[ P - Pre-Teen ]

I sighed loudly as I opened my eyes. Someone was yelling and they woke me up! I was having such a good dream too! Oh yes, I fell asleep during Naruto's match against Neji. It's not like I didn't know what was going to happen, so why bothering staying up for it? "I wonder how long I've been out...." I thought rubbing my eyes.


"WHAT A WASTE!!" it sounded like Ino who was yelling.


I looked at Ino to see she was shaking Chouji. "Huh? When did he get here?" I thought.


"WHY?!?" she continued. "He had a good chance of becoming a Chuunin!"


"He's just being himself," Chouji answered.


"WHAT!" I yelled out. "You mean I missed that matched?"


"I tried to wake you, but you were sleep like you were out cold," Hinata informed me.


"B-But that's the only match I never got to see!" I whined in thought. "And Gaara's too! Well, at least I didn't miss his." Suddenly, I saw Naruto hop down from the 'waiting' room. He looked as if he was yelling at Shikamaru who in turn was stretching. "I think he's ignoring him," I thought.


"The next match is finally the Uchiha one!" someone stated.


"Yeah, but who's this Gaara, his opponent?" another asked.


"Hmm... But I bet he's nothing compared to Sasuke Uchiha," someone else laughed.


"WHAT! What the hell did you say?" I yelled enraged as I turned around to face the one who said it. "I'll have you know that Gaara-kun will mop the ground with Sasuke's FACE!! YA GOT THAT!"


"I-It wasn't m-m-me!" the guy said who I was glaring at.


"Oh..." I said turning back around. "Then carry on!" I said cheerfully.


"Please try to have control," Hinata said sighing softly.


"Yeah, I have to work on that!" I said agreeing. "But Sasuke really needs to hurry up!" I said in excitement. "I wanna see Gaara-kun in action!"


"What's so great about that sand nin?" Ino asked me. "He kills for fun!"


"No..." I said. "He kills to satisfy... something that should have never come to this world."


"Huh...?" Ino said confused.


"And besides… he so cute when he's confused!" I said trying to change the subject. "How many people can pull that off?"


"Naruto-kun...!" Hinata chimed in.


"Besides him...." I said.


"He has no eyebrows!" Ino said. "How is that cute?"


"Ahh! But that, Ino, makes him look like an adorable panda!" I said. "Panda-chan! Though, I really don't think he likes being called that...."


"Hinata said the same thing when she was fighting Neji!" Ino said. "Do you like him too, Hinata?"


"No!" was Hinata's firm reply. Of course not, she loves her some Naruto-kun! Hinata would have probably blush a color no one has ever heard of before if I said that out loud!


"Come on, Ino! If Sasuke didn't exist then you would be all over Gaara-kun!" I said grinning. "You know how many fangirls that guy has? More than Sasuke... I think."


"I would not!" Ino said putting her nose in the air. Speaking of Ino, I wonder if Sasuke had given that kiss he owns her! Yeah, I didn't forget about our little bet we had when I was in Sakura's body!


"Okay! This is getting annoying!" I yelled out frustrated. "Where is that bird brain when you want him? He's always there when you don't want him!" I finished in thought.


"Time's up, so..." that guy never finished because all these leaves started floating around. And then a small whirlwind appeared in the middle of the fighting area!


The the wind stopped spinning so fast there stood Kakashi-san and the bird brain himself, Sasuke Uchiha. "Well, it's about time!" I muttered folding my arms. "Kakashi's lateness is rubbing off on him!" I thought. I looked down and instantly tried to hold in a laugh! "He really does look like a bird now!" I thought covering my mouth.


"Sasuke-kun!" Sakura exclaimed.


"He made it in time," a new voice got my attention, I turned and saw... LEE!


"Lee-kun!" I exclaimed hopping up and hugged him tightly.


"Ow! Ow! Oooow!" he said, I quickly released him and mutter a sorry.


