-We see a shot of a full moon. A brown tail suddenly waves across it.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over {with Grandpa Moto's [Yu-Gi-Oh] voice}- Long ago, a ghost fox appeared. That fox had nine tails.

-As he is speaking, we pull back to see a large brown fox with nine tails (GHOST FOX) waving about, snarling.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- With one swing, that tail could cause mountains to crumble and tidal waves to form.

-The Ghost Fox leaps and slaps its tails against the ground, causing dust to billow up and trees to uproot.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- To stop it, the Ninjas fought.

-The camera changes to that we see a shot of a group of men (NINJA) all attacking the Ghost Fox (off screen).-

Ninja 1: Delay it until the Fourth President of Fire comes!

Ninja 2: We can't anymore!

-Suddenly, we see a large, red-brown foot step down, cracking the rocks beneath it and a second foot sets down crushing a tree just after. The camera pulls back and we see a large frog with a scar over one eye (FROG BOSS). The camera changes angles and we see, from the top of Frog Boss's head, a pair of legs and the Ghost Fox.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- Then one Ninja sacrificed his life to seal the ghost.

-The camera changes angles again and we see from behind the Ghost Fox. We the zoom back in on Frog Boss's face. Frog Boss licks its lips with its tongue as the camera moves up to reveal a man (FOURTH PRESIDENT OF FIRE) standing on top of its head.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- His name was the Fourth President of Fire.

-The Fourth President of Fire makes a seal and a bright light expands from behind him. The camera cuts away to behind the Ghost Fox as the light envelopes the screen.

-As the screen goes black, we hear the sound of a baby crying. A spiral sun shape appears and places itself in the center of the screen. As the background images come out, we see that the spiral sun is around the navel of a crying baby with yellow hair and six whisker marks in his cheeks (BABY NARUTO [pronounced: Nay-ru-toe]) laying on a small table with candles around him.

-The opening theme, random techno gibberish, begins to play as the title appears on screen.-

-It is twelve years later. Suddenly, the camera cuts away to show a twelve-year-old boy, blonde and with blue eyes and six whisker markings on his cheeks, (NARUTO UZUMAKI [uh-zuh-may-kih]) with a can of yellow paint in one hand, laughing and running from two Ninja as the theme plays in the background.-

Ninja 3: Hey, Naruto!

Ninja 4: How could you do such a thing!?

Ninja 3: You'll pay for this today!

-As the camera pans up, Naruto and the two Ninja are seen leaping off buildings, going higher and higher with each bound. Finally, the camera stops and we see and image of a monument carved in the side of a mountain of four heads, each one defiled with different paints. Suddenly, Naruto leaps in front of the camera. As he speaks, the camera pans in on each of the heads, showing the graffiti in detail.-

Naruto: -laughing {with Yoh Asakura's [Shaman King] voice} - Shut up! None of you guys could do something this horrible. But I can! I am incredible!

Ninja 5: -off screen- Terrible news, President!

Villager: -off screen- President of Fire!

Third President of Fire: -turns to face the two - What is it? Is Naruto causing trouble again?

-The camera pans back to show the villager and Ninja standing behind him.-

Villager 1: -off screen- Yes!! On the President of Fire monument…

Ninja 5: -off screen- He's covered it with graffiti!

-The Third President of Fire sighs. The camera cuts back to the village to show that Naruto is still bouncing off the buildings, the two Ninja following. The camera pans back down to show a street and a wooden fence. Naruto bounces off the sidewalk and into the air, vanishing off screen and the two Ninja follow.-

Ninja 3: Wait!!

-A rectangular outline appears on the fence, and Naruto lowers the cloth to reveal himself standing in front of the fence, grinning. Placing a hand behind his head, he laughs.-

Naruto: Idiots.

-The camera moves slight to one side and we see the body of another Ninja with brown hair and black eyes (IVAN GARRISON). He bends over and yells in Naruto's ear.-

Ivan: {With Brock's [Pokémon] voice} Hey Naruto!

