Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ Red Wind Lullaby ❯ Wind.... ( Chapter 1 )
[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
I don’t own Naruto or its characters…The song quoted here is The first ending song to the series.
It was late… Yes, she was definitely going to get it now. Not only had she completely skipped her bridal classes to just relax in the nearby springs, but she had also fallen asleep and judging by the moon’s position she had been asleep for quite sometime.
“I almost dread going back…” She trudged slowly. She was already late a few more moments wouldn’t do too much more damage. “Mom is so going to kill me when she finds out that I’m gonna fail graduating this year as well. Twice in a row… how pitiful…” She winced just being able to imagine the tone her mother would pull.
“A Kitten all alone at night and so far away from home… that only means trouble…” A voice whispered making her stop and glance around. What was she looking for? Movement? An actual person? Well none of the above was happening. All she saw were the trees around her and the beaten path to her village in the moonlight.
“Pull yourself together Kanna…” She whispered softly and took one step only to find her foot sinking into the ground. “What the hell?!?” She screamed before her body had sunk further into the ground almost swallowing her up whole. She had begun flailing her arms about trying to fight off the feeling of something pulling her down…like hands grabbing her waist while others mindlessly groped at her breasts, lifting up her kimono pressing flat against her sacred region.
“NO!” She reached her hand out swinging at whatever she thought she could hit in that instance. Was that… She opened her eyes hoping to see what it was that she had made contact with… all she saw were eyes… Crimson eyes and they looked none too happy, which was only emphasized by a feeling of being strangled followed by a numbing feeling in the back of her head as clothes were being ripped apart. “No, please…” Tears stung her eyes as she felt an intrusion below pushing right on in without lubrication of any form… Yes she was definitely bleeding and being rubbed raw. “Please… stop…” She whispered, to whom she did not know, and she knew less of why was it happening to her.
Cultivate your hunger before you idealize…
‘Why am I thinking of that stupid song now…’ She thought literally feeling her life force get absorbed out of her body. All struggles ceasing…
Motivate your anger to make them all realize…
‘That really is a stupid song…’ She let her head loll towards the side. The melting scenery had already given way to reality but she didn’t have it in her to look at her invader. ‘I hate the dance we have to learn for it too…’
Climbing the mountain, never coming down…
‘Turn bend the knees, one hand extended the other resting at your side. Open palms.’ In her head she found herself running through the ministrations of the movements. Her body long numb…
Break into the contents, never falling down.
‘Life really sucks…All I want to do is have a life of adventure instead of wasting it on floral arrangements, the proper movements of a lady. How to pour tea, to make food… all we do is prep ourselves to find a man to marry on the day when the division parts of town meet.’ She moved her hand brushing whoever the male had been. ‘Our village is nothing more than a disgrace. Fragile women and overly strong men. Women with no decisions for themselves. To whatever god is listening…let this man kill me PLEASE.’ She looked up to the sky as tears trickled down her cheeks and into the earth beneath her head.
Don’t cry cuz you’re so right, don’t Dry with fakes or fears cuz you will hate yourself in the end….
“You say, dreams are dreams…” Her voice came out weak, dry, most like a hoarse whisper. “I ain’t gonna play the fool anymore. You say…Cause I still got my soul.” She felt him slow as he listened to the words leaving her mouth, at that very moment a harsh wind blew in dragging her tears from her face, but still the man continued.
‘Take your time baby your blood needs slowing down…’ The wind whispered in her ear. ‘Breach your soul to reach yourself before you gloom. Reflection of fear makes shadows of nothing….shadows of nothing’
“You brought it on yourself…” His voice was harsh but clashed with what he was saying could he possibly be feeling remorse at this point? She felt him slide right on out of her. “If you’d just taken it you would’ve liked it better than you did.” He simply stood giving her a chance to look into his face, but all she could focus on were his eyes. Angry crimson eyes… Eerie cherry orbs that glowed like red full moons. “No matter… you will like it best next time.”
“Next time…?” He rose and smoothed out his own attire which merely followed the scheme of red and black.
“Next time…” His hands came up and were positioned in an odd way. “Sleep.” Once more reality faded to white and she felt…sleepy.
“Found an easy target this time, Itachi?” The shadow of a man stood but a few feet away. But his partner merely walked on as if nothing had occurred that evening. So there she was left alone in the forest, asleep with nothing moving except for the wind…*~*~ There he was standing on the top of a tree looking out at the waxing moon. What else could he do? He came to this place by choice. He ran away from his home village, left behind his best friend, left behind the popularity given to him by all. The boys because of their envy to be as good as him, the adults because he endured the life he had, and the girls because of his good looks. Dimly he wondered would they think the same if they had caught a glimpse of the form he used too many months ago to defeat his best friend.
Why had he left the boy alive? Because part of him had hoped Naruto to be strong enough to actually stop him. That doesn’t matter anymore though, his friend had failed when he needed him most, proving that the revival of his clan was to not happen. Itachi would die by his hands and he would die by the hands of Orochimaru. Too bad… but who cares anymore. What’s done is done… and no one could reverse it…All that was left for him was to enjoy the earth as is…to enjoy his final days with the wind raking through his dark locks… just like tonight…
“You say, dreams are dreams… I ain’t gonna play the fool anymore. You say…Cause I still got my soul.” His head snapped to attention as he sought out the source of that noise… but no one was there. ‘Take your time baby your blood needs slowing down… Breach your soul to reach yourself before you gloom. Reflection of fear makes shadows of nothing….shadows of nothing’
“Sasuke-kun…” His voice nearly startled him. He turned slightly catching the moon bounce off of silver strands.
“I’m coming…”
