We are family ... Right?
I do not own Naruto or the characters in the anime and manga .... I kindda wish I did though!!!!
Naruto has no friends, no family, and is hated by almost everyone in the village. But what happens when he meets a girl who offers him what he always wanted .... an excepting family? What happens when he finds out they're from another world? Will he be as excepting to them as they are to him?

Naruto stared out of his bedroom window. It was just another day at the ninja school. He hated it. No one gave a damn about him, and this was his second time failing!!! He wanted to be a ninja, to be hokage and finally be respected by the very people who hated him so. But above all, he wanted to be normal. Friends, family, and exceptance by someone.

He sighed. He knew it wouldn't be easy. With him being who he was, he was starting to lose hope. His usual hyperactive and enthusiastic self was starting to wear off. Slowly, he could feel a deep depression pulling him into darkness.

'Maybe next year,' he thought. He was still young, a fter all. Only eleven. Eleven. 'Next year, I'll pass ... and become a ninja ...'

What was the point? Why protect the village that hates him so? No one cares about him, so why even bother becoming a ninja?

'To prove them wrong ... To prove that I can be something worth acknowledging. That I can be just as good, or even better, than everyone else!'

He looked at his clock. It was almost midnight. Tomorrow, after breakfast, he'd train his hardest so that he could pass next year. Tomorrow, everything would be different! Tomorrow .... But tonight ... This morning, I mean ... he had to sleep.

He sighed again, and quickly covered himself in his blanket. He fell asleep with tears in his tightly closed eyes.

~~ Outside the village, in the forest~~

A bright orb fell from the sky, and popped as soon as it hit the ground. Two figures yelped in surprise as their butts hit the cold wet ground. One of them, a dark skinned female with black hair and eyes, looked around nervously. She smiled, almost relieved. The other, a young boy with dirty blonde messy hair and brown eyes, moaned in exaggerated pain. The female looked at her companion, eyes wide as she tried not to laugh.

The boy glared at her. "Whatever happened to me, it's your fault!" he pouted. "After all, you caused this!!" He glared, trying to look as mad as possible. "Youko, you better not laugh at me."

The woman covered her mouth. "I can't help it! You're so cute!!" She couldn't' help but giggle as she got another glare from the too-cute-to-be-normal boy. She looked around.

"What did we come here for?" The boy asked. He paused. "And why do I sound like a kid?? Am I a kid again?" Youko nodded. "Well, that explains it." He pulled on his oversized blue clothes.

"Don't worry, puppy! If this is like the last world, we should be okay!" Youko leaned forward to hug the small, thin boy. "Remember, I'm your big sister! I'll protect you."

The boys eyelids slowly closed. He was tired. Was it because of the energy he used getting them there? "What did you wish for?" he asked.

Youko gently pushed him so that he was laying down. After covering the palish boy with his own shirt, she laid down next to him.

"I figured you'd like a new brother," she whispered. "So I figured the best way to find you one was to go somewhere other than home." Before the child could protest, she kissed his forehead. "Then, when we find him, we'll go home, okay?"


The blonde nodded, pouting, tears forming in his eyes. He rolled over onto his stomach so that his 'sister' couldn't see him crying. After a moment,he rolled over again, saying, "Goodnight, Lady Youko."

The woman smiled. "Good night, White Spirit." And with that, they both fell asleep, wondering what this new world had to offer them.

Naruto woke up, yawning widely while stretching his arms and back. Today's the day he'd change. He showered, changed into his orange outfit, and grabbed two pieces of bread before running out the door. Today's the day, so he'd better get started.

He jetted down the street, ignoring the glares he was given by the people surrounding him. He turned left, right into and alley, left, over the fence, left again, and ran strait out of the gates without noticing the raven that had been watching him as he sped by.

White Spirit yawned, covering his mouth and crawling away from the still sleeping Youko. He stretched, much like a dog, might I add, before doing a personal inspection.

Let's see ... He felt the top of his head, then the sides. Human ears. He looked behind him. No tail. Then he looked at his small chibi like feet. He was younger. About nine years younger. He pulled on the now-too-big-for-him, blue boxers. He pulled the draw string, which helped keep them in place. He was unusually thin, even for one like himself, who was always really thin.

Not that he was annerexic or anything ... He never had alot of food to eat in the first place. And if he did, he'd get sick after eating too much, anyway.

"So, I'm human in this world." He looked back at Youko, who looked like she just woke up from the comically tired look on her face. He chuckled. "Seems like you might be human, too."

Youko blinked, smiled, and laughed tiredly. "At least I'll be used to it! Unlike some people, I've pretended to be human my whole life!"