"It's just I'm really happy to see you!" I said. "You can have my seat if you want!"


"Lee, do you know this girl?" Gai asked. "Is she your... girlfriend?"


"N-N-NO! You know who I like Gai-sensei!" Lee answered. "I've never seen this girl in my life!"


He sure said that fast! I could feel my eyes narrow. "Fine, then you can't have my seat!" I said sticking out my tongue and then sitting back down with my arms folded again. I stared at the field and saw Sasuke looking at Naruto; I guess they were talking to each other.


"YAY! SASUKE-KUN!!" Ino screamed standing up. And I just had to be sitting right next to her! I saw that Hinata had covered up here ears also. "Sakura, your team is amazing," Ino said calming down.


"How so?" Sakura asked. What do you mean how so? It's clearly obvious!


"Because Naruto beat Neji Hyuga," Ino answered. "And Sasuke-kun is an elite Uchiha. And it looks like everyone has been itching to see Sasuke-kun's match." Oh, he is not that great!


"Gaara, come down here!" I heard the man call up to Gaara.


"Gaara-kun...!" I thought smiling. "Finally I get to see this match after all those times I missed it on T.V.!" I finally saw Gaara coming on to the field. "There he is!" I knew that even if I were to call out his name, he wouldn't hear me because the crowd was really loud.


"Hey Gai..." a voice mad me turn. "And, Lee-kun, how's your body?"


"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura yelled.


"Oh, sorry, sorry," Kakashi said. "You must've been worried. I'm sorry I didn't let you know about this."


"I don't care about that anymore..." Sakura said; then shut up! You didn't have to shout out his name like you were angry! Almost scared the fan girl out of me!


"Kakashi-san! It's been awhile," I said making Kakashi look at me.


His right eye blinked in what seemed to be confusion. I quickly pulled down my shades slightly and winked. "Ahh, Mayu-chan! I hardly recognized you and Hinata-chan is here too."


"Yes..." Hinata said nodding. "Naruto-kun won his match against Neji-nii-san!"


"Well, I'm glad to hear that!" Kakashi said.


"Kakashi-sensei," Sakura said with her head bowed. "There was a bruise on Sasuke-kun's neck, right? That thing...."


"It's nothing to worry about anymore," Kakashi said. Oh how wrong he was! "That's how it is." Sakura nodded her head smiling. I shook my head knowing that mark would become a problem sooner or later... for everyone.


"Sasuke...."


"AAHHH! That was very hip of you, Kakashi!" Gai was going into his dramatic mode again. "Why do you always pursue revolutionary reactions?"


"I hope Lee-kun has better sense and doesn't grown up just like him..." I thought smiling nervously. My attention went back to the field, Sasuke and Gaara were staring at each other. Everyone was quiet for such a long time making me grin evilly. "YEAH! GAARA-KUN!! DROP SASUKE LIKE IT'S HOT!!" I yelled out drawing everyone's attention to me... and I mean everyone! I laughed nervously while rubbing the back of my head. "Haha... I mean... whoop, go Sasuke!" I said giving a victory sign.


"Mayu-san...." Hinata sighed.

S asuke sighed loudly when he realized who had yelled that out. "I should have known that was her," he thought. "She really doesn't care."


"That girl...." Gaara thought still looking up at the section Mayu was in. "She came... to cheer me on...?"


"Yeah... sometimes different is good," Mayu said smiling. "That's why I... like you. You're different than the others who always try to be like someone else." "Gaara-kun... I have to leave now, but I'll see you again at the third part of the Chuunin exams, kay?"


"Begin!" Genma said and then jumped back. Sasuke got into a defensive stance, Gaara did the same only sand came out his gourd. Sasuke jumped back a few feet.

"This must be the sand Mayu was talking about," Sasuke thought. Suddenly Gaara clutched his head with his right hand.

"Gaara-kun...?" Mayu thought staring intensively at the red head. "What's wrong with him?"

