“Whe-where am I?” Haoku asked walking through an endless path of white

 

“Haoku … Haoku Hamagichi …” A young woman's voice rang in her ear

 

“Yu-Yuri?” Haoku cried surprised as she turned to see her twenty one year old sister.

 

“What are you doing here … you're not supposed to be here … at least not yet …” Yuri said sadly

 

“I … I'm sorry … I … I don't know what happened …”

 

“It's fine … it's not your fault Haoku … but it will be your fault if you don't get back in time …”

 

“In time for what?” Haoku asked looking at her sister

 

“If you die …is completely up to you …” Yuri said looking down at her sister.

 

“If I … die …” Haoku asked turning a deathly pale.

 

Yuri sighs and begins to explain things.

 

 

 

 

“Itachi … what happened to you back there?” Kisame asked in the hospital room

 

Itachi didn't look at him but he didn't take the opportunity to look away either. “I don't know … I just froze up …”

 

“A jutsu?” Kisame asked

 

“No …”

 

After a moment Kisame shivered. “That beeping is going to drive me crazy!”

 

“That beeping, Kisame might just save her life …” Itachi replied irritably

 

Zetsubou shifted uncomfortably from the floor trying not to listen to their conversation.

 

“Do you think … she's too far from saving Itachi?” Kisame asked looking down at the floor.

 

Again Itachi seemed to freeze “She might be …”

 

 

 

 

“See my sister …” Yuri said showing her little sister what was going on in the real world

 

“I … I'm … dead …” Haoku asked not believing what she was seeing.

 

“No … you're dying …”

 

“So that's what you meant by it'll be my fault if I don't get back in time?”

 

“Yes …”

 

“What happens if … I can't make it back in time?”

 

“It's not a question of if Haoku … it matters if you have the will to live … if you have a purpose to live then … and only then will you be able to make it back to the world among the living …” Yuri said her voice full of wisdom

 

“Then … how?” Haoku questioned

 

Yuri laughed “You're full of questions aren't you Haoku … nothing has changed about you ……… if you're meant to go on then … how to do so is revealed to you …”

 

 

 

 

“Come on … it's over …” Itachi said standing up and walking towards the door as the machine that kept in touch with Haoku's heart rate and blood pressure suddenly dropped and started to make a loud high pitched beeping sound.

 

Kisame nods and mumbles to himself “Poor girl …” before walking out of the hospital room with Itachi.

The great wolf Zetsubou also stood up and walked over to the door looking at Haoku one last time. “Koichi's going to kill me …” He walked out of the room.

 

 

 

 

“They … they've given up on me …” Haoku mumbles tears starting to drip down her face “I'll show them …”

 

Yuri grins then shouts. “Now Haoku … go!” She then shoved her little sister through a small portal of swirling colors that lead back to the real world.

 

 

 

 

Haoku groaned “Weird dream …” She looked around noticing she was in the hospital room where she had just watched Itachi, Kisame, and Zetsubou leave. She continued to look around then noticed the multiple IVs sticking in her arms. “AGGGHHHHHH GET THEM OFF!!!” Haoku yelled ripping them out then screaming from the sheer agonizing pain.

 

“What the-“ Itachi said as he turned around and started running back to her room with Zetsubou and Kisame following close behind.

 

Haoku ran around the room in little circles destroying everything in her path as she held her bleeding arms. =(

 

Just then the three showed up at her door way looking at the mass destruction.

 

“She works fast; I'll give her that.” Kisame said chuckling a little.

 

“Haoku … can you go ANYWHERE without destroying something?” Zetsubou asked.

 

Haoku paused to think. “There was that time at the Ramen bar … no … I broke a bowl … oh yeah, that time at the academy … nope I broke some kid's leg … hmmmmm … hey there was that time when I first came here!”

 

“I thought you said you broke you butt?” Zetsubou asked confused

 

“No … technically Itachi dropped me so it was his entire fault.” Haoku said in a matter of fact kind of tone.

 

“What's the point of this conversation?” Kisame asked interrupting

 

“Um … I don't remember … oh yeah … wolf dude over there asked if I could go anywhere without destroying something.” Haoku said smiling

 

“Oh … Haoku there's something I wanted to give you …” Itachi said secretly grinning under his cloak.

 

“What?” Haoku asked forgetting about her arms and looking up at him.

 

What's Itachi doing?
