Chapter 2: First Date
 
Bobby's Apartment
As Bobby, at his small apartment, was dressing, he noticed he was wearing his typical clothes, again.
“I should get new clothes tomorrow…” Thought Bobby
After Bobby was dressed, Bobby looked at his clock.
“7 o' clock, better head to the Ichiraku Ramen stand.”
 
Sakura's House
 
Sakura, rushing wildly, ran around trying to find some more-than casual clothes. After about ten minutes she found what she wanted.
“Must show off to my Bobby-kun” Sakura stated dreamily.
Sakura was dressed in a red kimono looking absolutely gorgeous, at least by most guys' standards.
“Oh, I hope he likes me!” she nearly shouted aloud.
“What was that?” Sakura's mom said from outside her room.
“Oh, it's nothing!”
`That was close.' She thought.
`Such a rush! I love it!!' Inner Sakura shouted.
“Oh well, time to go!” Said Sakura as she rushed out the door of her home.
 
Ichiraku Ramen Stand
 
“Not the fanciest of places, but not bad at all.” Bobby thought as he sat down first.
“Miso Ramen, please.” He said.
“Sure.” Said the owner.
Just then, Sakura walked in, seeing how early Bobby was, kind of creped her out.
`He's so early! Was my clock wrong? I hope not!' She thought.
“Ahh Welcome Sakura.” Said Bobby turning towards Sakura.
“Am I late? I could've sworn I came early.” She said.
“No, I always come conspicuously early.”
`Phew…that was close.' She thought.
 
The two began eating after Sakura ordered some chicken ramen.
 
“So,” Said Bobby trying to spark a conversation.
“Hey can I ask you a question?” Said Sakura.
“Other than the fact you just did, sure.” He said.
“Sorry…” a blushing Sakura said. “Anyways, why do you dress so dark?”
“...When you see as much death as I did, you cant help but resent happiness, it's an illusion as I said earlier today, that's why I hate it..”
“But there had to be someone you liked…or…like now?”
“Perhaps, but I keep my feelings hidden”
Just then the ramen was handed out. As Bobby slurped down his, Sakura slowly ate hers.
“My, were you hungry Bobby-kun?” Sakura said.
`Bobby…kun?' Bobby thought.
“Just…a little…” He said in between slurps.
“You like Ramen as much as Naruto.” Sakura said noticing a slight wince from Bobby.
“I'm NOTHING like that…kid…he's annoying from what I've seen of him in this one day.”
“True he does act childish, but we all got used to him, from what I hear he's pretty strong.”
“He…also didn't have any family.”
“No family?” Bobby asked curiously. “He's more like me than I thought.”
“He's strong too you say?” Asked a now very curious Bobby.
“Very, he can probably defeat Sasuke if he didn't get so distracted.”
`I can't believe I just said that!'
“Hmm, distracted you say?”
“Yea. He continually stares at me, I've also heard that a girl named Hinata, from Team 11 (pretty sure 11, I only seen American episodes and it's only mentioned once) has the hots for him.”
“That was pretty off topic”
“Yea...” Blushed Sakura.
“…”
“Something wrong Bobby-kun?”
“Why are you calling me Bobby-KUN?”
Just now realizing what she did, Sakura blushed almost madly, `should I tell him? What if he rejects me?' `Kiss him and figure out yourself! He'll survive if he doesn't have the same feelings!'
`But...-`
“Sakura?”
“Err…”
Looking away Bobby said something he never thought he'd every say.
“You like me don't you? I want you to know, I think I like you as well, I barely know you, so I can't LOVE you or anything, but.”
“I understand,” said Sakura blushing madly.
Sakura leaned in towards Bobby blushing madly. Bobby didn't know what to do. `Just…sit…here and wait until it ends'
When their lips met Bobby felt a powerful urge to return it, so, he did.
`I'm actually kissing him!' thought Sakura.
When the kiss ended Bobby was dazed, so Sakura started.
“I'm… sorry I shouldn't have done that, you barely even know me...”
“Don't, I…kinda enjoyed it.”
`I sound like an idiot… Why can't I just follow my teachings and stay dark…'
“So…about Naruto and this Hinata.”
“What about them? Hinata has had a crush on Naruto forever now, but Naruto's so stupid that he can't even tell.”
“You insult Naruto, yet he has done nothing to you.”
“Well…he's embarrassing always asking to go somewhere with me. He never leaves me alone!”
“Perhaps this is because he enjoys your company and wants to get to know you better?”
“True. But-“
“No `buts', I would also like to get to know you better, perhaps after our mission tomorrow we can do this again?” asked Bobby.
“Sure!” Sakura almost yelled. “I mean, ok, sounds nice.”
Laughing Bobby paid the owner for their ramen, and the two walked out of the ramen stand.
“Alright, see you later!” Sakura called out watching Bobby walk opposite directions of her.
All Bobby did was wave until they were out of each others sight.
