Yaa!!!!! Chapter Two!!!

The trip to Suna was long and hot. Gaara hadn’t said a word since we headed out. From the position of the sun I could tell we had traveled for five hours and I was exhausted.
I put my hand over my eyes and searched the horizon for any sigh of the sand wall guarding Suna. “Just a few more hours” he said as if reading my mind. I sighed kicking some sand.
----------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feeling thirsty I reached back for my water bottle only to find out it was completely empty ‘Darn I must have drank it all while training’ Gaara stopped suddenly and bumped into him. “Here” He said holding out one of his water bottles to me.
I looked up at him and grabbed the bottle from his hand. “Thank you” I mumbled blushing like crazy. I took a drink and it was surprisingly cold despite the desert sun. Handing it back to him I mumbled another thank you and started walking again. “Why did you leave Konnah?” He asked in a monotone. I was silent for a moment thinking of a place to start.
“Naruto, Kakashi, and I were on a mission to infiltrate Orochimaru’s hide out and bring back Sasuke, but it didn’t go exactly as planed” I paused to clear my throat. “It was a trap, Orochimaru and his goons attacked us and I couldn’t do anything to save Naruto” I said with teary eyes.
Taking a deep breath to calm myself I went on. “All I could do is stand by and watch as Naruto fought while Sasuke and Orochimaru got away” he nodded his head as if telling me to go on. “And now Naruto’s in the hospital and Sasuke still with Orochimaru all because I wasn’t strong enough”
“So I ran away to train and now I’m with you” I finished, letting out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. “Why would you want to save someone who betrayed you’re village?” I stopped dead in my tracks. “Because Sasuke’s my friend and I will never leave my friends behind” I said angrily stomping in front of him.
Opening my mouth to argue with him some more but he cut me off. “We’re almost there” he stated. I turned around and saw that we were almost upon the sand wall. “Wow” I said dumbly. It was humongous this place had to be much bigger than Konnah. “I never knew it was so big” I gasped in awe.
When we reached the gates Temari and Kankuro were waiting for us. “Hey Gaara who’s you’re new friend” Kankuro asked walking toward us. “That’s Sakura from the chunnin exams idiot” Temari sassed pulling Kankuro back and telling him not to even think about it.
“So Sakura why the visit?” Temari said letting Kankuro go. Gaara stepped forward. “She’s here so I can train her” He stated blankly and headed into the village. I looked at Temari and followed Gaara to the Kazekage tower.

“I never knew you were the Kazekage” I said playing with a paper weight I found on his desk. I looked over at Gaara. He was rubbing his head and filling out paper work. “Do you want some help” I asked walking over to him waiting for an answer. He picked up some of the papers and handed them to me. I grabbed a pen and started filling them out.
There was so much paper work on some real stupid stuff. It took us three hours to finish and sort through the mess. “Come we have to go buy you some training clothes” he said setting down his pen. “I’ve already got training clothes though” He smoothed out his robes and headed toward the door.
“Weather conditions here are much different than in Konnah” I set the work on his desk and followed him out the door. “If you stay in you’re clothes you’ll get wind blisters and sunburn” I’ve never had a wind blister but it sounded painful. “Oh okay”
We headed out to the shopping centers and ended up getting a purple and black training kimono (Kinda like Temari’s) and a black face cover for real windy days. When we rung it up I told him I’d pay for it but he insisted and wouldn’t let me pay.
We arrived at his house and he showed me my room. “Thank you for letting me stay with you” He nodded his head “Get some sleep, tomorrow we’re getting up at 6:00 sharp” With that he left the room. I laid on the bed and closed my eyes.
‘This is so awesome!!!’ I thought before sleep claimed my body.
