Chapter 2: The dramatic cliffhanger
"Sakura-chaaaaaaaaaaaaan!", a voice shouted happily and so loud that it could be heard throughout konoha. And it so happens
this voice belongs to a beloved blonde shinobi whose name I'm sure you know.
"Aaaaahhhhh! Sasuke-kun save me from him!", called the pink-haired kunoichi named Sakura as she held on to the arm of a very
popular raven-haired boy.
In response Sasuke just walked on without a care in the world.
"Hey Sakura-chan wanna go out with me?", asked Naruto
"Hell no!!!!", shouted the Sakura as she tightened her grip on Sauke's arm "Why the hell would I want to go out with you?"
"She's got a point dobe", said Sasuke with a smug little smirk
"To heck with you bastard", said Naruto as he pointed his finger at Sasuke. He turned to Sakura and said "Anyway to answer
your queation earlier Sakura-chan I have about 50 coupons for free ramen at oji-san's place hahaha!", laughed Naruto proudly.
"I doubt thats even enough to feed you dobe", said Sasuke cooly
"What you say you bastard?", shouted Naruto glaring at Sasuke
"So your stupid and deaf dobe", said Sasuke
"why you?", houted Naruto as he lunged for Sasuke
"Hmm? I didn't expect you to argue to till at least half an hour later", said Kakashi as he held a struggling Naruto in one
hand and his beloved book "come come paradise" in the other.
"Ahhh Kakshi sensei what are you doing here in the morning and its even a day off?", wondered Sakura
"Ah well that concerns this loud mouth over here, anyway you go on your way as I have business to discuss with Naruto", said
Kakashi
"Okay", Sakura said 'Yes that means more time alone with Sasuke!' shouts inner Sakura raising a fist to the air.
"Whatever", said Sasuke rather bored. And he walked away with Sakura still clutching his arm
"I'll get him", Naruto silently told himself
"Oy Naruto if you're done with your 'I'll get him someday' thing I think I should tell you straight that you're going on a
mission", said Kakashi not taking his eyes of his book.
"Huh we're going on a mission?", asked Naruto
"No you are", said Kakashi still reading his book "You are to meet with the 5th as soon as possible which means 10 minutes
ago"
"What?!?!? Why the hell didn't you tell me earlier?", demanded Naruto in his exagerrated what-the-hell face
"Well I reported in late and I had a hard time of finding you", said Kakashi without a care in the world.
-in the hokage's office-
"Ba-san *huff* I'm *huff* here *huff*", panted Naruto
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU LATE!!", demanded tsunade the 5th "I called for you 20 minutes ago and your house isn't really all that
far you could've been here in 5 minutes even if you walked"
"Don't blame me blame Kakashi sensei to slowly track me down and take 5 minutes to tell me that I had to be here 20 minutes
ago", Naruto shouted back
"I suppose so he is always late", said the 5th calmly "Any way you have been called here due to a request from the sand"
"The sand?", thought Naruto
"Yes the sand", continued the 5th "They have had a number of jounins who started to disappear since a month ago and they
have a shortage of men as we do so they have asked for our help so we're sending you"
"eh? why me wouldn't it be better if you sent a jounin?", questioned Naruto
"Yes that would seem to be the better choice but we're short on men as well", said tsunade "and they specifically wanted you"
"I see hehe must've impressed them during the chuunin exam", gloated Naruto
"I guess so", smiled Tsunade "Oh! and you're partner is..."
