Returningkougasmate- so unhappy....with chapter.....grrr....well, anyways, this chapter is dedicated to Hybrid_FireLightning Creature for reviewing! well, read this chapter people!Under the StarsSilence loomed over the two women, enclosing them in an uncomfortable fog, until some one spoke and broke the silence.Sakura looked away, "O-oh...y-you're his mother..."Aza looked towards Sakura, having been momentarily distracted by a shooting star, a piece of falling heaven."Wh-what did you just s-say...? 'His mother', as in, you kn-know my boy?"Sakura, not quite sure how to deal with the problem ahead of her looked down, "Aza...I-I...N-naruto is my friend, and his wh-whole life, it's been hard...because he was an orphan, and had the kyuubi i-in him." Looking at Aza with tears in her eyes, the eyes that had matured so much, Sakura whispered, "I don't know if I can tell you any more about him... I'm sorry." Standing quietly, in a manner befitting of a ninja, Sakura took a few steps toward the bushes that concealed a sleeping Naruto, listening as Aza pleaded. "Please, let me see my boy... j-just tell me one thing, at least?" Not turning to dress the question, Sakura's shoulders slumped, "What do you want to know?"Aza lifted a frazzled end of her skirt, which was deep red, and began to twist it in her fingers, "My boy...i-is he...happy?"Sakura went rigid, then relaxed, "Truthfully, I don't know...He smiles, on the outside, but I think there's so much more going on..."Aza looked towards the sky, a tear falling down hear cheek to land among the ones already shed, mixing with the rich soil of the earth. "I understand..."Sakura, deciding that leading the woman whom she had found to be Naruto's mother straight to him would be a bad idea, veered off her original course, slipping into the trees silently, waving goodbye to Aza timidly.As Sakura disappeared, Aza stood, stretching her upper body as high as she could, reaching one smooth hand towards the crescent of a moon, smiling mournfully as the cold air lifted a strand of her peppered hair.Opening her mouth, she began to sing, no words were involved, but the beauty was real. Waves of changing meoldies crashed down and changed, shifting into different tones and lifting high, then, just as suddenly, slipping down, a low hum in the night. Her eyes closed and she began to sway rythmically, her feet weaving around each other with grace, making dull 'thump thump' noises as she danced away, the heavens above being her only audience. And it was just a few hours later that the mesmerizing woman with an enchanting aura and second rate clothes lay down to sleep beneath the stars, a soft blanket thrown over her, and her son slumbering not far off to the side.....kougasmate- okay everyone, that's the chapter...-gets things thrown at her- fine fine! I'll continue, jeez!The next morning, after Naruto had awoken, angry at being left behind, and went home, he was surprised to hear some one knocking at his door. Shoveling the last of his ramen down his throat, he sprinted to open the door, surprised for the third time that morning, the first being finding out that he was in the forest."Sakura? What are you doing here? It's Sunday, we don't have training." Naruto spoke innocently, blinking his still drowsy eyes."Well Naruto, Tsunade wanted me to come and get you." Sakura answered, looking down as though her eyes would reveal a secret."Tsunade-baba? What's she want me for?""I don't know Naruto," Sakura lied, hating the feeling, "but we'd better get there soon, it seemed urgent..."Withing minutes, the two had arrived, and were sent to wait outside Tsunade's office. Sakura kept fiddling with a blade of grass, while Naruto talked animatedly to Iruka, who had arrived on Tsunade's call as well.As the clock ticked, a few otehr people showed up. After about an hour, the waiting room was full.Iruka and Naruto talked, while Sakura fiddled with the blade of grass, and Sasuke brooded in the corner. Opposite to Sasuke was Kakashi, as absorbed as ever in his book, ignoring those around him, and sitting alone was Jiraiya, who, for once, looked completely serious, almost solemn.Jiraiya almost didn't hear when Shizune came to beckon everyone into the Hokage's office."C'mon Ero-Sennin, I want to see what Tsunade-baba called us ALL down here for!"Jiraiya nodded, also very curious to find out the matter of urgency in which the Hokage had summouned them all. Standing, he watched everyone enter the room before following, going at his own pace.As everyone packed into the room, Tsunade nodded briskly."Naruto." She called out to the young boy, who was once more engaged in a one sided arguement with Sasuke.Blinkning, he shifted his blue gaze over to Tsunade, "Yeah?""Naruto, I've known you for almost a year, and consider you to be very close to me."Naruto gagged, for which a file of papers was thrown at him, accompanied with Tsunade's angry howling of, "You think I like being all mushy?"Moments later, the papers had been picked up, all but one, the one that was the most important. As Naruto glanced down, he happened to see it, laying face down on the floor, curiousity spiking immediately. Bending over as Tsunade re-organized the papers, he picked up the forlorn piece of paper, realizing it was a photo, flipping to it's other side.What met him was the steady green gaze of the woman he'd seen in the field, obviously years younger, standing next to the Yondaime himself."Tsunade-baba, who is this?" he asked, showing the picture to Tsunade, who looked down gravely. "That, Naruto, is why I've called you all here today...."kougasmate- another evil cliffie! I am so bad! -loves self profusely- just kidding. well, this is the end of yet another chapter! and to everyone who waited for more chapters these last few days, but got none, I am so so so so sorry! my life has been so hectic right now. I've been really sick for a few weeks, and my parents are going to hawaii (without me, the bums), and my uncle is really really sick, like dying, and just- urgh! Well, since my parents are going on vacation, I'll be at my grandma's hosue, where I'm allowed on the computer ALOT, so look for more chapters. I luffs you all! Review please.
