My life was for the most part was picture perfect my childhood was happy and my family loved me. Although I had an arranged marriage, my wife and I got along well and I believe that for the last decade of my life I truly loved her.

Uchiha was a powerful name that was known throughout the countries as the people who would give their lives to protect the Konoha village. It stuck fear in the hearts of many. As the clan head my opinion was important in village saftey matters and when it came time to pass down the name to my own sons…..well I was sorely disappointed.

My first son seemed to care more about his hair than my wishes and I nearly passed out when I saw that he had painted his fingernails green. I could only look to the heavens and ask myself why I was given such a feminine boy as the future clan head. So when my wife told me that we were expecting again I felt my prayers had been answered. I would raise this one differently I told myself, and I did.

Instead of devoting so much time on him like I had my first, I felt that I had to toughen him up so I left him to raise himself. Maybe I was hoping he wouldn't turn out as spoiled and self absorbed as my first born. Unfortunately, my lack of guidance only made him turn to his older brother, another mistake. When he told me he wanted to be just like his big brother I felt my heart clench, my clan was doomed.

So when one late night my first born came to murder us in cold blood I consoled myself by thinking that at least I was dying by my own son's hand, and he was proving his strength to me.

After my death I began to at least have some hope that my last son would do me proud and restore our clan, one that I could be proud of. But when he went to a man more feminine that some women that conjured up snakes I knew my hope was lost. I only wished he wouldn't wear makeup like the other.

The answer to my prayers came in the form of a woman with the softest pink hair I'd ever seen. She and another boy managed to steal him away from the clutches of the snake man and years later he married her.

I thanked Kami everyday I was so elated that finally my clan was going to be restored and the Uchiha name would once again be well known. When the woman became pregnant I prayed three times a day and the day that she went into labor I prayed until the baby was born.

It was a boy and I couldn't have asked for more.

And then the boy grew up and his jet black hair began to do funny things, it appeared to be turning lighter in color. And on his fifth birthday it was a completely different color. It was pink.

And I cried because I knew my clan was doomed.

Okay, totally off the wall, but when I read “Funny Hair” by Leishe I couldn't help but think what Saskue's father would think of his choice and the children they were bound to produce. You should read her story it's way better than mine!