-Naruto jumps several feet into the air, failing and turns around before landing on his rear.-

Naruto: What was that for, Mr. Ivan?

Ivan: -points at Naruto; calmly- What are you doing before class?

-As the theme fades away, the camera cuts to the entrance of an academy with a tree opposite its entrance with a single wooden swing hanging from its lowest branch. The camera suddenly cuts to inside the academy where Naruto on the floor in front of Ivan.-

Ivan: Listen Naruto. You have failed the last two graduation exams! This is no time for pranks!

-Naruto huffs and looks away. Ivan, with a forced grin, frowns and turns suddenly to the rest of the students, pointing.-

Ivan: For today's class, we're having a review test on Changing Attack. Everyone line up, even those who have passed!!

All students: What!?

-The students line up and one steps forward. She has pink hair pulled back with a red ribbon and aqua eyes (SAKURA [Sa-kU-ra] HEUGHAN).-

Sakura: {with Tea Gardener's [Yu-Gi-Oh] voice} Sakura Heughan, here I go. Transform!

-With a cloud of smoke, Sakura transforms into a perfect copy of Ivan.-

Ivan: Good.

-With another smoke cloud, Sakura appears normal.-

Sakura: Yay! Did you see that, Samuel?

Ivan: Next, Samuel McKay.

-A boy with black hair and eyes (SAMUEL MCKAY) steps forward as Sakura returns to her seat.-

Samuel: {with Marik's [Yu-Gi-Oh] voice} Yes.

-With a cloud of smoke, Samuel turns into Ivan.-

Ivan: Good.

-Samuel returns to normal with a second cloud of smoke and walks back to his seat.-

Ivan: Next, Naruto Uzumaki.

-Standing on either side of Naruto are two other students, one blonde with blue eyes (REBECCA HAYES) and a boy with black hair and eyes (HARRISON FRYAR).-

Harrison: {with Noa Kaiba's [Yu-Gi-Oh] voice} I don't like this.

Rebecca: {with Misty' [Pokémon] voice} This is all your fault.

Naruto: Like I care.

-Naruto grudgingly steps forward and in the line, a girl with short black hair and silver eyes (HEATHER CARDINELL) watches him.-

Naruto: Here I go…

Heather: -thinking {with Amy Rose's [Sonic X] voice}- Good luck, Naruto.

Naruto: Transform!

-In a cloud of smoke, Naruto turns into Ivan. Naruto returns to his usual self, laughing.-

Naruto: -pointing at Ivan- What'd you think?

Ivan: That was good. But you still have to clean the monument!

-The camera cuts away from the class to the President of Fire monument. We then cut to see Naruto with a rag cleaning the First President of Fire's face, Ivan sitting on top of the head, watching Naruto.-

Ivan: I won't let you go home until sunset.

Naruto: -looks up- Sunset?

Ivan: -looking away- Well… Umm… If you clean this all up… I'll buy you to some soup tonight.

-Ivan looks at Naruto who is grinning broadly. The camera cuts back to show the monument again.-

Naruto: Okay!!! I'll work hard!!!

-The screen goes black and the episode title appears with Naruto reading it out loud.-

Enter Naruto!

-That night, Ivan and Naruto are sitting in a soup bar with the word 24 Hr. Soup written on a banner. The camera cuts into the inside where Naruto is eating his soup.-

Ivan: Naruto.

Naruto: Huh?

Ivan: Why were you doing that to the monument? Don't you know who the Presidents of Fire are?

Naruto: Of course! -finishes off soup- Basically, whoever receives the President of Fire name are the number one ninjas in the village, right? -glances up and an image of the Fourth President of Fire's sculpture appears behind him- And among them is the Fourth. A hero who saved the village from a ghost fox.

Ivan: Then why?

Naruto: One day I'm going to receive the President of Fire name. And then I'm going to surpass all previous Presidents of Fire! -points at Ivan with chopsticks as the camera focuses on Ivan- And then, and then I'll make the village acknowledge my strength! By the way, Sensei, I have a request…

Ivan: What? You want seconds?

Naruto: No… Can I borrow your Leaf bandanna?

