TBR: AWWW, you be sweet!!!
Sasuke: ... Just get on with the chapter.
---------
It was a dark and cloudy morning when our favorite blonde haired ninja woke up. In about twenty four hours, the village would be celebrating the defeat of the Kyuubi No Kitsune, while cursing the fact that Naruto had lived to be a year older. Yes, tomarrow was his birthday. It seemed almost fitting that it would rain on a day like this.

He sat up, yawned, stretched, looked over at his calendar. Where there was usually a picture of some pretty woman in a bakini, there was instead a sketchy picture of a young dark skinned woman with obsidian eyes and hair and a palely tanned young man with dirty blonde hair and large brown eyes. They were oviously not human. The female had fox ears and several tails behind her. The skinny stick of a male had dog like ears, one of them bent, and a fluffy golden tail behind him. Naruto glanced down at today's date, and smiled at the note he wrote on it:

Perpair for family reunion.

He looked over on the next day's note:

Meet up w/ family in woods.

The tan boy couldn't help but shake, he was so excited. He'd finally get to show off that he DID have a family ... even if theywereself adopted. He didn't care. The fact that he had anyone to call family was better than not having one at all.

He looked out the rain coated window again. Yes, the rain had been very fitting for today. Leave it to Mother Nature to complicate things when things were already almost unbairably complicated. Did that even make sence? Aggh! He had to do a bunch of prep work for today, so that he would be ready for his two guests tomarrow. He had asked Sasuke if he could help him out, but now that it was raining, he half expected the raven to back out. He had also asked Sakura to help out with getting gifts. Even though she didn't know why, the cherry blossom agreed to help out. Again, thanks to the rain, he expected her to not want to go.

'No rain is going to stop me!' he thought as he finally got out of bed. 'I need to get this done! And no pissing god is going to stop me!' He grabbed some cloths and rushed to the bathroom to get ready for the day.

~~
Sasuke sat in his bed, staring out his window. He could stay there all day if he really wanted to. The sound of the rain was relaxing, and he was still tired from training the day before. He was tempted to go back to sleep.

Then he remembered, 'Naruto wanted help with something.' He groaned, squeezing his eyes closed and pinching the bridge of his nose. What was he supposed to do? Help Naruto with .... Something about prepairing for something else .... He groaned again, getting out of his large bed and making his way to the bathroom.

After a quick shower, he walked back out, a towle wrapped loosly around his hips. He was supposed to ...

He drug through his dresser, through on whatever seemed appropriate for the day. He wore a hooded black sweat jacket with the Uchiha sign on the back, semi long, white denom shorts and a blue shirt underneath the jacket. The Uchiha stood still, his groggy mind trying to remember what the hell he was suppsoed to do.

'Something about beds .... and sheets .... Beds and sheets? In this weather?' The Uchiha shook his head. 'Naruto wouldn't be dumb enought to go out and look for beds now, would he? Whatever he needed them for could wait untill the rain cleared ..... He wouldn't ...'

Sasuke lifted the hood of his jacket, put on his shoes and quickly left out the door. Of course, the answer to all of those questions would be obvious to anyone who knew Naruto well enough. Hoping that he could go home and catch more of those precious Z's, he prayed Naruto would call off his plans for the day.

----
Sakura finished her morning grooming rutein. She made sure her hair was perfectly in place, that her cloths were perfectly clean and strait, that she didn't put on too much makeup, and that she looked her best. Everything had to be perfect, for today she would continue her endless mission ... To make Sasuke hers, and only hers!

Nothing could go wrong today ... except the rain. DAMNIT!! Why did it have to rain today!? She was planning on getting Sasuke to finally like her while they were helping Naruto! No, she wasn't taking advantage of the fact that Naruto needed both hers and Sasuke's help with whatever it was. No, she wasn't just going to flirt with Sasuke all day .....

Because he might not be there to flirt with!!!

'DAMNIT!! WHY'D IT HAVE TO RAIN TODAY!?!?!?' inner Sakura yelled. The outter Saukura just sighed in annoyance. Knowing Naruto, he'd get done whatever he needed to get done, rain or shine.

"I'd better get my coat," she muttered to herself. There had to be a bright side. Maybe this rain could work in favor of her!

-------
Naruto stood in the rain. Alone. Even with the badly made yet very thick layered orange jacket, he was soaked to the bone. It had been raining for about two hours since he woke up. Maybe Sasuke and Sakura wouldn't show?

Not like he expected them to show. He's expecting them not to come. It's raining, and they might not be up to running around shopping for people they don't know. It was okay by the blonde. Nodding to himself, he looked down at the market below.