"Don't get so mad at me..." Gaara said. "Mom...."

"What is this guy talking about?" Sasuke thought staring at Gaara in confusion.

"Back there... back there... I made you absorb foul blood..." Gaara continued. "I'm sorry... But... this time... It'll taste better." Meanwhile back in the waiting room, Kankuro and Temari watched their younger 'sibling'.

"He's begun to converse now," Kankuro said. "This looks bad."

"I've never seen Gaara become like that before a battle," Temari said. "It must mean the opponent is strong... " Suddenly, Gaara's sand dropped and he panted lightly.

"Come," he said looking at Sasuke.

"Let's start then!" Sasuke said throwing two shuriken at Gaara, but his sand just came as a clone and caught the weapons before they reached him.

"That's a nice trick!" Mayu thought.

"The shield of sand became a replication of the sand," Temari said.

Sasuke suddenly ran towards Gaara; sand shot out at Sasuke, but he jumped and dodged the attack. While Sasuke was in the air, the Gaara sand clone threw the two shuriken at him, but Sasuke only deflected the attack. Sasuke then sent a kick to the sand clone making his hands dissolve. He then spun around and made his arm collide with the sand clone's neck. "He so got that move from me!" Mayu thought and then smiled. Sasuke then hit the the sand clone in the face with the palm of his hand causing the sand clone to disappear. Sasuke then ran towards Gaara preparing to punch him causing Gaara's sand to come up again to block Sasuke punch. But before Sasuke's fist could come into contact with the sand, he vanished.

He then reappeared behind Gaara. The red head turned aroun in surprise. "He's fast... he moves the same way as..." he didn't get to finish his thought because Sasuke had succeeded in punching him in the face cracking his sand armor.

"Gaara-kun!" Mayu thought, her eyes had widen. "How did Sasuke get so fast?" That one punch made Gaara fly back, his sand followed after him.

"That must be the armor of sand," Sasuke said once Gaara sat up. "Come."

Mayu's POV

I know I should be rooting for the home team... seeing as how Sasuke's my friend... I think.... "But Gaara-kun is... so fragile, even if he so strong," I thought. "I can't help but to worry for him... Gaara-kun."

"If you're not coming to me, I will go to you," Sasuke said and then started to charge at Gaara. I'm surprised that I can hear Sasuke at this distance. Anyway, Sasuke speed was incredible! I could hardly see he actually attack Gaara and still Gaara went flying!

Sasuke must have kicked him because his foot was in the air. "What's wrong?" Sasuke asked quite smugly. "Is that all you've got?" He doesn't have to be so cocky about it! "I'll tear down that armor of yours." Sasuke then ran towards Gaara at the speed of... I don't even know! He circled around Gaara, the only thing I could see was dust going around Gaara.

"I remember this, Sasuke used the same thing on me when he tried to get to Kakashi-san," I thought. "He failed because I blocked his attacks." I closed my mouth and swallowed spit. "But... he was never this fast! How did he get so fast in just one month?" I looked at Kakashi and frowned. "What has he done? Now it will be harder to bring him back to Konoha!" When I turned my attention back to the field I saw that Sasuke was a few feet from Gaara who was on the ground panting lightly. "Gaara-kun's sand armor has cracked! And I didn't even see what happened!" I thought and then turned my attention to Sasuke, he was panting much like a dehydrated dog.... hehehe hot dog! "I guess he uses up a lot of stamina to keep that speed..."

"What kind of training did you make him go through?" I heard Gai ask. "How could he become like that in only one month?"

"Sasuke has copied Lee-kun's hand-to-hand combat moves with his Sharingan before," Kakashi started. "That's why during the hand-tohand combat training... I made Sasuke picture Lee-kun's movements. Sasuke knew Lee-kun... That's why he was able to obtain that movement. Needless to say, he went through a lot trouble."

