“Naruto! Stop being an idiot!” Iruka shouted, looking down at the tied up Naruto.
Naruto was sitting in the front of the classroom, bound with rope by Iruka after being caught by him, for defiling the Hokage monument faces with graffiti.
“How annoying.” Den said looking at Zero, who was sleeping next to him. “He is sleeping again…” Den looked up to see Naruto arguing with Iruka, but he paid no attention to it. This is when Ryuu looked over at Den with a puzzled look.
“What’s the matter?” He asked leaning back. Den just pointed to Zero, as Ryuu followed his finger with his eyes, beginning to snicker. “Let’s mess with him.” Ryuu said giving Den a look of mischief.
“That’s not a good Idea.” Den replied scooting away.
“Aw, come on, he always messes with us.” Ryuu said still snickering.
“I’d rather not.” Den said turning his attention back to the front of the room.
“Eh, you’re no fun.” Ryuu said pulling out a black marker. He popped off the lid, while beginning to snicker even louder as he stretched it towards Zero’s face. Den shifted one of his bloodshot eyes in the direction of Ryuu, trying to look as if he didn’t care. “This will make Zero-kun look bad, maybe bad enough for all the girls to pay attention to us for once, right Den-san?” Ryuu asked, looking up at Den with a smile, but Den didn’t reply, instead his eyes widened. Ryuu looked at him puzzled before noticing pain shot threw his wrist. Ryuu looked down to see that Zero was staring up at him with his, emerald green eyes that were hidden behind his silver hair.
“What are you doing?” Zero asked tightening his grip onto Ryuu’s wrist.
“No-Nothing.” Ryuu said trying not to show the fact he was in pain. Den began to laugh a bit.
“I told you, not to do it.” He said still laughing at Ryuu’s failed attempt, he then turned his attention to something in front of him. Zero then sat up and smirked at Ryuu, letting go of his wrist.
“Come on, do you really think writing on my face would be harmful to me? What you should have done was this.” Zero then looked back at Den and quickly back to Ryuu with a smile. Ryuu began to snicker, as Zero took the marker from his hand and then cracked it in half with out making a noise. Zero then raised his hand above Den’s head. Den wasn’t paying attention at this time, as his attention had turned to Sakura, who was sitting in front of him today. Zero noticed this and his smile grew wider.
“Sakura-Chan!” Zero said in a whisper throwing the cracked marker at Sakura’s head and letting the ink fly out from it, he then quickly dropped the other part of the marker in front of Den and laid his head back down as if he had been asleep the entire time. Sakura began to turn around as the ink hit her in the face. Den’s eyes widened as he realized what Zero had done. Sakura jumped out of her seat screaming.
“Why did you do that Den?!” She yelled, pointing at Den.
“B-But I- I...” Before he could finish, Iruka interrupted them both.
“That’s it! Everyone get in line, we are going to review transformation.” He shouted getting fed up with Naruto, as well as Den and Sakura. At this point Ryuu couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Zero then looked up at Sakura and smiled.
“Did you put to much make up on this morning?” Zero asked with a soft voice, this caused Sakura to blush and turn around.
“N-No.” She said. “It was Den-san. He hit me with Ink.” She added still not turning back. Zero then looked at Den who was now paralyzed with embarrassment.
“Well that’s not very nice, now is it?” Zero asked, looking at Den. Everyone began standing up and walking down the steps to line up.
“But I didn’t do anything...” Den said as Zero walked past with Ryuu still laughing. Den then hung his head, as he stood up and followed after Ryuu.
“Uchiha Sasuke.” Iruka said marking something off on a piece of paper. Zero began to create a fist and closed it tightly.
“I hate… him.” Zero said under his breath so that no one could hear him.
“Do your best Sasuke-kun!” A girl’s voice yelled out. Zero just rolled his eyes.
“Get this over with, Sasuke-san. I don’t want to wait inline all day.” Zero said looking at him angrily. Sasuke then performed the seals to transform becoming Iruka.
“Very good, Sasuke-kun.” Iruka said as Sasuke turned back and walked away. “Zenhi Zero.” Iruka said signaling him to come forward. Zero stepped up and then cracked his neck.