That was true. On their home world, Catalyst, they were both non human creatures. He was a dog creature and she a fox. Because she was so powerful, she was able to shape shift into just about anything else, so she chose a humanoid. WS, as he was so often called, had the weird power to manipulate earth in ways no one else could. It was very similar to alchemy, but to a higher level. No one else could do that but him without using magic.

But that was their home world. He was also about twenty-one with a well paying job as an educator and travailing cook. Youko was the most wanted theft to ever live in their time. But now, they're on a different planet, with different rules, and different creatures. Would Youko even be able to do the things she could before? If not, than they were both in deep trouble.

"I'm going to go look for water, Lady Youko," the pup said. After hearing her moan in annoyance about being called 'Lady Youko,' he set off chuckling.

He took the time to study his surroundings. The plants, although colored differently, looked alot like those on Catalyst. The birds, the bugs, bushes, trees, and leaves. So different, yet so similar. That should make finding a river or lake that much easier.

His ears twitched, hearing someone yelling in agrivation about something. He looked towards the direction the sound was coming from. Were people living out here? Maybe they could give us some water and bread. It was worth a shot.
He creeped towards the sound, careful not to make his presence known. It lead him to a clearing in the trees. A young boy, about eleven, stood there dressed in a bright orange and blue jacket and pants. There was a red swirl on his back also. WS could see the spiky yellow hair that seemed to stiffen in aggravation. What could he be doing here?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHY COULDN'T HE GET THIS RIGHT!? Naruto had been training for about an hour, trying to perfect the techniques he needed to pass for next year. The stupid replication jutsu was the only thing standing in his way. But, he couldn't do it! WHY?!?!?!?!?

WS stared. Was he some sort of small, evil creature that didn't find a hunt? What if he spotted the pup? He needed to get out of there. He turned, started to run ...

But ended up tripping and landing sideways in a bush. He could feel his ankle get warm, then throb in pain. He must've twisted it.

"WHOSE THERE!?" a voice yelled out. The boy fought the huge bush, trying to escape before he was seen, but only seemed to sink deeper into it's thorny twigs. He saw the yellow spikes come ever closer to his bush. Was this it?

A young boy with tanned skin, blue eyes, whiskers on his cheeks and goggles on his head eyed his suspiciously. He narrowed his eyes, eyebrow twitching as if he were mad at the boy stuck in the bush.

"What," he asked, "are you doing? Spying on me or something?" He paused for a moment. "And why are you in your underwear?"

Ws could feel his face grow hot. He laughed nervously. "Well - uh, I'm here - I mean we're here because .... " He looked up at the other boy nervously.

Naruto couldn't think of anything else to say at this point. There was an underfed, blushing kid in his underwear, trapped and scrapped up by a bush. His large brown eyes looked around nervously, as if looking for someone. If Naruto had seen a weirder person, it would have to be himself, because this kid seemed pretty strange ... there was no other way to describe him. From his blue boxers to the weird way he styled his hair! The back was kindda short, but he had long bangs in front, which were parted into five spiky pieces. His skin had a faint tannish glow to it, but he was still pale as all hell.

Naruto's head tilted. "You need help?"

WS blinked. "AH! Uh! Please?"
Naruto held out his hand, with the other blond took greatly as they pulled him out of the bush. Damn! This kid was light!!

After dusting his boxers off, WS looked nervously at the boy in front of him. He lowered his head, saying, "Thank you very much. My name is White Spirit." He paused, lifting up his head alittle. "You may call me WS if you want."

"Uzumaki Naruto, of Konoha village." He crossed his arms. "You better not be an enemy ninja, or you might have to go back into the bush."

"I'm not! I'm not!" WS waved his hands frantically. "Honestly! I'm not even a ninja! I'm defenceless!!"

"Puuuuuppyyyyy!!" a woman's voice called. "Puuuuuppyyyyyy!! Common! I found out something cool!!! Come look!!! Common, where are ya!?"

WS and Naruto looked at each other. The pup opened his mouth to explain, but before he could, Youko had scooped him up into her arms, hugging him tightly.

"Aha! I found you!!" She spun the two around, doing her makeshift victory dance. "HA!" She stopped and looked Naruto. "Puppy, he better not be a dumb blonde, or else I won't approve of the wedding."

"WHAT!?!?!?" the two yelled in union. Youko smerked. "You heard me. I know he's cute, pup,but you've gotta have standards!"

WS pushed himself out of Youko's arms, causing her to make an over dramatically hurt face. "I wasn't doing anything like that!!" He yelled. "I was about to ask him where there was water, to be honest, before you arrived!" He turned away from Youko and stompped off a couple of feet, so he'd be out of arms reach.

