Chapter One
Sabaku no Gaara: Saved

When news cut across Konoha about Sabaku no Gaara's capture by Akatsuki, many of Konoha's ninja's had taken it upon themselves to aide Suna in his rescue. It had been Haruno Sakura that broke through the walls of Akatsuki's hideout, and it was their that Uzumaki Naruto reeled in anger at what he was witnessed to. Being held in a red liquid whilst Shukaku was being sucked from Gaara's straining body was enough to give Naruto four tails as he summoned the Kyuubi's power. His friends, (Team 8 and Team Gai including Sakura) were closeby and shocked from his seemingly deadly demon's cloak. They watched in awe as the Akatsuki members tried to speed up the extraction, thus making Sasori and Deidara of the Akatsuki act as a shield.

"So...." Deidara said with a smirk on his face, "Which one of you will stand to me?."

The question the teams thinking.

Who deserved the chance to take one of them out for what they were doing to Gaara?

Who had the courage to even try it?

But the most important question of the day though: Was who could defeat him?

A figure appeared before him, a final answer to the question he gave. Time seemed to stop when Naruto's crimson red eyes turned to see who it was that stood metres away from him. The human in him seemed furious with the choice, yet the ninja in him was proud to know that someone worth standing by him without fear, was able to look past fear of their own death, and instead join him to the battle of the end. He gave a simple nod, including a smile that he hoped wasn't vicious looking, then in the blink of any eye was gone. As for the brave ninja who stood up to Deidara, they too took flight and so their battle began. The remaining teams watching blinked in confusion, wondering how someone they've known for so long, could hold such power, a power that compared to both Naruto and Gaara's. It was insanely disturbing not to have known.

"I don't have all day." Sasori, the dark hooded man spoke, "I don't care how many of you come at me, just do it already."

Again the eyes went around, searching for the one who would most likely try him out. He was afterall the most known puppet master ever known to ninja's. A blur of black and white appeared before the hunched-back man, and with a stroke of luck Sasori smiled at his opponent, a definate sign that he was happy with the turn of events. In a flash, Sasori and his opponents clashed, a battle much similar to that of Deidara's who seemed to be struggling, who wouldn't if all you had to fight with was a bit of clay that could make you blow into pieces.

For Naruto, things seemed to brighten up his motives. He managed to break through the barrier which Gaara was concealed in, and managed to throw Gaara's unconscious form to the outside, in exchange...for his own life. It startled the many Akatsuki members to find that Naruto's power when combined with the Kyuubi's was one to be reckoned with. He had taken in all of their findings, and instead of them taking his power, he was instead slowly absorbing their own. The more they tried to take, the more Naruto would get, and in realising this the Akatsuki fled, barely keeping themselves from harm when Team Gai was already prepared outside to handle them. It took a reassuring smile from Sakura, to tell Naruto that Gaara was alive. And it was with this revelation, that Naruto fell from his aggressive state.

"Hinata, Kiba, Akamaru." Naruto said, "We got what we came for, let those two go, for now."

Hinata, in the process of slashing Deidara with her bare hands nodded and took refuge next to Naruto. Akamaru who was in a form barely noticeable while in the shadows, minimized to his more innocent-self and both he and Kiba stood on the otherside of Naruto, giving Deidara and his master sometime to disappear like their other weakened comrades. With a heavy sigh, Naruto splashed on his usual comical smile, urging Hinata and Kiba to do the same, for their friends were still baffled at their earlier performances. Gaara, who had awoken several seconds later winced, struggled to stand, and was beside them with the help of Hinata who was helping him stand straight. It was a sight for sore-eyes, but when Kakashi and Maito Gai stared at this four man group that was able to stand to Akatsuki, it set in the mental image of a team powerful enough to conquer the world. A team of unknown Jinchuuriki's.

"Thankyou." Gaara whispered to his comrades, including that and looking up at a blushing Hinata.

"H-hai." She studdered.

"Hey no problem, just make sure you warn a guy before you go against the Akatsuki all by yourself." Kiba said with a smile; Akamaru barked to emphasise his point in the matter.

Their eyes went to a quiet Naruto who's smile seemed to grow more and more, "I'm sure you would've done the same thing, well maybe not for Kiba and Akamaru, but for me and Hinata."

Kiba struck the blonde-haired boy atop of the head and growled, "You punk, are you trying to say me and Akamaru aren't worth saving?."

Naruto sulked and rubbed gingerly at the bump forming on his head, "Comeon Kiba i was only joking, can't we settle this man to man over some ramen?."

Kiba smirked, "You never change do you? Everything always has to involve ramen." He explained shaking his head as he remembered looking back at all the times Naruto would whine for his ramen. His fix to a grimy situation.

"Well done everyone, you sure proved Akatsuki that no matter what happens..." Maito Gai had stars in his eyes, "...friendship always prevails."

'Hai.' Gaara thought with a hidden smile, 'Friendship and love.'

(AN: Long story short, this chapter had many incorrect spelling errors, so i had to edit alittle with the help of my niisan. It'll be longer and more stimulating then this, so yeah, a review or comment or whatever it's called would be a good peace of heaven for my mind so yeah).