“You can do it Zero-kun!” Ino’s voice could be heard from behind him.
“How annoying.” Zero said under his breath turning to Ino with a smile then back to Iruka. “Do I have to become you?” Zero asked sarcastically.
“Yes.” Iruka said in a serious tone. “And don’t fool around this time.” Zero just smiled and replied.
“Ok, Ok, I’ll be nice I won’t give you three heads this time, just two.” Zero said sarcastically, then performed the seals and transformed into a perfect version of Iruka. “See it’s too easy.” Zero said turning back into himself and walking off.
“Good job, Zero-kun.” Iruka said with a smile. Though Zero was an obvious trouble maker, he never let anyone down in expectations and was serious when he knew he had to be. Iruka then marked off his name.
“Uzumaki Naruto.” Iruka said. Naruto then took a step forward and also performed the seals. Zero leaned against a wall next to Hinata as they both watched Naruto’s ‘Sexy Jutsu’. Iruka fell back with blood coming out of his nose.
“I call that my ‘sexy jutsu’!” Naruto said proudly, as Iruka jumped up and hit Naruto in the head.
“Don’t use such a stupid technique!” He shouted hitting Naruto again. Zero laughed slightly.
“Naruto-kun, always so entertaining.” He said placing a hand on Hinata’s head. “Aw, how convenient a cute hand rest.” He said sarcastically, causing Hinata to blush and tap her fingers together. Zero looked down and noticed her actions and grabbed her hand. “Hinata-chan…” He started to say as her face grew a darker shade of red. “I told you, that’s a bad habit.” Zero said letting go of her hand laughing. Hinata just continued to blush and look away from him.
“S-sorry.” She said in almost a whisper. Zero continued to laugh as he watched Den walk up and perform the transformation.
Ino was still waiting in line next to Sakura. “No wonder ink hit you; you have such a giant forehead.” She said laughing, as Sakura looked back, with a look of rage.
“Shut up Ino-Pig.” She said turning back to the front of the class room. Ino just continued to laugh until she looked over to see Zero talking to Hinata.
“Grrr.” She growled. “Why does he spend so much time with her… she’s so weird.” Sakura looked over to see the same thing.
“Maybe he likes her.” Sakura said sounding a bit sad.
“Why would he like her, when he could have me?” Ino asked seriously. Sakura just chuckled a bit before walking up in front of Iruka.
Den walked and stood next to Zero, still hanging his head.
“What’s the matter Den-san? Upset you hit Sakura-chan with Ink?” He asked taunting him. Den just looked at him and hid his face behind his black hair, along with hiding it inside of his trench coat he so often wore. Zero just laughed and slid his hand off Hinata’s head, who seemed to having a hard time breathing.
“You went a bit far…” Den said in a low voice. “You didn’t have to make me look so bad, in front of, her.” Zero looked over at Den, then back towards Ryuu who was now up.
“What’s the matter Den-kun? Who cares what she thinks about you, you don’t even have the courage to carry on a normal conversation with her.” Den began to grow angered by Zero’s comment.
“Well it’s not easy for me, like it is for you! You just walk by and every girl follows you, just like Sasuke-san.” Den said angrily.
“Sasuke...” Zero said slowly, while pushing his hair in front of his eyes. Hinata looked up at him, with a very red face then back to the floor.
“Alright Ryuu-kun, get it right this time.” Iruka said looking at Ryuu. Ryuu just rolled his eyes and began to concentrate.
“Damn it, Iruka-Sensei, why did it have to be transformation I’m not good at this.” He complained.
“Ryuu-kun, you’re part of the Hebi clan, experts on Genjutsu! How can you not do this?!” Iruka yelled growing impatient. Ryuu just let out a groan and transformed into Iruka.
“See Ryuu-kun you did it.” Iruka said with some joy in his voice.
“Yea what ever…” Ryuu said walking towards Zero and Den.
“Sasuke-kun!” Ino yelled standing next to him. Sasuke just stood there staring off looking as if he was in deep thought. Zero looked over at the two of them and began muttering things.