"So in other words... Sasuke's a big copycat like you!" I confirmed; I could have sworn I saw Kakashi fall out of place. "Anime fall...?" I thought.

"Uh... too put it bluntly... yeah...." Kakashi answered.

I turned my attention back to the fight and what I saw made me blink in confusion. "What the heck is that?" I thought. "It looks like a giant sand meatball! And where's Gaara-kun?" Sasuke started running to the giant meatball and then punched it.... weirdo! Why punch that...? Is Gaara inside? Suddenly it was like a chemical reaction because the meatball turned into spikes where Sasuke had punched it. Fortunately, Sasuke body wasn't hit by the deadly spikes.... I think.

Sasuke jumped back a couple feet and the said went back to it's meatball form. I saw that blood ran down Sasuke's cheek as he panted... I also noticed that blood was running down his right leg. "HAHA! It's his time of the month!" I said before I could stop myself. Once again, everyone looked at me. "I'm not really enjoying this... just ignore me," I said smiling nervously. Luckily they turned back to the fight and so did I.

"I didn't think that the difference in sand density could make it this hard," I heard Sasuke say... again, I wonder how could I hear him!

I saw that Sasuke's knuckles were bleeding. "Absolute defense...! I saw that in a comic thing once. Gaara-kun used that so Naruto couldn't get his cookies n cream ice cream back after Gaara-kun stole it," I thought grinning.

"All of the sand has enveloped his body," I heard Lee say. So Gaara was in the meatball!

"KAKASHI-SENSEI!" a voice made me turn. It was Naruto of course, no one has that big of a voice.

"Naruto-kun!" Hinata exclaimed.

"Oh hi, Hinata-chan!" Naruto smiled as he waved.

"You idiot! Stay focused!" Shikamaru yelled, yeah he was with him.

Naruto shook his head and looked back at Kakashi. "Sensei, please stop the match right now!" Naruto said. "He's... totally different from us! He's not normal!"

"I would hate to break this to you Naruto, but you're the same as Gaara-kun," I thought looking down at the meatball that Gaara still hadn't come out of. "You were lucky enough to have a better childhood."

"Naruto, what are you talking about?" Ino asked.

"He lives to kill people. Anyway... at this rate, Sasuke's going to die!" Naruto said. When he said that I could have sworn my stomach jumped! But why...?

I looked at the field and saw an... eyeball just above the meatball. "Did I miss something?" I thought.

"We were late for a reason," Kakashi said... huh? Yeah, probably stopped to get some more of those books Kakashi always reads! I turned back around to see that Sasuke had activated his Sharingan, he then unsnapped one of those black things around his arm. What's that gonna do against Gaara's defense?

"Sensei. What do you mean, you two were late for a reason?" Sakura asked.

Kakashi made a 'mmmm' sound. "Do you want to know?" he said.

"We don't have time for that!" Naruto yelled.

"Shut up and watch him," Kakashi said calmly. "You'll wet your pants."

"What? I'm telling y'all right now! Y'all better not wet your pants!" I said. "That is nasty!" But they seemed to be ignoring me...! I turned back to the fight to see that Sasuke was no where to be found! "Where did he go?" I thought looking around... I saw him on the wall!

I'm serious, he was just there... he must be using Chakra to stick to it. He made multiple hand signs before making his palm face the wall. "Where have I seen that before?" I thought. Suddenly it seemed like lightning was coming out of his hand! "But that's...!" I thought and then turned to Kakashi. "He taught him that move?"

"I supervised Sasuke's training..." Kakashi said. "Because he is similar to me."

"Kakashi-san... you have no idea what you've done!" I thought. "That attack... Will Gaara-kun be all right?" My attention turned back to Sasuke, he was running down the wall with lightning in his hand. He was charging straight at the meatball. "The defense will protect him... right?"

"I see... That's why you made him master hand-to-hand combat moves to dramatically increase his speed," Gai said drawing my attention.