Youko snorted, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. "Yeah, whatever lover boy." This earned another one of WS' glares, which no one could take seriously because his eyes looked to innocent at the moment.

"Who are you?" Naruto questioned. "And why do you keep calling him 'Puppy'?"

Youko looked at Naruto again. She could sense something about him. She smiled, saying very dramatically, "I .... AM ... YOUKO ICHI!!!!!" She took a pose to match her dramatic introduction. "But you can call me Youko," she added.
Naruto nodded, his brow frowning. These poeple weren't as weird as him ... They were There was no way hese two could be enemy ninja, they seemed too clueless.
"Well, I'm Naruto Uzumaki," he pointed northeastward. "And the closest river is that way. If you walk down that road --"

"You wanna be our brother?"

Naruto blinked. "Uhhh? Where'd that come from?"

"Do you want to be our brother," Youko repeated. "It's a simple yes or no question."

Naruto blinked. "Whyyyy?"

"Because WS needs someone his age to hang around with." She smiled innocently. "You seem like a good rolemodle type person. Mind Being WS' twin brother?"

Naruto blinked. The ....uncannily atractive woman in front of him was asking him to be their brother? A brother ....

"A family...?"

Youko smiled. "Hells yeah! We could be the chaotic trio of your village! We could be the greatest!"

Naruto glared at the ground. He was suddenly reminded that he had come here to train to be a great ninja ... So he could graduate Konoha's School of Ninjistu. Youko crawled over to Naruto, sitting in front of him, eyes beckoning to tell her his thoughts.

"..... I came here to train," he said bluntly.

"For what?" She asked.

He narrowed his eyes. "To become a ninja. And then the village hokage."

"Is that all?" she asked, somewhat disappointed. "All you want to do is be a hokage?"

"What do you mean, 'is that all'?!?" Naruto glared hard at Youko. "You act like being the village savior is no big thing!!"

"It isn't," Youko laughed.

"WHAT!?"

"Why would a tiny little thing like you want to be some weird old Hokage! You'd be better off being a sewer rat the way you're headed!!"

"WATCH IT!!" Naruto baired his teeth. "WATCH WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO!!! SOMEDAY, I WILL BE THE HOKAGE! NOT SOME SEWER RAT!!!"

Youko smerked. "What kind of Hokage? The kind that sits around on his duff and eats chips all day? You gonna be the Hokage everyone hates and wishes they never had? Huh?"

WS shook his head. She had to pick fights with everyone they met, or else she didn't see the point in talking to them .... Oh, boy. This was gonna get nasty.

"I'LL BE THE GREATEST HOKAGE!!! SOMEONE THAT ALL THE VILLAGERS WILL LOVE AND RESPECT!!! SOMEONE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE HOKAGE WHO SAVED OUR VILLAGE FROM THE NINE TAILED FOX!!!! SOMEDAY, I'LL BE SO GREAT THAT TRASH LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO EVEN THINK ABOUT TALKING TO ME LIKE THAT WITHOUT GETTING YOUR ASSES KICKED!!!"

"WHY!? You gonna be a whimpy Hokage and have some dumb ass fight your fights for you?? I doubt you can even throw a decent punch!!" She laughed mockingly. "How can you be a ninja - no, wait - how can you be a FIGHTER if you yourself can't throw a decent punch!?"

Before she could continue her taunts, she found herself dodging and blocking several kicks and punches. She found it slightly more difficult to dodge these boys punches then it really should be. Maybe this world not only messed with their looks, but their strength, too.

WS sat and watched by the very bush that had tried to swallow him whole a week ago. It had been about half an hour since they first started dueling with each other. Naruto was doing most of the actual attacking, while Youko gave him advice on what he could've done instead. Soon, he started using more strategic moves, like tripping and combination attacks.

But right now, they were both laying on the grass floor, laughing at a joke that Youko had just told. It had been, actually, about a week and a half, since the three first met. Naruto slowly grew to enjoy trading insults and teases with Youko, who would teach him exactly how to get people to do what he wanted. Naruto doubted that he'd be using that skill very often, though, considering how .... AHEM!
"I still can't believe it!" Narto exclaimed. "You two are from a whole other world! You said you got here using magic, yet you won't tell me how I could get to your place!"

"Our home isn't a place for little boys like you to play in!" Youko laughed. "Maybe we'll give you a suvoneer instead."

