“Sasuke…”

Naruto was silent as he followed Sasuke back to the Uchiha household. He didn't know what to think. He was surprised that Sasuke recalled the taste of miso ramen...and embarrassed, as well. He remembered the feel of Sasuke's lips against his. He'd dreamed of those lips touching his again, only not having to turn away in mock disgust. He wondered if Sasuke would ever call him by his name the same way he did in his dreams. When the Uchiha heir left, he'd felt bereft. It never occurred to him to ask why, nor did it occur to him to wonder why he felt he had to protect Sasuke. It was just the way things were. He had to be stronger than Sasuke so that he could protect him. It made sense in his mind. That's what mattered, after all, wasn't it? And now, Sasuke wanted to spend time with him. Not sparring…not in public…was it possible for dreams to come true? Or was he dreaming again? He considered pinching himself, but if it were a dream, he was quite happy for it to continue, to see where it would go. Why interrupt a happy dream, after all? But, in his dreams, he never went to Sasuke's house. He'd never been there. In his dreams, they were in the sparring field after dark, or maybe in his tiny apartment. In his dreams, though, it was always Sasuke leading the way. He was always following the other's lead…uncertain where things were to go, but Sasuke always knew, would always show him, and then, he would take the lead. This had to be a dream…just a different dream this time. And he was happy to let it continue.

The Uchiha compound was far removed from his tiny apartment, Naruto realized as they approached the gates. He was beginning to feel a bit intimidated, wondering what type of dream this really was. He continued to follow Sasuke, his eyes wide, finally managing to speak, but not keeping the awe out of his voice, “Ne…Sasuke….You live here alone?”

Sasuke turned, ready to make a sarcastic remark until he saw blue eyes wide in wonder, trying to take in the garden that led to the house, amazement painted over his features. He took a moment to look again on Naruto's face, his round cheeks, refusing to thin, even though the boy had no spare flesh anywhere else on his frame, the whisker like scars, the lips, a little full for a guy, but fitting with his cheeks, parted in awe as his eyes traveled along the well kept trees and shrubbery. Finally, he managed to answer, “Yes, I live here alone.”

Naruto continued, oblivious to the long pause before he was answered, “It's so beautiful, that's gotta make up for being alone, a little, doesn't it?” His eyes finally came to rest on Sasuke, aglow with pleasure.

Sasuke walked toward the boy, his body not under his command, until he was toe to toe with the boy. The years had been kind to Naruto; they were now nearly eye to eye. His voice soft, barely escaping his lips, “Nothing can make up for being alone.”

Naruto took in a deep breath, amazed at how shaky he now felt, how hot he suddenly felt. “Yeah,” he breathed out, “you're right…”

Sasuke held his ground, “And the only thing worse than being alone is knowing you can't have the one you want.”

Naruto swallowed visibly, “Yeah…”

“Why do you want her?”

Naruto blinked at this non sequitur. This didn't happen in his dreams. Maybe this was some cruel nightmare? “Her? Who her?”

Sasuke's eyes narrowed and seemed to bore into him, “Sakura. Why do you want her?”

“Eh? I do? Oh…well…” the boy stammered, trying to find the right answer, “I dunno…maybe I don't really. Why are you asking me, bastard?” he demanded, trying to glare into those black eyes that burned into his soul. He tried to take a step back, but found himself restrained.

“What do you mean, maybe you don't really?” Sasuke demanded, his eyes moving closer to Naruto's, trying to read the boy's mind and hidden being.

Naruto froze. Sasuke was so close to him, holding him, his face coming closer. He could feel the other's breath as he talked. He was feeling shaky, his knees threatening to leave him, wishing him luck with the business of standing without them. Not knowing what else to do, he breathed out, “Sasuke.”

The next thing Naruto knew, those lips, the one's he'd dreamt of, were on his, Sasuke's hand in his hair as the other held his body close. He'd dreamt of this, but his body refused to respond. His hands refused to move, to hold onto the body so close to his. Instead, they stood away from his body, fingers spread wide, trying to catch the wind. His eyes refused to close, but remained wide open, watching as Sasuke claimed his second kiss, a deeper longer kiss than their first. His voice refused to make known his pleasure in this act. He truly was frozen, more so than if he'd been carved into the mountain overlooking Konoha.

Feeling a lack of response, Sasuke backed away, hurt momentarily, until he looked into the blue eyes. They were dazed and lust glazed. Naruto's lips moved again, a ghost of a word flowing past, barely discernable, but he heard, “Why?”

Confused, Sasuke moved to pull back, but Naruto's body suddenly, almost violently began to comply with his thoughts. His arms wrapped around the lithe body of his teammate, preventing his escape. “Idiot…” he began, only to be cut off.

“Just say my name. Say it like you mean it, Sasuke,” the blonde begged, his voice panicky that he'd loose not only his friend, but the hope of fulfilling his dreams.

Sasuke looked at the boy in confusion. “You want…” he was again cut off.

“My name, Sasuke.”

“Naruto…” he was cut off again, but this time not by words. Naruto's lips were on his, desperate in their pressure, demanding. It was his turn to stand in shock, letting the blonde have his way with his mouth. Naruto pressed their bodies closer together and he could feel…something…giving off heat, more heat than the boy's body, and beginning to press into his body. It was mirrored by a heat coiling in his own body. Sasuke was aroused…and so was he.

Recovering from his shock, Sasuke pulled Naruto's body closer to his, rocking his hips slightly, earning a groan that echoed through his body for his efforts. A groan that was returned when Naruto mimicked his actions. With out breaking their kiss, the two began to grind against each other, feeling the growing heat brought by the friction.

Naruto wanted to taste more of the brunet he held, who held him. Hesitantly, his tongue slipped between his lips and began licking Sasuke's lips. He almost lost his nerve when Sasuke's lips parted for him. Sasuke's tongue coming out to taste his renewed his courage and he entered the now open orifice, tentatively tasting every surface as Sasuke's tongue encouraged his, massaged his. After a long time, Sasuke's tongue slid into his mouth, tasting him. The sensation was strangely ticklish, but he had no desire to laugh. On top of the strangeness was an eroticism that added to the fire burning low in his belly.

Gradually, Naruto began feeling dizzy, whether from the sensations overwhelming his body or from the lack of air, he couldn't begin to decipher, but he needed time to breathe, to sort through his body's impression, to think. He pulled back, breaking the kiss, but making no move to pull their bodies apart. He was dazed, panting, as he looked into Sasuke's face. What he saw made him want to claim the boy's mouth again. His lips were swollen, red, his cheek's flushed, his eyes glowing with desire. “Sasuke…” he breathed out, his voice awed, dripping with desire.

“C'mon,” the Uchiha heir answered, pulling his body away, claiming the blonde's hand in his own.

“Where?” Naruto asked, confused and feeling bereft of contact. After the heat of Sasuke's body pressed against him, he felt cold. But that feeling only lasted as long as it took for Sasuke to answer.

“My room.”