Ivan: -glances up at Leaf bandanna- Oh, this? -touches it and smiles at Naruto- No, no, this is for after you graduate. This is a symbol you've come of age. You can get one tomorrow.

-The camera cuts away to show the roof of 24 Hr. Soup. The camera darkens and when the scene comes back, it is the next day, showing the front of the Academy and the swing.-

Ivan: -voice over- Now we will begin the graduation exam. -camera cuts into classroom- Those that are called will go into the next classroom. The test will be the Cloning Attack.

-The camera cuts to show a desk with rows of bandannas set on it. We then see Naruto, the only student in the room, with a look of determination. Naruto makes a seal and blue chakra flows around him.-

Naruto: Cloning Attack!

-There is a large puff of smoke. When the smoke clears, the camera moves from Naruto to show a single pale, half-dead clone. Naruto and Ivan are both shown, twitching at the sight.-

Ivan: You fail.

-The camera cuts to show Ivan's face.-

Matt: {with Tracy Sketchit's [Pokémon] voice} Mr. Ivan.

-The camera pulls away to show a man with shoulder length silver hair and gray eyes (MATT).-

Matt: He has excellent athletic ability and stamina plus he did technically do the Clone Attack… We could let him pass…

Naruto: -perks up-

Ivan: Mr. Matt … Everyone else divided into at least three. But Naruto only created one clone, and it was a useless one. I can't let him pass.

-The camera fades away. When the scene returns, it is focused on a group of children, all with bandannas, talking and laughing with each other in front of the Academy, their parents with them. The camera pans away to show Naruto separate from the group and sitting on a single wooden swing. As the group talks, the camera shows Naruto, depressed.-

Boy 1: -off screen- I did it, I'm a ninja now!

Father 1:Great job! That's my son!

Mother 1: I'm so proud of you. I'm going to make your favorite dinner.

-A footstep sounds. Naruto looks up with a gasp to see Matt standing next to him. The camera cuts away to show Ivan and the Third President of Fire standing next to each other at the wall of the Academy.-

Third President of Fire: Ivan, I need to talk to you later.

-The camera cuts to show the empty swing, swaying slightly.-

Ivan: Of course.

-The camera cuts to show the village at sunset before panning away to show Naruto and Matt sitting on a ledge of some house.-

Matt: Mr. Ivan isn't picking on you.

Naruto: -sadly- Then why only with me?

Matt: He's probably thinking that he wants you to become genuinely strong.

Naruto: But… I really wanted to graduate.

Matt: -chuckles- Well, I guess there's no choice then…

Naruto: -looks at Matt- Huh?

Matt: I'll tell you a special secret.

Naruto: -thinking- Secret?

-The camera cuts away to show the full moon through someone's window. Panning away, we see Ivan laying on his back, hands behind his head, looking at the moon. There is a sudden pounding noise.-

Matt: -voice over- Mr. Ivan, please wake up!

-The camera cuts to show Matt, looking very distressed, standing outside Ivan's. The door opens and Ivan steps out.-

Ivan: What is it?

Matt: We must go to the President of Fire's place! It seems, Naruto has… Taken the Sacred Scroll.

Ivan: -distressed- The Sacred Scroll!?

-The camera cuts away to show a forest, panning around until we finally come across Naruto who has a large scroll before him.-

Naruto: Let's see… The first skill is… Superior Cloning? -smacks forehead- Why does it start with the one I failed at?

-The camera cuts away to show a group of very distressed Ninja standing in front of the President of Fire.-

Ninja 6: President of Fire! He won't get away with this one!

Ninja 7: The Sacred Scroll is dangerous and was forbidden by the previous President of Fire. If used in certain ways…

-The camera cuts overhead to show Matt and Ivan running up to the group.-

Ninja 8: We can't have it taken outside the village.

Third President of Fire: Bring back Naruto.

Ninja: Yes! -disappear-

-The camera pans over the rooftops of the village to show a dark shape bouncing off them. The camera closes in to show that it is Ivan, breathing heavily and looking worried.-

Ivan: -thinking- Where did you go, Naruto?