"Correct," Kakashi said.

"That's amazing... I can see the Chakra clearly with my eyes," Sakura stated. "How is he doing it?"

"What is that?" Naruto asked.

"It's making a lot of noise. What is that move?" Sakura asked.

"Just a strange thrust," Gai said making me turn to him. "But it's Konoha's number one technique specialist... The Copy Ninja Kakashi's only original move."

"What?" Naruto asked.

"It's a secret move for assassination purposes," Gai continued. "Its secret lies in the speed of the thrust, and the activation of the body to generate a large amount of Chakra. Then he concentrates that large amount of Chakra into the thrusting arm. And because of the incredible speed he moves at... It emits a distinct chirping sound similar to a thousand birds chirping."

"Perfert for a bird brain like him..." I muttered causing Hinata to bump my shoulder and give me a 'be quiet' look.

"That is why that move is called... Chidori," Gai finished his lecture. I looked back at the field to see that Sasuke had penetrated the absolute defense!

"Did he get him?" I asked myself. "Gaara-kun...."

"Chidori... Also called Lightning Edge," Gai said.

"Lightning Edge?" Sakura repeated.

"That's the alias it took because Kakashi once cut through lightning with that move," Gai explained.

"WHAT!" I shouted looking at Kakashi. "Man, you must have been pretty crazy in your teen years! What a cool move to have."

"Why, thank you!" Kakashi said.

"Its true name is Chidori," Gai just kept talking. "And its secret lies...." he trailed off, or rather I was no longer listening.

"What about Gaara-kun? Is he...?" I thought. "Did Sasuke reach him?" Suddenly I heard a scream!

"BLOOD! MY BLOOD!" it sounded like Gaara!

"N-No way!" I said. "Not Gaara-kun.... it can't be...."

"Mayu-san...." I heard Hinata say.

I saw Sasuke had struggled to get his hand free and then he used the Chidori again! He slowly pulled his arm out of the sand, but something was attached! "That is not a Panda-Chan!" I thought watching as the, whatever that thing was, ease back into the meatball. The hole still remained though, it didn't close up like I expected it too. I narrow my eyes so that maybe I could see inside... there was something moving in there... and it wasn't Gaara! I leaned forward some to get a closer look; I instantly regretted it. I saw an eye and he made me so scared that I couldn't breathe!

"MAYU-SAN!" I heard Hinata say my name. "What's wrong with you? Mayu-san!" I could actually feel the blood lust. Sweat ran down my face as my breathing became ragged.

"T-T-That thing isn't G-Gaara!" I managed to say. Suddenly, I saw that the absolute defense was cracking! It then dissolved into the regular sand around Gaara's body; he was standing.

Gaara held his shoulder, I could see the blood on his pale skin. "Gaara-kun!" I thought. "So, Sasuke did manage to get him...!" Suddenly I saw feathers all around me. "Feathers... Illusionary Technique!" I turned to Hinata to see that her eyes were slowly closing, my eyes were also getting heavy. I shook my head and then shook her. "Hinata!"

Her eyes shot opened and looked at me; she then nodded and I felt myself go into Hinata's body. I quickly made a hand sign and muttered 'dispel'. Kakashi had taught me that when I was helping him train Sasuke. The feathers around me disappeared. I looked around and saw that serveral other ninja had used 'dispel' including Kakashi and Gai.

Hinata: Mayu-san... what's going on?

"I have no clue... but it can't be good considering everyone else is asleep," I thought standing. Suddenly there was an explosion over where the Hokage was! Something big is going down right now! And I think it's about Sasuke! I quickly ran over to the edge and jumped.

"Mayu!" I heard Kakashi call to me. I used the Chakra to stick to the wall as I ran down. I ran over to Sasuke.

"H-Hinata? What the heck is going on?" Sasuke asked.

"It's Mayu talking!" I corrected. "And I'm not completely sure myself... but whatever it is... it's not good!"
