Chapter 6: The Girl At The Rock Show
“Ladies and Gentlemen,” said Ozzy(at Ozzfest), “due to difficulties beyond our control, Iron Maiden will not be playing tonight. That is all.”
The audience went nuts, people screamed and yelled and `WHAT?' could be heard all over.
“WHAT?! WHAT DO THEY MEAN IRON MAIDEN WON'T BE PLAYING?!” said a very angry Kiba. “NARUTO, WHY AREN'T YOU FREAKING OUT???!!THEY'RE YOUR MOTHERFUCKING FAVORITE BAND!!!”
“No Kiba, watch….Remember Slipknot?” said Naruto.
“OH!! Hehehe, they tried to pull a fast one…” said Kiba in an amused tone.
Suddenly guitars blasted out into a wild intro that everyone knew. The trademark beginning of The Trooper was being played out and a curtain moved aside to reveal Iron Maiden in all its glory. Eddie, their undead `mascot' was HUGE and protruded from the stage above Iron Maiden, its hand reaching out above the audience.
“That has got to be the BIGGEST Eddie I have EVER seen!!” said Naruto. “I have never seen them use one that goes out above the audience! Oh wait, here comes the singing! BRUCE DICKENSON, YOU ROCK!!!!!”
“You'll take my life but Ill take yours too
You'll fire you musket but Ill run you through
So when your waiting for the next attack
You'd better stand there's no turning back
The bugle sounds as the charge begins
But on this battlefield no one wins
The smell of acrid smoke and horses breath
As you plunge into a certain death
The horse he sweats with fear we break to run
The mighty roar of the Russian guns
And as we race towards the human wall
The screams of pain as my comrades fall
We hurdle bodies that lay on the ground
And the Russians fire another round
We get so near yet so far away
We wont live to fight another day
We get so close near enough to fight
When a Russian gets me in his sights
He pulls the trigger and I feel the blow
A burst of rounds take my horse below
And as I lay there gazing at the sky
My body's numb and my throat is dry
And as I lay forgotten and alone
Without a tear I draw my parting groan”

“Yeah!” said Dickenson, “I like you guys! Ya'll are the best audience this tour!”
The audience went wild in approval and a thousand fists could be seen in the air in the formation of the worldwide rock symbol; the Moloch.
“And,” added Dickenson, “with a little more effort, maybe ya'll could be the BEST AUDIENCE EVER!!!!”
The audience looked like a field of Moloch symbols, and the audience yelled at the top of their lungs.
“This next song is something about World War I, it's called Paschendale!” yelled Dickenson as they readied for the song.
“Aw, yeah!! I love Paschendale!!” said Naruto.
“Really? Me too!!” said a beautiful girl with black hair and light purple-to-white fade highlights. “What's your name?”
“Th- th- ….The names N- n- …Naruto…What's y- yours?”
“My real name is Yuki, but people call me Snow because that's what Yuki means in Japanese!” said the girl.
“Snow…Why do they call you that?
“Well this black hair isn't really my real color. See the light purple and white that looks like a highlight? That's my real color. Very light, and I'm unlike most people. There is less purple than white so they call me Yuki, or Snow.”
“You're very beautiful, and your hair makes you all the better.”
“Likewise you, your whiskers are so cute! And that blonde hair is so nice, I like the style of it and it matches your clothing style.” said Yuki. She looked at his necklace to see the Konoha leaf on it. “Hey, you're from Konoha!” I'm from the Village Hidden in the Snow.”
“Yeah, you saw my necklace! Wow, the snow isn't too far from Konoha, it's right next to The Mist. Then again, I could just cut through the woods and- Hey! They are about to play!”
“Alright! Sorry `bout that people. We had a problem with an amp. Alright, here we go!” said Dickenson.
The drumming began the song and soon the guitar came in with the odd effect that made it sound like it was fused with an organ or synthesizer. Then the other guitar came in, bursting the song into a rock jam, then went away as the single guitar played out the same intro riff. That's when Dickenson came in.
“In a foreign field he lay
Lonely soldier, unknown grave
On his dying words he prays
Tell the world of Paschendale
Relive all that he's been through
Last communion of his soul
Rust your bullets with his tears
Let me tell you 'bout his years
Laying low in a blood filled trench
Kill them 'til my very own death
On my face I can feel the falling rain
Never see my friends again
In the smoke, in the mud and lead
Smell the fear and the feeling of dread
Soon be time to go over the wall
Rapid fire and the end of us all
Whistles, shouts and more gun fire
Lifeless bodies hang on barbed wire
Battlefield nothing but a bloody tomb
Be reunited with my dead friends soon
Many soldiers eighteen years
Drown in mud, no more tears
Surely a war no-one can win
Killing time about to begin
Home, far away
From the war, a chance to live again
Home, far away
But the war, no chance to live again
The bodies of ours and our foes
The sea of death it overflows
In no man's land, God only knows
Into jaws of death we go
Crucified as if on a cross
Allied troops they mourn their loss
German war propaganda machine
Such before has never been seen
Swear I heard the angels cry
Pray to god no more may die
So that people know the truth
Tell the tale of Paschendale
Cruelty has a human heart
Every man does play his part
Terror of the men we kill
The human heart is hungry still
I stand my ground for the very last time
Gun is ready as I stand in line
Nervous wait for the whistle to blow
Rush of blood and over we go
Blood is falling like the rain
Its crimson cloak unveils again
The sound of guns can't hide their shame
And so we die on Paschendale
Dodging shrapnel and barbed wire
Running straight at the cannon fire
Running blind as I hold my breath
Say a prayer symphony of death
As we charge the enemy lines
A burst of fire and we go down
I choke a cry but no-one hears
Fell the blood go down my throat
Home, far away
From the war, a chance to live again
Home, far away
But the war, no chance to live again
See my spirit on the wind
Across the lines, beyond the hill
Friend and foe will meet again
Those who died at Paschendale”

