Me: I'm sorry that it's been taking me so long to update, but I have a PRE-AP assignment that I have to do and it takes up a lot of my time. Oh yeah, well in the chapter that I told you about the mansion, well it's really more of a castle. It's on the outskirts of Konaha.
Gaara: No she doesn't own Naruto and she never will.
Me: Why must you keep reminding me of that depressing fact?
Training
Gaara looked around, he wondered where Neko lived. Looking for someone who might be able to tell him he spotted a huge castle on the outskirts of Konaha, `Well, I guess I found where Neko lives.' He headed toward the castle thinking all the while about Neko's strange family.
Finally he came to a stop in front of two large doors of black steel. The doors held the design of two large tigers playing in a field of flowers. Suddenly Gaara was faced with a problem: how the hell was he supposed to get in to see Neko? His thoughts were interrupted by a loud voice coming from somewhere above him.
“Who are you and what do you want?” Shouted a female with long black hair and blue eyes.
“I'm Sabaku No Gaara; I've come to see Neko. May I come in?” She warily eyed him for a moment then sighed.
“Yeah give me a second and I'll get the door.”
She jumped down from her perch on top of the wall, landing crouched on all four's. Walking up to the doors she grabbed the handle and pulled. When the doors opened, Gaara walked in marveling at the size of the place after wandering around for ages, trying to find Neko, and failing miserably. He came upon a garden with a waterfall that had a lake at the bottom and many flowers around the edge, and a willow tree with a bench underneath it, and many more things. But what held his attention was the large building that looked like a dojo. He heard the unmistakable sounds of fighting going on and walked toward the building.
When he opened the door he almost dropped to the ground in a dead faint. He had found Neko; she was training with . . . someone; the person looked like she could be the head of the guard. Neko was in a black halter style tank top, and very short black shorts. She had no shoes and her hair was as it always was: a brailed ponytail. She didn't have her headband on and in her hand was a sword. Not just any sword, the blade was black and about 4 feet long and 3 inches wide. She was covered in a light sheen of sweat, making her skin glow.
The guard swung her broadsword at Neko, who ducked and swung her sword at the guard's feet. The guard jumped and kicked Neko in the stomach, making her fly backwards. Neko caught herself and charged at the guard and used the handle of her sword to hit the guard in the chest. The guard bent over and coughed up a bit of blood.
“Come on Natomi, I know you can do better than this you are the captain of my elite guard. Quit holding back, I can take care of myself.” Neko was baiting Natomi, who had been holding back afraid she would hurt her. They both dropped their weapons and started fighting hand to hand.
Natomi kicked Neko in the stomach making her drop to the ground. Neko swiped her long, black claws at Natomi's leg. After she got up Neko punched Natomi in the face. She threw a kick at Neko hitting her in the back of the knee; Neko grabbed her foot and twisted sending Natomi to the ground as well. Neko stood and waited for Natomi to regain her footing, and began looking around.
“Hey Gaara! I didn't know you were here. Why didn't you say something?” Neko asked while walking over to talk to him.
“I was watching you train, you are very skilled with a sword,” He mentioned.
“Natomi you are excused. So Gaara what brings you to here?”
“I just wanted to see you. Hey did you hear about the explosion down one of Konaha's allies?” Gaara asked.
“I don't have to hear about it. I was the cause of it.”
“You did that? God woman! Why on earth would you do something like that?” He asked in a state of shock.
Neko quickly filled him in on the details while she headed up to her room. When she was done she walked into the hot springs that she had in her room. She slammed the door behind her, leaving Gaara alone in her room. `Well . . . she never did tell me that I couldn't explore; just not to go into her sister's rooms.' Was Gaara's sly thought before he started to explore the room.
“Hey you. What are you doing in Neko's room?” Said a bored voice from right outside the closed door. Gaara got up and went to open the door, to find that it was on of Neko's sisters, Rayne.
“Oh. It's you. You're that kid from Sand that Neko likes,” she thought out loud while walking up to him. Grabbing the front of his shirt she lifted him off the ground with one hand. “You break her heart; I'll break your bones.”
Neko got up out of the hot springs and grabbed her towel and dried herself off. She squeezed as much water out of her hair as she could, and slipped into her black silk robe. She walked into her room, her long black hair trailing on the ground behind her, and found her sister holding Gaara up by the front of his shirt.
“Nee-chan! What are you doing?” she cried running forward and prying her sister's hands off of him. Rayne just smirked at her and left.
Neko offered her hand to help Gaara off the ground. She pulled him over to sit on her bed so she could check for any injuries that her sister might have unintentionally made.
Suddenly a servant came rushing in. “Milady, sorry to interrupt you, but Kira is gone! She just vanished, I went to go get her for her bath and she wasn't there,” She stopped to take a breath and continued, “I've looked everywhere for her!”
A pale man with long dark purple, almost black, hair and gold eyes watched Neko run from the castle to find her pet. He turned, “Kimimaru, make sure that the cat does not escape.” A man with white hair and beautiful green eyes nodded. `Damn I hate that man. He may be Orochimaru's son, but I hate him.' Kimimaru thought as he watched his master leave.
“Kira. Kira where are you? Come on don't do this to me! I need you! Please come back!” Her shouts turned into sobs as she fell on the ground and cried for the first time since her parents had died.
“She's gone . . . I'm all alone . . .” Was all she could say as her black angel wings wrapped around her as if trying to tell her that she was not alone.
“Why? Why does everyone leave me? Don't they care? Do they really hate me that much? No! I don't want . . . I don't want to be all alone again! No! Please! Anything but that! Don't leave me all alone! I'm sorry! Please! I'm sorry.” She sobbed as she stared up at the sky. I a frail child-like voice she said again “Don't leave me. Please . . .”
Me: Yeah she has some issues about being alone, but yeah please don't kill me for taking so long to update! I couldn't resist the sisterly warning. Thank you Sharingan-Sakura (nee-chan) for giving me the idea when you said the same thing to my boyfriend. Yes I get inspiration from the strangest places. Review please!!
