Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Night With the Boys ❯ Jira's Dead ( Chapter 9 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]

Hello, readers. It is me, and I am sorry for the wait. Remember to R&R. Anyway, here is another chapter…

Naruto was surrounded by the smoke around him as it puffed back into a Hinata shadow clone.

“No matter how you fight me,” she said, “You'll never win.”

She kept making more of herself as Naruto tried fighting his way out.

Meanwhile…

“Sorry, Kiba,” Hinata said, “But I sense that something's wrong.”

Why do I sense blood, Kiba wondered, but then lost her.

Jira was holding his breath through the smoke as he saw Keanu. His life was going away short. He had to give up his life for Hinata.

“Poor Jira,” she said, “You gave your life to Hinata, and you know you are slowly dying. There's no use trying to run now. Let me just end your life quicker.”

“No,” he said, “I know I'll soon be dying, but I want Hinata know that I will always love her.”

“I could just throw up,” she mumbled.

“Besides it's fate,” he said, panting.

“What's the point,” she asked, “Naruto and Hinata love each other, but you're just trying to ruin their relationship. Face it! Nobody loves you. That's why Kurenai doesn't come for you.”

“You're right about one thing,” he said, “I should face it.”

He came closer to her as he gripped onto her.

“What are you doing,” she asked.

He had her sword as he pointed it to her, letting her go.

“Time to die,” he said.

“You don't even have the energy to attack me,” she hissed.

“You'll see,” he said.

She closed her eyes, and heard flesh being torn through. But it wasn't her flesh. It was going through Jira's flesh. Jira was killing himself. She looked shocked as she saw sword going deeper in his flesh.

Soon Hinata came to the room Jira was in, but as the same time Keanu disappeared.

“Jira-kun,” she said, “No!”

“Hinata,” he struggled to say.

“Why Jira,” she asked, “Why did you give away your life to me?”

“Because I love you so much,” he answered, as blood streamed out of his mouth, “I didn't want you to die anyway.”

She immediately took out his sword as he coughed out blood.

“Jira-kun,” she said, as she started to cry.

“Don't cry,” he said, “I don't want to see you cry like that.”

“I'm sorry,” she said.

He raised himself to give himself a long hug until he let go. She gripped onto him as she put her hand on his chest to feel any beats.

“At least Naruto will be there to protect you,” he said, “And maybe Kurenai might be able to know who I was.”

“But Kurenai has always known you,” she said, “And I never knew that… Jira?”

His eyes were closed as his breathing slowed down.

“Jira-kun,” she said, trying to check for a pulse.

There were two beats, then one, and then none. Tears flowed out of her eyes as she realized that she has lost her best friend.

“No,” she cried.

Kiba heard her scream as he followed it.

“Hinata,” he said, “There you are.”

He saw Jira's body in Hinata's arms as she was crying.

“What happened,” he asked.

“He's gone,” she replied.

She got up as she buried her head into Kiba's chest.

“Why did he have to go,” she asked, “Why?”

Kiba always hated it when Hinata cried, but this time he felt her pain. Even though he was envious of him, he did like that he made Hinata's childhood meaningful.

“Hinata,” he said, “I am still your friend.”

“I know,” she said, “It's just that I have been too nice, and now Jira's gone.”

“I'll carry Jira and we'll find Naruto,' he said, “We have to finish the mission.”

Later on, Naruto was still trying to get through the shadow clones as he spotted Kiba and Hinata.

“Guys help,” he said.

Kiba dropped Jira as he and Hinata got ready to fight.

Soon enough they were all tired as Naruto saw Jira's body.

“W-What happened,” he asked, trembling.

“He's dead,” Kiba said.

“He did the life-transferring technique, didn't he,” Naruto said, “I never knew until now.”

He saw Hinata gripping onto Kiba as he came to her.

“We should go,” he said, “Tsunade needs us by sunrise.”

“Can't you see Hinata is crying because she lost her best friend,” Kiba said.

“Hinata,” Naruto said, “Let's go. We'll prepare his funeral.”

“I just blame myself,” she said, “He knew that my father always thought of my sister higher than me. He didn't have to give me his life.”

“But still,” Kiba said, “You have friends and that matters.”

“Besides even though you might think you're alone, you're not,” he said.

Hinata wiped her tears as she got up. Naruto hugged her tight as Kiba joined. Group hug!

“So,” Keanu said, “Am I interrupting?”

“You're just in time to get killed,” Kiba said.

“Without your dog,” she asked, holding Akamaru.

“Let him go,” he growled.

“Give me the girl,” she said.

I know that you might not like this, but for those who were actually liking Jira, sorry. But the story's coming to an end. So please review.