The intro was played out again, but this time played in reverse order and used as an outro. Finally, the about 9 minute epic song was over.
“That. Was. Awesome.” said Yuki, Naruto, and Kiba in unison. During the song, Naruto was able to introduce Snow to Kiba and still enjoy the concert to the fullest.
Many songs were played and the audience only got wilder. They got through 2 Minutes To Midnight, Aces High, Brave New World, Rainmaker, and Number of the Beast before arriving at a song that was a tradition at every Iron Maiden concert.
“Alright then,” said Dickenson, “this'll be our last number. It has always been a tradition since its release, and it calls on you to help the guitar with the intro. As heard on Rock In Rio, the fans sing the guitar intro along with it at the top of their lungs. Right now, the audience from that recording holds the record for the best audience ever. Now let's see if you can break it. Dave, do us the honors of playing the intro for Fear of the Dark for our audience please.”
The audience went wild and prepared to sing along with the guitar. Suddenly, Dave opened up the guitar riff and the audience could be heard “Ohhhh”-ing along with it. The whole stadium was filled with the “Ohhhh”-ing and it matched the volume level of the guitar. Every note matched pitch and the singing of the audience was overwhelming. It was as though every single fan was singing. Naruto, Yuki, and Kiba were also doing this at which point Naruto realized that Snow had the voice of a rock goddess.
“My god,” said Dickenson, “you've done it!! I swear if any other audience does better than this, I'll drop dead on the spot!” The audience just went into madness, the good kind of madness. Dickenson stopped intruding into the intro and sang the lyrics coming up.
“I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when its dark
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that someone's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
Have you run your fingers down the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light?
Sometimes when you're scared to take a look
At the corner of the room
You've sensed that something's watching you
Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind
And turned around and no ones there?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look again
Because you're sure there's someone there
Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that someone's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there
When I'm walking a dark road
I am a man who walks alone”

“THANK YOU SO MUCH TOKYO!!” screamed Bruce. He took off one of his trademark leather spiked arm bracelets and threw it into the audience.
“LOOK!!” yelled Yuki to Naruto.
“LOOK!!” yelled Yuki to Naruto.
Naruto saw it coming straight for him, leaped, and caught it mid-flight.
“OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!! YOU CAUGHT THE ARM BRACELET FROM BRUCE DICKENSON!!” screamed Snow.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. But….Snow?”
“What? What is it?”
“I want you to have it.”
“WHAT?! No! It's yours! You caught it, you keep it!!”
“No, I already have something signed by him. Besides, how can I not let someone as sweet as you are, as beautiful as you are, not have this?” said Naruto as he placed it in her palm and closed her fingers on it.
“Thank you so much! Tell me, where do you want to meet?”
“Naruto bridge..”
“Omg! I just realized the connection! You're the hero! Wow, I can't believe it!”
“Yep, it's me.”
“Hey Naruto, let's go. People are going to trample us if we don't leave.” said Kiba.
“Alright, I have to go Snow. See ya!!”
“Alright! Tomorrow. Naruto Bridge. 2:00. Bye!!”
They got separated by the mass of fans and headed out. Finally, Naruto and Kiba made it out and to their transportation; Akamaru. Both jumped on the massive dog's back and the dog jumped into the street and onto the rooftops, going from building to building.
They finally reached a dense forest and Akamaru jumped into the trees, traveling at a very fast pace. Soon enough they were in Konoha in less time than it would take a small plane and they said their goodbyes and went to each's house to sleep.