He could do this two ways: the easy way, or the hard way. He thought about this for a moment ... Was there an easy way? No, of course not! The easy way is nonexistant! The easy way would be for him to walk down there, shop, and move on with his life without being glaired at or attacked! As usual, his reputation as the human form of the nine tailed fox would get in his way. Maybe he could quickly shoplift the things he needed without causing too much trouble ..... riiiight.

"Naruto!"

Said blonde smiled, his body slouching for a moment before turning to the pink haired ninja behind him. He greeted her with one of his fox smiles before Sasuke arrived, which rather quickly turned into a mild scoul. Sasuke ignored it, choosing to look down at the not so buisy market down below.

"So," said the raven, "what exactly are we doing here?"

Naruto crossed his arms. "Right! Well, you said you'd be willing to let my guests stay at your place, right?"

Sasuke nodded, remembering little of the phone conversation they had. Naruto had called, originally intending to ask to borrow two beds, then thought about it (omygodz!) and instead asked if his guests could stay at his place for a while. After refusing the first couple of times, and having to hear Naruto beg and whine for a good five minutes, Sasuke finally agreed to let his guests stay in some of his guest bedrooms. The rest of the time, though, they would be at Naruto's place, and out of Sasuke's hair.

"Who are you prepairing for, Naruto? They must mean alot to you, if you're going through all this."

Naruto looked at Sakura, an unknown emotion showing in his eyes, before he said, "They do mean alot to me. But I can't tell you anymore about them untill they arrive!"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "Why not?"

Naruto glared at the Uchiha heir. "Because I don't feel like it, okay?"

"Then I don't feel like helping you."

"WHAT!? NO! WAIT!"

Sasuke tilted his head, his foot on the edge of the roof. "Well?"

Naruto's gaze lowered to his feet. How could he explain this without breaking his promise? Maybe he could make up a story and ... no, Sasuke would think to question them, and WS is too honest and nieve to think about lieing about his life. Youko maybe, but not White Spirit. Common Uzumaki, think! THINK!

"Well ... uhhh." Sasuke turned back around. "WAIT!! Please! I know this may seem odd, but I REALLY need your help! This is the one REAL favor that I'll be asking of either of you!" Naruto clapped his hands together, his head bowed. "Please? Just this one favor, then I'll never ask anything else of you!"

The other two ninja blinked. He really wanted their help. How often is it that Naruto Uzumaki, the hyperactive, impulsive, thick headed ninja beg for one's help? Actually beg? ....

"What are we supposed to do," Sasuke rolled his eyes at his own weakened will to say 'no' to the blonde.

"First, we need to get food, then some cloths, then gifts!"

After a moment of silence, Sasuke asked, "Why dose it sound like I'll be housing hobos?"

"They're not hobos!!!!" Naruto looked at his feet again. "They just like to travil alot."

"What village are they from?" Sakura asked. "If they're from enemy villages, then we can't help."

Naruto couldn't come up with an answer, so he chose to ignored it. "I just need you guys to help me buy the stuff! Then, you won't have to see me untill our next mission!"

'So basically, he needs us for our money', Sasuke thought, now quite annoyed with his rival. 'If he wanted that, why didn't he just ask?'

"So, I need your guys' advice!"

Sakura blinked. "Advice? On what?"

"Gifts," Naruto said bluntly.

"Gifts," Sasuke repeated. "You need our advice ... on gifts?"

"What are ya', a parret? YES! Gifts! Advice! Please!?" The two nodded. "I don't know what they'd want. One of them is a girl, energetic, talkative, somewhat perverted, and enjoys fighting and plants."

Sasuke couldn't help thinking that the discription the blonde had just given him reminded him of said blonde. It didn't matter. As long as they got what they needed to do done.

"The other," Naruto continued, "is a guy, smart, not very athletic, like to cook and do ... housewife-ish stuff. Kindda like Iruka except .... " He paused, searching for the appropreate word.

"I think the girl would like something a little more lady like," Sakura stated. "She may be a fighter, but she's still a girl. Maybe a small potted plant, or a nice dress or something."

Sasuke rolled his eyes towards the market. "I'm not sure what the guy would want. Maybe we could get him a cook book ... Something that's practical."

Naruto nodded. "Okay then, let's go!"

Now, usually, getting a potted plant, a nice dress, and a cooking book would be easy. It would take half an hour tops, right? But due to the villagers' hate for the last Uzumaki, they were reluctant to let him buy any of the listed items. So, instead, Sakura and Sasuke had bought the items for him, looking at him for signs of approval before buying the product. In the end they had bought a small bush of star shapped violets (which had an unusually dark shade of purple); a long, black and white dress, form fitting with a deep V-shaped cut, revealing the naval of whoever wore the dress and that bloomed out from the bottom in flower like peadles; a large cook book full of recipies from all over the world, and a shirt that said, "I traviled the universe and saw the beginning of life, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt!". Naruto found the shirt to be very fitting for the other blonde that he'd be seeing later tomarrow.