-The camera cuts away to show a second figure bouncing along the village streets. We close in to see that it is Matt, with an evil smile and two large throwing stars attached to his back.-

Matt: -thinking- I'll get rid of Naruto. Then the Sacred Scroll will be mine!

-The camera fades away and we cut to the forest again. Naruto is hunched over, breathing heavily and dirtied, scroll attached to his back. Ivan's shadow falls over him and he looks up to see Ivan standing over him, hands on hips and a forced smile.-

Ivan: -tensely- Hey, Naruto…

Naruto: -grin; places hand behind head; chuckles-

Ivan: -pulls back, confused-

Naruto: -stands- You found me… I've only learned one attack so far.

Ivan: -thinking- Training his attacks here… So much that he looks like this?

Naruto: Hey hey!! I'm going to show you an incredible attack. If I do it, you'll let me graduate, right? If I show you a attack from this scroll, I'm guaranteed to graduate, right?

Ivan: Who told you that?

Naruto: Mr. Matt! About the scroll, about this place. Mr. Matt told… -trails off at Ivan's horrified look-

-The camera cuts to show Ivan before panning away to show an image of Matt.-

Ivan: Matt did? -suddenly looks behind him-

-The camera shows flashes of sharp, black objects (KNIVES) flying at the two. Ivan shoves Naruto out of the way before getting impaled with the objects, forcing him back about a foot.-

Matt: -off screen- Impressive that you found him…

Ivan: I see… So that's what's going on…

-The camera cuts away from Ivan to show Matt perched on a tree branch.-

Matt: Naruto, give me the scroll.

Naruto: -scared and confused; looks from Ivan and Matt- Hey, hey! What's going on here?

Ivan: -pulls knife from thigh- Naruto!! Don't give him the scroll even if you die!! That is a dangerous scroll with forbidden Ninja Attacks sealed within it. Matt used you in order to get his hands on it!

Matt: Naruto, Ivan is afraid of you having that.

Naruto: -looks at Ivan-

Ivan: What are you talking about, Matt? -looks at Naruto- Don't be fooled by him, Naruto.

Matt: -laughs- I'll tell you the truth.

Ivan: -yelling- No! Don't!

Matt: Twelve years ago, a rule was created in this village.

Naruto: … A rule?

Matt: This is a rule nobody was allowed to tell you about.

Naruto: Not tell me? What kind of rule is it?

Ivan: Don't, Matt!

Matt: The rule is that nobody is allowed to talk about the fact that you are the Ghost fox.

Ivan: Stop it!!

-The camera show Naruto with a red and violet vortex behind him, images of the village ignoring Naruto flashing.-

Matt: -voice over- You have been lied to by everyone. Didn't you find it odd how everyone never acknowledged you?

Naruto: No!

-The camera cuts away from the vortex to show Naruto, exceedingly angry, with blue chakra swirling around him.-

Naruto: No! No! No! No!!!!

Ivan: Naruto…

Matt: Nobody will ever acknowledge you! Even Ivan doesn't acknowledge you you!

-The camera cuts to show Ivan grunt in pain.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- Ivan, Naruto has never known a parent's love.

-The camera fades to a flashback of previous events where Ivan is talking to the President of Fire.-

Third President of Fire: And he is hated by all the villagers because of that incident. So to get attention all he could do is make a lot of mischief.

-The camera cuts away to pan over an image of the defaced monument.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- He's seeking acknowledgement of his existence in any possible way.

-The camera shows a little Naruto all by himself along with two parents and their children.-

Third President of Fire: -voice over- He may act tough, but the one suffering is Naruto.

-The camera cuts back to the woods where Matt is pointing at Naruto.-

Matt: I detest you, Naruto!

Naruto: -falls back and tries to scramble away-

Ivan: Naruto wait there!

Naruto: -drops-

-The camera suddenly goes black. When the image comes back, we see Ivan crouched over Naruto. Ivan coughs and Naruto is looking up at him with a scared look.-

Naruto: Why…?