“He’s so annoying; look at him just ignoring her…” He continued to mutter things. Den started pulling on Zero’s black cape that was wrapped around Zero‘s body as he normally preferred it. This got Zero’s attention as he quickly turned around to see Den looking in front of him with a look of fear. Ryuu had taken his place next to Den and was looking at the ceiling not noticing Den’s odd behavior. “What?” Zero asked, he then turned in the direction Den had been staring to see Sakura walking towards them, with ink still on her face. Zero began to laugh at her, as her face grew red.
“Zero-kun...” She started to say, Zero quickly lifted his arms up and quickly unwrapped part of the gaws that were around his wrist. He then tore it off and handed it to Sakura.
“There you go Sakura-chan, use that to clean off Den-san’s stupid childish prank.” Zero said winking at her. Sakura just smiled and walked away wiping her face off with the cloth Zero had handed her. Hinata, who had been watching began to feel a bit sad and began scooting away from Zero.
“What the hell!?” Den shouted in a whisper. “I can’t believe you... You just... You know how I… you fricken bastard!” Zero began to laugh slightly at Den’s anger.
“Well if you don’t go after her, someone else will. I was only trying to point that out; you know I have little interest in Sakura.” Zero then paused for a moment. “Or do I? “ He asked laughing a bit harder, he then eyed Hinata and started scooting closer to her. “Where are you going?” He asked in a whisper causing her to jump, for she did not notice Zero had moved closer.
“No-nowhere.” She said looking at him with wide eyes. Zero then smiled at her and put his hand back on of her head.
“Good I need my hand rest again.” He said laughing at her, he then ruffled up her hair a bit and slid his hand off her head and leaned back up against the wall.
“Ok, everyone. That’s enough for today, class is dismissed. Don’t forget about the exam tomorrow.” Iruka said pointing towards the door. Everyone began walking out of the class room. Ryuu then looked around to see people were leaving.
“Huh? Where’s everyone going?” He asked, watching people walk past him to the door.
“Idiot.” A voice called out from behind him, he turned around to see Kiba looking at him. “He said we could go.” Kiba continued then walked past him out the door.
“Oh.” Ryuu said looking around for Zero and Den. “What the hell, were they just going to leave me here?” Ryuu asked himself out loud before following Kiba out of the door in to the hall way.
"Being last out sucks…" Ryuu said under his breath, following a large, noisy crowd of other students toward the exit, before turning toward Kiba.
"So what are you gonna do?" he asked, as Kiba looked over from the corner of his eye, and pointed toward his ear.
"Did you say something?" Kiba asked loudly, attempting to match the level of noise generated by the crowd. To this, Ryuu asked again, a bit louder.
"What are you going to do today!?" Kiba turned his head to face Ryuu, with a puzzled look on his face.
"I still can't hear you, talk louder!" Kiba said with even more volume, as he and Ryuu trudged along behind the large exit-bound group. Ryuu placed his hands around his mouth and breathed in deeply, before asking again.
"WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO, TODAY!?" Ryuu asked, so loudly that his voice rung over the voices of the crowd, catching a few off guard, including Kiba, who jumped back a bit, nearly crashing into a nearby wall.
"You don't have to be so loud! I'm not deaf!" Kiba replied a bit angrily, before taking his place in the back of the crowd by Ryuu, again.
"Loud!? You couldn't hear me before-" Ryuu started before inadvertently walking into a student in front of him and falling backwards, knocking a bag of chips from the student's hands to the ground.
"Hey! Watch what you’re doing!" Ryuu blurted out angrily, before taking notice of who he had walked into.
"Chouji-kun! So, there you are!" he added, while slowly rising to his feet, Kiba leaned against the wall laughing, and Chouji quickly scoured the ground, trying to gather all of the chips that lay scattered along it.
"That was my last bag… and you made me drop it!" Chouji barked out, in an obvious fit of anger, while keeping his attention on gathering the remaining chips. At this, Kiba turned his attention toward the receding crowd, noticing another familiar figure emerge.
"What happened?" Shikamaru asked, walking toward Chouji, who finally stood up, grasping the bag of chips tightly.