"So, is this all, or are we helping you with food too?" Sasuke quickly regreated asking when he saw the pleading look on his comrads face. Why bother asking such a stupid question?

Just like before, the villagers were reluctant to let Naruto buy any food, for fear that he would curse everything in the store or something. Again, Sakura and Sasuke had to buy the food, Naruto giving them a rough description of what he would like. He resisted the urge to say "Twenty packs of ramen!!" with all his might. He could get ramen anytime he wanted. It was real food that he had trouble getting.

As the two shopped, Sasuke expressed his annoyance by glairing at anyone who would ask him why they were buying so much food. It was bad enough that he wouldn't be going to sleep for a while, but he would be housing people he didn't know, shopping with one of the many fangirls that annoyed the crap out of him .... Did we forget the lack of sleep? Yeah, he was tired.

Sakura, on the other hand, was in heaven. She could easily see them doing this when they got married. She glanced around, her green eyes showing triumph over all the other young attractive females that were after the Uchiha's heart. Sakura could feel it. She was one step closer to getting Sasuke's affection. Soon, they would be doing this kind of thing every week, then, possibly, doing more couple-ish stuff like going to the movies, or having dinner at her place. She sighed, further adding to Sasuke's annoyance.

When the two finished their shopping, they headed to Sasuke's house to drop off the food. Seeing as how the two mystery people would be sleeping there, it made more sence (to Naruto) that they should be able to have breakfast and dinner there too.

"Not that I'm trying to leave them with you," he explained to Sasuke. "It's just that I don't have much room at my place. I'll take them off your hands as soon as I'm able to!"

Sasuke didn't bother to rty and argue. The sooner they got this over with, the sooner he could go home.
-----
It was later in the evening, and Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto were eating bowls of ramen at one of Naruto's favorite ramen shops (guess which one). Sakura had been trying to get Sasuke to slow down his eating while trying to flirt with him. Naruto had silently challanged the raven haired teen to a ramen eating race. Whoever finished the most ramen the fastest was the winner. Of course, this caused Sakura's attempts to grab her first love's attention to fail miserably. She sighed. The past few bowls had ended in a tie. They were now chocking down their fourth. This would take a while.

"So, Naruto," the pink haired ninja sighed. "You still haven't told us much about the two you're expecting tomarrow."

Naruto looked up from his half eaten bowl of miso ramen, smiled brightly and swallowed his noodles before saying, "Well, they're pretty cool. One of them, the guy, is really smart. He taught me alot the last time he was here." He paused for a moment, a visable drop of sweat sliding down the side of his head. "I didn't understand all of it, but he sounded like he knew what he was talking about."

Sasuke shook his head, muttering the usual insult towards Naruto's intelegence. The blonde retaliated by calling him the usual names reguarding rather he knew his parents or not.

(Translation:
Sasuke: Idiot.
Naruto: BASTARD.)

Sakura sighed. "I best be going," she said, getting up. "Remember, we still have training tomarrow, even if it is a holiday." She paid for her bowl and waved goodbye as she left.

Naruto staired off into space. How could he forget about TRAINING!? How would he be able to pick up his self adopted siblings tomarrow!? He was supposed to meet them in the forest first thing in the morning, right!? ... Right??

"Judging by your look, it seems you've fogoten about training.." Sasuke smerked seeing the glair his companion had given him. "Why don't you just ask them to meet us at the training grounds?"

Naruto blinked. Why hadn't he thought of that?!

Sasuke stood, putting down the money to pay for his and Naruto's bowls of ramen. "Might want to try thinking ahead next time, dunce."

Naruto rolled his eyes, giving him the "Yeah, whatever" attitude. Sasuke did the same, leaving the blonde to finish his ramen alone.

Looking over his shoulder, the raven sighed. Who were these people who made the fox boy so happy? He wouldn't admit it, but Sasuke felt kind of .... dare he say .... jealous. Usually, their training and sparing was what Naruto looked forward to. The chance to beat Sasuke seemed like the one thing the blonde looked forward to. But now that there was someone else coming along, Naruto seemed to care less about their duels ..... It made him slightly depressed to think that the Uchiha's defeat was second on his 'Things To Do Today' list.

And yet, at the same time, he was suspicious. Why would Naruto keep who these people were such a big secret? Were they so secretive they wouldn't let Naruto tell his friends about them? What if they were a danger to the village.

... Why was he worrying so much?

Duh, because he's always worried about the blonde ninja. He always seemed to attract the worst kind of attention to himself and the people around him. Although, the Uchiha had to admit, he'd always come out on top when confronted with a problem.

He just hoped this problem wasn't too much for the teams Number-One Hyperactive Knuckle Headed Ninja.