Ivan: Because we're the same…

-The camera cuts away to show young Ivan standing separate from a group of happy children and parents.-

Ivan: -voice over- After the fox attacked, there was no one to complement me acknowledge me.

-The camera cuts to show Ivan standing on a thin rope over a stream, swaying, while other children look on, cheering and laughing.-

Ivan: -voice over- I would always act like an idiot to get people's attention.

-Young Ivan looses his balance and falls into water. When he surfaces, he laughs at himself as the other children laugh as well.-

Ivan: -voice over- Since I wasn't able to do it by being special, I kept acting like a fool.

-The camera cuts away to show young Ivan sitting in a large, empty room, knees drawn to his chest and looking sadly at the floor.-

Ivan: -voice over- It was so lonely…

-Camera cuts back to present time, still focused on Naruto's face. As Ivan speaks, the camera cuts to show him crying, tears falling from his face and onto Naruto's cheeks.-

Ivan: Yeah… Naruto, you must've been in a lot of pain too. So lonely…

-The camera shows Naruto beginning to get up, still watching Ivan.-

Ivan: I'm sorry, Naruto. If I had done a better job, you wouldn't have had to feel like this.

Matt: -laughs- Don't make me laugh! Ivan has always hated you! He says all that, but he just wants the scroll back.

Naruto: -bolts-

Ivan: Naruto! Naruto!!

Matt: -jumps down from tree- Naruto isn't the type to have a change of heart.

-Camera cuts to show Naruto running as fast as he can.-

Matt: -voice over- He plans to use the scroll to get revenge on the village. -camera cuts back to him- You saw those eyes earlier… Those were the eyes of the Ghost fox.

Ivan: -stands slowly- No, Naruto isn't like that!! -points at Matt-

Matt: Just so long as I finish off Naruto and get the scroll. I'll take care of you later! -leaps away-

Ivan: -thinking- I won't let you!

-The camera cuts to inside the President of Fire's office where the Third is peering into a crystal ball.-

Third President of Fire: So… Matt has told him.

-The camera focuses on the crystal ball which shows Naruto bouncing through the trees.-

Third President of Fire: Now Naruto is afraid like never before. The power that is sealed may be released. Plus he is holding the Sacred Scroll… the odds of him being able to break the seal and the Ghost Fox appearing again is one in a million, but it is possible… If that happens…

-The camera cuts away to show Ivan leaping through the trees, catching up with Naruto.-

Ivan: -thinking- Found him! -out loud- Naruto! What Matt said was false! Hurry! Pass me the scroll! Matt is after it!

-Naruto head buts Ivan sending them both to the ground where Naruto, panting heavily, takes the scroll from his back and collapses next to a tree, leaning against it.-

Ivan: It can't be… How… Naruto? -glares over shoulder- How did… -turns into Matt with a poof of smoke- How did you know I wasn't Ivan?

Naruto: -grins; turns into Ivan with a poof of smoke- I'm Ivan.

Matt: -stands- I see…

-The camera pans away to show Naruto hidden behind a tree, scroll clutched in his hands, several yards away.-

Matt: You'd even transform that to protect him?

Ivan: I won't hand the scroll over to you!!

Matt: Naruto and I are the same.

Ivan: The same?

Matt: If you use the skills in that scroll, you can do whatever you want. There's no way that Ghost fox wouldn't try to use that power.

Ivan: Yeah…

Naruto: -looks up, alarmed; rests head on scroll; thinking- I knew it… I see… Even Mr. Ivan, deep down hates me!

Ivan: If he was the Ghost fox. But Naruto is different, he is. I've acknowledged him as one of my excellent students. He's hard working and dedicated. But because he's clumsy, no one acknowledges him. He already knows what it's like to feel pain in your heart. He isn't the Ghost fox anymore… He the Hidden Leaf Village's Uzumaki Naruto!