"Ryuu-kun rammed into him… the oaf." Kiba said with a laugh, pushing himself off the wall, and joining in the group.
"It's not my fault! He was the one being slow!" Ryuu protested, as the group slowly turned toward the exit, which was no longer blocked by the crowd.
"Hey! Zero-kun!"
"Look over here!"
"Oh Zero-san… you're so great…"called girl's voices from behind Zero, foiling his attempt to get away from the school without being caught in fanfare. Hearing them, Den turned to Zero.
"You've never gotten away from them any other day… why do you even try…" Den said in a forlorn tone, as Zero slowly turned his head back toward the group of apparent fans, forcing himself to smile an exaggeratedly wide smile.
"What is that I smell…?” Zero said in a low tone, so only Den could hear, while keeping his wide smile.
"Oh, it must be jealousy." He finished, waving toward the group, as Den lowered his head, feeling ashamed. Without further waiting, Zero started down the road again, leaving the group of admirers behind, as Den slowly tagged along. After a moment, Den raised his head to speak, but just as he did, one of the girls from before rushed passed, knocking Den to the side of the road, and taking her place next to Zero.
"Hey, Zero-kun… what are you doing?" She asked, flipping her hair from side to side, before staring at Zero.
"Nothing out of the ordinary, Ino-chan…" Zero answered in nonchalant manner, looking toward the sky. Not ready to back away yet, she continued.
"Your transformation in class was perfect… just like you, Zero-kun!" Hearing this, Zero nodded slightly, turning his head toward her and smiling a bit.
"Thank you… but isn't that… Sasuke… over there? I think he's calling to you, too." He then pointed back toward Sasuke, as Ino followed his arm in the direction, to see Sasuke walking along, Sakura tagging at his side. Seeing this, Ino's eyes flared with rage.
"That… Sakura… Going after Sasuke-kun like that, right under my nose!" Ino then paused, a moment, before hurriedly turning toward Zero.
"I can't let her get away with that!" At saying this, Den approached from behind Ino and Zero, wiping at his coat, before looking up to see Ino.
"Hey, Ino-san…" He started, before she turned around, running past him, and knocking him to the side again, making no effort to reply.
"Damn it! Even when I act nice, nobody notices… hmph…" Den pouted, under his breath, standing again, before noticing Zero laughing slightly at his misfortune.
Ryuu led Kiba and Shikamaru into a small restaurant, as Chouji followed from behind, munching on his bag of chips. The four took a seat next to window, before Shikamaru spoke up.
"We may have come in and taken seats… but it doesn't mean anything, if nobody is going to buy." Immediately after hearing this, Kiba began to shake his head.
"It isn't my turn, I bought last time!" Following Kiba's lead, Shikamaru remarked also.
"I don't have any money." Hearing this, Ryuu looked toward Chouji, who was still munching.
"You ruined my chips… You pay… Ryuu-kun." Chouji said, as everyone turned to Ryuu, who looked down toward the wallet in his lap.
"Fine! But don't expect any special treatment for a long time…" Having decided on the buyer, Ryuu summoned the waitress, as the group placed their orders.
"Beef jerky and gristle!"
"Mackerel."
"Barbecue! No, Two servings of Barbecue!" Ryuu's jaw dropped, thinking about the phenomenal price this feast was going to cost. Before he could speak though, the group burst into laughter at his expression.
"What Ryuu? You do this to us when we pay. It's only fair, right?" Kiba asked sarcastically, as everyone except Ryuu began to laugh, leaving him to pout quietly. After a moment their humor died down, and the waitress returned, placing the food on the table, and returning to the counter.
"Itadakimasu!" the group chanted in unison, before digging into their plates, as if they had been starved.
"This food… it's so… good!" Kiba said, almost in tears of joy, before noticing a strange shadow on the table, emitted from the window. At this, Shikamaru also noticed, though Ryuu and Chouji paid no heed to the odd shadow. Slowly following the shadow to its origin, Kiba nearly jumped in surprise, to see Naruto's, wide-eyed, face pressed against the window, drooling.
Naruto was sitting in the front of the classroom, bound with rope by Iruka after being caught by him, for defiling the Hokage monument faces with graffiti.