Youko had told him everything ... Including WS' power. The power to control time, because he was it's guardian. He could do anything he wanted, but for, what he felt were, ovious reasons, he decided against it. But when Youko told him that they would soon be leaving for home, Naruto got depressed, and started staying out with them in the forests more often.

There was a lonely silence between the three. Naruto sat up, crossing his legs and arms. "So ... you two are leaving soon, than?" he asked sadly.

Youko sat up, and wrapped her arms around the pouting blonde. "It's okay, kit. We'll find a way to visit you again. But when we do," She smiled widely, "you better not be anything less than the best."

Naruto nodded, hugging Youko back. It was amazing how close they were after only a week or two. Youko and WS didn't lie to him, told him everything, and trusted them with their secret. And so did Naruto. He told them about him being the human form of the nine tailed fox. He told them about his hopes, his dreams, even the girl he's had a crush on for the past year. Youko said she'd hope to have nieces and nephews soon! Naruto said he'd have to talk to Sakura about that .... But he was joking!

They also learned alot from each other. Naruto taught them that they couldn't use their energy here the same way they could in Catalyst. He taught them how to fight more like ninja and how to use ninjutsu. Youko taught him about less usefull things, like how to get someone to do anything for you using sex appeal. She also taught him to get people to leave him alone using the same teqniques. WS taught him more useful things, although Naruto only understood alittle of it. Regardless, they had fun and enjoyed each others company. That's probably why it was so hard for Naruto.

"So ... when?" Naruto asked.

"Hopefully within the hour. If we stay here any longer, we might attract unwanted attention."

WS stood, dusting off his tank top and denim shorts, which Naruto had gotten for him earlier last week. He looked down at the oddly shaped necklace around his neck. It was glowing a dull grey color. It was time to go.

"I don't want you to go!! We just met and you guys have to go to another WORLD!?" Naruto shut his eyes, trying to keep the tears from falling in vain. He started thinking of all the things they could've done. What they could've shared ... If they were gonna leave so soon, why ask him to be their brother!?

"Naruto," WS said, strolling up to him and the black vixen, "we can come back someday .... We just have to figure out how to go home ...."

Naruto stood up,his face brightened with a smile. "I got it!!! You can live with me! I have food, water, clothing, everything you'd need!!" That was about half true. some of the food he got was spoiled, he had only a few pairs of shorts and shirts, and the apartment he lived in was old and dirty ... but still, that was better than nothing!!!

But Ws shook his head. "We can't. At least, not now ..." Youko stood up, a sudden grace coming to her movement. Naruto saw the glowing necklace around WS. He looked away from them.

'I don't want to see them go,' he thought. 'They're the only ones who even give a shit about me ... why do THEY have to go!?'

He felt two arms wrap around him once again, a gentle kiss to the back of his head. He cried. They were leaving him....

"Remember," Youko whispered, "You promised to be the best. Don't let me down, lil' bro."

Naruto's eyes shot open. Youko had let go, a light flashing and blinking behind them. Naruto turned to face it, a variety of blues and golds playing the surface of the glowing bubble of light. The two siblings (self adopted mind you) stood inside of the bubble, preparing for their journey home.

Would they ever meet again? Would they ever get to see each other again? ... Of course they would!! They gotta!!

He smiled, tears pouring down like twin waterfalls. "Don't worry you two!!!When you come back, I'll be the best ninja around!! So good, that I'll already be Hokage!!!"

Youko gave a thumbs up. "Better believe you will!!!" she yelled back! "We'll be back, Naru-chan! You better be ready to show me what cha' got when we return!!"

Naruto nodded, looking at WS. The pup hadn't said anything for awhile. He didn't need to. The unshed tears in his eyes were enough.

"REMEMBER!! You guys PROMISED you'd come back!!! I mean it!!! If you don't, I'll hunt you down myself!!!!!"

WS laughed, and Youko stuck her toung out, both waving goodbye as the bubbles glow faded ... became transparent .... and disappeared.

Naruto smiled widely. His new goal: to be the greatest Hokage that ever lived! The greatest Shinobi! Not just someone who's respected, but someone who can fight for what he wants, for what he believes in!

"I'll become the best ... " he whispered to the wind. Then he turned around and headed home. He had a promise to fulfill to his brother and sister now! Better not let them down!!

AN: Okay, so I haven't written in about two to four years. I HAVE a reason .... I just don't want to say it. As you can tell, this isn't my best ... My best may never get posted, so deal with it. Tell me how crappy (or how good) it is. I might even write a few more chapters for ya later on!!! Tell me if you see any grammar/spelling/punctuation mistakes ....

...AND I KNOW NARUTO'S A BIT OOC!!! GAWDESS!!!!
