Path of a Shinobi

Chapter 1: Betrayal

 

Kakashi smiled beneath his mask. He felt at peace with Team 7 and his daughter following him on a mission. Not that he wasn't on guard. Kakasha, his daughter, had been on edge since early morning, when she had walked into the kitchen from her morning workout. Of course, Kakashi had left her a note about eating what she wanted and meeting the team at the gates in one hour.

 

Kakasha, unbeknownst to Team 7, was about to commit a crime. One of the worst crimes in the Shinobi nations. She only had to wait for a signal. The memory of the morning lightened her mood a little, but not much.

 

Kakashi walked up behind the four that were gathered at the gates. “Hey guys,” He greeted. Naruto and Sakura turned on him, shouting, “YOU'RE LATE!”

“I'm sorry,” Kakashi replied, “There was an old lady who was buying groceries. She asked for my help to carry them to her house.”

“LIAR!!!” The two shouted. Kakasha, amused but still on edge, asked, “Did you help her put them away too?”

“Naturally. Well, let's get going.”

 

Kakasha hoped that the false smile she wore would go unnoticed. The signal was what would drive her to do it; a high-pitched note that only she could hear. It would drive her into an insane blood lust. Then it happened. It was all a flash to everyone.

 

A small group of ninja, 3 at the most but Kakasha couldn't count them, leaped in from the trees, kunai and wires binding the 5 leaf ninja together. Kakasha and Kakashi both looked around as Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke struggled. Kakasha, noting that they were sound ninja, heard a high-pitched note and it made her vision blur until she only saw red. The wires broke and Kakasha tried to escape from the noise, finding that her only safe area was with Team 7.

 

Kakashi tried to restrain Kakasha, who was now reaching for her weapons. Due to the Sound Ninja leaving, it left only one target…Team 7. Kakasha stabbed Kakashi through the stomach with a kunai and then attacked the 3 genin. Before Kakashi blacked out, he was able to watch Kakasha hurt Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura in the same way as she did him before jumping away through the trees.

 

“Kakasha…” Was all Kakashi managed to get out before his head hit the ground.