Naruto: -cry-

Matt: Ok, you're hopeless… -takes throwing star from back- Ivan, I said I'd take care of you later, but I've changed my mind. -spins throwing star; steps forward to throw throwing star-

Ivan: -thinking- So this is it…

-Matt is about to throw the throwing star when Naruto slams into his chest, knocking Matt back and the throwing star from Matt's hand and sending it flying into the trees.-

Ivan: -thinking- Naruto!

Matt: -getting to his feet- You shouldn't have done that…

Naruto: -calmly- Don't touch Mr. Ivan. I'll hurt you!

Matt: Shut up! I'll destroy a punk like you in one shot!

Naruto: Try it! I'll return the pain a thousand times over!

Matt: Then do it, Ghost fox!

Naruto: Superior Cloning Attack!

-Ivan's eyes widen as he sees Naruto conjure up a thousand clones, all surrounding Matt.-

Ivan: -thinking- This is Superior Cloning Attack. A high-level ninja attack that creates not illusions but actual bodies.

Matt: -stumbles backwards- Wha!?

Naruto Clones: What's wrong? Come at me!

Matt: -falls down, whimpering-

Naruto Clones: Well then… I'll start things off.

-As Matt yells, the camera pans up to the sky. Finally, Matt is left on the ground, beaten, a single Naruto standing over him, grinning and rubbing the back of his head.-

Naruto: I went a little to far… Mr. Ivan, are you all right?

Ivan: Yeah… -thinking- Impressive. He may surpass all previous Presidents of Fire… -out loud- Naruto, come over here… There's something I want to give you.

-The camera cuts back to the village where the group of Ninja are frantically conversing.-

Ninja 9: Did anyone find Naruto?

Ninja 10: No…

Ninja 11: This is very bad!

-The President of Fire walks up behind them.-

Third President of Fire: There's nothing to worry about anymore.

Ninja: -turn around, startled- President of Fire!

Third President of Fire: He'll be back soon.

-The camera cuts away to darkness.-

Naruto: -voice over- Mr. Ivan, now?

Ivan: Ok, you can open your eyes.

-Slowly, like someone opening their eyes, the image of Ivan, smiling and holding Naruto's goggles in one hand, his bandanna gone, comes into focus. Sunlight washes over the two.-

Ivan: Congratulations… on graduating.

-The camera cuts to show Naruto, looking extremely surprised and wearing Ivan's bandanna around his forehead.-

Ivan: All right! Let's celebrate! I'll buy you a bowl of soup.

Naruto: -tackle-hug's Ivan- Mr. Ivan!

Ivan: -is knocked against a tree- Ow! Hey, that hurts!

-The camera pans away slowly.-

Ivan: -voice over- I planned to lecture Naruto that the hard part of being a Ninja had just begun. But I guess I'll save that for the soup place.

-The ending theme, random techno gibberish, begins to play.-

Angel groans and collapses back into her chair. "God, this took forever to get done… Then again I was lazy…"

Naruto glanced about before reaching over and poking Angel on top of the head. "Ano-sa, ano-sa! Why are the author's notes in story-format?"

"Because I hate script-format!" Angel shrieked, flailing her arms wildly and nearly falling out of her chair.

"That still doesn't make sense," Nine says, slinking by, tails flicking, "but then again, this is you."

"Bah," Angel grumbles. Suddenly, she leaps up and pounces on the unsuspecting Yondaime and Itachi (who happen to be playing Go Fish with a deck of oversized cards) before pouting. "I wrote something, Ash-chan. Give me back my muse, dang it! Or, at the very least, can you come get his book? He dropped it as you were dragging him away and everyone else has been having a heck of a time trying to keep Naruto and me from reading it." Angel sighs and sits back, still glomping her two hostages. Suddenly, she jumps up again, nearly removing two heads, and points as best she can at Naruto. "You there! Do the disclaimer!"

"Why me?" Naruto demands.

"Because I felt like it! Now do it, slave!"

"Bah." Naruto grumbles something under his breath. "Angel doesn't own Naruto or anything associated with it. Nor does she own 4Kids (then again - who the hell would want to?) or the like."

"Excellent," Angel says, grinning. "So, then, till next time!"
