Before Haoku knew it she found her self on the branches of the tall dark trees defending the unconscious members of her new team against Orochimaru.

 

“Give up!” Orochimaru said in his hiss like voice.

 

“Never! I won't give up they accepted me! They were kind enough to help me! I won't let you hurt them!” Haoku yelled backing him up against a tree kunai in hand.

 

“Well this was fun but I've done what I needed to …” He said nodding in acknowledgement to the curse mark on Sasuke's neck, then disappearing.

 

“No … …” Haoku muttered punching the tree and leaving thick sap dripping down to the leafy floor below as she walked over to Sasuke. “Sasuke-sensei?”

 

“It … it hurts …” Sasuke mumbled clutching his shoulder.

 

She carefully crabbed his hand. “It'll be ok sensei … I promise … I'll be here to help …” She said sounding sure but not truly sure of what to do except for to hold his hand and comfort.

 

“Haoku … help … help me!” Sasuke muttered as if in extreme pain the curse slowly spreading over his body.

 

“I … I don't know what to do … just … just calm down Sasuke-sensei.”

 

He grabbed her hand as if he had the intent to break it the curse mark beginning to reside.

 

“It's ok Sasuke … I'm here … don't worry …” Haoku whispered

 

After an hour of sitting there Sasuke sat up the curse mark completely gone except for the bite at his neck Haoku's hand was red but she was too worried to care.

 

“Thanks Haoku … I owe you …”

 

“I-it's nothing … as long as you're ok …”

 

Sasuke passed out, his eyes rolling back in his head, collapsing against her shoulder.

 

“Sasuke sensei …” She laid him down gently then laid down herself to rest her eyes slowly closing and drifting off to a deep sleep.

 

 

 

 

“I said watch him not sleep with him! Haaoookuuuu!!!” Itachi yelled as he dispersed the jutsu that allowed him to watch over her.

 

 

 

 

Sasuke woke up at dawns light his eyes sore and his body stiff. Haoku's head resting on his shoulder. ~She's cute when she sleeps …~ He leaned over and kissed her lightly on the cheek.

 

Haoku woke up to the soft lips touching her skin, her eyes fluttered open she felt just as stiff as Sasuke. “Sasuke-sensei?”

 

“Ha-Haoku!?!” He jumped back surprised that she had woken up. ~What kind of sensei am I … hitting on one of my students!?!~

 

She sat up then leaned forward and returned the light kiss only to his soft delicate lips. “I-it's fine sensei.”

 

He held her close as they watched the sun rise together.

 

 

 

 

“That girl's dead when I see her again …” Itachi muttered to him self.
