: Father!

Kakashi: That was the last time I saw you before we met up in the forest after that attack on my squad.

Kai couldn't help it the tears spilled over her eyes and ran down her face as she remembered and seemed to relive her father's death.

Kai managed to whisper out.

Kai: I don't want to lose anyone else…

Kyomi gasped as she spotted something in the distance.

Shino: What is it?

Kyomi smiled and turned to Shino.

Shino: Let's go.

 

Ginsora thoughts: Finally, Kohona.

Ginsora easily ran up and over Kohona's gates.

Ginsora thoughts: Hey that's…

Ginsora: Kyomi!

Kyomi smiled and hugged Ginsora.

Kyomi: Thank goodness…

Ginsora: Kyomi, you're talking.

Kyomi nodded and stepped back to grab Shino's hand.

Ginsora found she could activate her Tyokogohn again and a vision came to her.

Ginsora: You're good for each other…

 

Umi gasped and flew out the door.

Yuki: Umi! Come back! Where are you going?!

Yuki ran after Umi leaving everyone in the lobby in a giant cloud of dust. Kara just stood near the wall in disbelief. They left her behind. She shook the thought out of her head and staggered to a chair next to Lee.

Lee: Perhaps she is right, it is my fault.

Kara sighed as if tired from a life long job.

Kara: Lee, Kai is just angry the past few weeks have only been bearable to us because we're used to such……events. In fact it was Kai who said to come to Kohona, Ginsora, because of her visions, wanted to go to Suna instead. When you nail it all down, its Kai's fault.

Kara giggled imagining what Kai would be like if she ever said that to her face.

The door flew open and Umi came flying in.

Umi: Ginsora's back!

Everyone jolted up and ran after Umi, except Neji because he seemed uninterested and Kara who couldn't stand up. Kara lifted herself up with one hand on the arm of the chair.

Neji: Need help?

Kara: Yeah, I just want to get back to Kiba.

Neji walked over to Kara and helped her up wrapping one of his arms around her waist and Kara wrapping one arm around his neck. Kara with the support made it easily to the hospital room she had just been sleeping in.

Kara: Thanks Neji.

(Me: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Time for some drama!!! Who's with me!!!???)

Kara looked to Neji and found him staring back into her eyes. His eyes grew wide a bit as if he just noticed something.

Staring. Staring. Staring.

Closer. Closer. Closer.

Sweet invisible disaudioable sounds float behind the world...

Space disappears between their lips.

Closer. Closer. Closer.

Closer and their lips met.

(Me: Say it with me! D-R-A-M-A! DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Oh wait, guess what? There's more. WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!)

Kara's eyes fluttered close as she seemed to disappear off the earth completely. Everything's white except her and Neji.

Kara thoughts: Wait! I'm kissing Neji!

Kara breaks the kiss only to find the door open in front of her…..

(Me: DDDDDDRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMAAAAAA!!! Don't we love it?)

 

Yuki: You're back!

Ginsora: Yuki-choking-not breathing…

Yuki: Sorry.

Yuki released her hug and air swept back into Ginsora's lungs.

Ginsora thoughts: Whew…

Umi flew landing next to Yuki as Gai, Tenten and Lee appeared behind them. Tenten looked towards Lee curious about his reaction.

Long, unblinking stares.

Ginsora stared at Lee as if everyone else had just disappeared on the earth. She looked to the ground helpless as the cursed blush covered her face.

Tenten: Gai-sensei why don't we leave them alone?

Gai almost shouted `youthful!' when Umi, Yuki, and Tenten pulled him away. Shino pulled on Kyomi's hand leading her towards the field they were recently in.

 

Kabuto: So, what's the plan lord Orochimaru?

Orochimaru lifted his head to stare into the leaves of the tall trees above him.

Orochimaru: I saw what I needed, we're going to Suna.
