Authoresses note: hey it's Micheru with another chap, this one will be semi gory, I'll try to keep out the horrific gore, but there must be gore for you to understand what Yumeko has gone through. Another thing is that Yes I gave Yumeko Naruto's last name as I'm sure that questions and Assumptions are rolling around in those anime obsessed brains. I will not inform you of my plans for the future of this story that would just ruin it. Also this story jumps forward a lot, but I will try to make sure that you know it. Well that's all hope you enjoy the chap! And hey review, Cuz I need to know if the fic is good or not. Just be gentle with my fragile heart! *Strikes dramatic Pose*

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, but I do own some Naughty Pics of him I drew!!!!! HeHe.

She woke up the second time in a room with beige walls, it was plain and smelt of medicine. She took a look around the room it was bare save for a wooden chair beside the bed and an end table. The window was bare but on the sill there was a vase with a single white rose. Yumeko wondered if the blonde man had left it for her, then shook her head `ya right.' she thought sarcastically. `It was probably that little girl. She seemed the type to be sweet like that.' She slowly sat up in the bed, wincing when her side gave a sharp pain. She closed her eyes as memories of her first time in the hospital flashed before her eyes.

*~*~*~*Flashback~*~*~*

She was lying in the hospital, the doctor had told her that she had been in a comma for 2 months. The injuries her father gave her when he tried to kill her had been severe. She stared up at the ceiling, she was lucky to survive they said `oh yes' she thought sarcastically `I am so lucky, he killed my mother and my sister and left me alone in the world and I'm so lucky.' She thought back on the night that her father had gone mad, and murdered his family. Yumeko remembered how she had come home from a study session with her friends, nothing was out of the ordinary, her father looked calm as they sat down for dinner.

The meal was quiet, but then everything changed suddenly Youichirou stood up and walked over to his wife, and stabbed her with the steak Knife. Hatomi whimpered as the knife was twisted, Yumeko screamed she stood there motionless as her father repeatedly stabbed her mother. She watched her sister, Kanako hit their father over the back of the head. Kanako dragged they're heavily bleeding mother over to Yumeko. “We need to get out of here Yumeko. Mother won't be able to survive unless we get help. Yumeko are you listening…Yumeko” but Yumeko wasn't she was stuck in the moment her father Stabbed her mother, helplessly watching as he tried to end his wife of 16 years, life. Kanako slapped Yumeko across the face snapping her out of her trance “we have to get out of here, mom needs us to be strong so we can survive this, you have to be strong Yumeko, for mom for me.” Yumeko nodded slowly ready to do anything her sister told her to. “I'm going to go distract him you get mom out of here, can you do that?” Kanako asked tightly Yumeko nodded tears in her eyes “what if he gets you, Kanako?'” she asked tearfully Kanako just hugged her and ran off, leaving Yumeko to drag her unconscious mother to the door. Just as she open the door ready to run the neighbours, Kanako turned the corner she stopped and smiled at Yumeko. But Yumeko didn't smile back, she screamed for her sister to run, to move but it was already to late her father had slit Kanako's throat. She watched as her sister tried to talk, but all that could be heard was gurgling, Youichirou raised the bloody knife and threw it strait at Hatomi. Yumeko stood frozen as the knife embedded itself in between her mothers' eyes. She knew that she was the only one left now. She was going to die. She ran right at her father, she jumped to the side as her father tried to catch her. She ran through the kitchen to the living, but she quickly made her way to her fathers study. She searched around the room looking for a weapon, she might die tonight but she was going to take that bastard down with her. Her eyes locked on her father's silver paper weight. It was a large silver ball that was engraved with vines, Yumeko had always thought it was beautiful, but she needed a weapon to protect herself and this would serve its purpose. She slowly and quietly crept back into the living room, to find nobody there, she went to the kitchen and still no sign of life. Finally she checked the dining room to see Youichirou propping her mother and sister into the chairs in some grotesque picture of dinner. He turned around and looked Yumeko in the eyes, she knew looking into the eyes her father that once more blood would stain the floors of the Uzumaki household.

*~*~*End Flashback within a Flashback*~*~*~*

She stared dully at the ceiling, there was nothing left to live for. She had no one to go home to. No mother to hold her tight and tell her it was ok, to cry and feel pain. No sister to laugh with her and tell her that her drawings were beautiful. Yumeko was only 14 when her family was murdered, she was only 14 when she killed her father. She was only 14 when her soul started to die.

*~*~*~*End Flashback~*~*~*

She was snapped out of her stupor by the sound of the door creaking open, one of the boys from that day before walked in the door. It was the boy with the orange goggles. He grinned at her, Yumeko could tell he was uncomfortable. “ Sensei asked me to check up on you…” he trailed off awkwardly. Yumeko smiled at him, he really did seem like a nice boy. “Its' ok, My name is Yumeko. What's your name?” the boy looked uncomfortable, and Yumeko didn't know what to say to make him more at home. She really didn't want him to leave yet, she wanted company. It had been so long since she had been in the company of another. She usually avoided contact with others fearing loosing them once she got attached. She never really wanted to feel the deep lost she had already experienced. “My name is Uchiha Obito, the girl you saw yesterday was Rin and the weirdo in the Blue mask was Kakashi.” He seemed to come to some internal decision, for he walked over to the chair by the bed and sat down. Yumeko smiled glad that he decided to stay. “Oh and what is your sensei's name?” she asked with barely concealed mirth…

The boy was cute, and was truly good company, he regaled her with tales of his team. He had explained to Yumeko that he was a ninja, along with the two other children she saw. They were all students of the blonde man, she had learned was named Arashi. He had told her of the silver haired boys' accomplishments and how because of them the boy acted like he was so cool. She thought it was adorable this rivalry between the two. He told her of Rin and how pretty she was, and how the girl was practically perfect in his eyes. She giggled at the way he talked about his crush. They had spent hours together talking and he had promised to come see her tomorrow after practice, Yumeko had smiled and told him that she would look forward to his visit.
The next Day Obito had come and again he spent hours talking about the village, which she had also learned was a ninja village. He talked about Konoha with suck reverence. He loved his home. This patterned continued for weeks, slowly Yumeko became found of the Uchiha boy. He was happy go lucky with a love of life . He would tell her of how he would be late and make up weird excuses. They both laughed at his team mate's response to them. She had even suggested an excuse for him to use. Which he told her the next day had gotten a great response from Kakashi.

Three months later, Yumeko was healed enough to leave the hospital, she had met the man that Obito had called Hokage. He had secured Yumeko an apartment, and promised to find someone to teach her the ways of the ninja. Yumeko was excited her life was so full everyday she would meet Obito at her favourite restaurant Ichiraku. Yumeko had fallen in love… their Ramen was the best and she made sure to tell Obito eve time they went. Obito would bring Yumeko scrolls and books on Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. They fast became close friends despite the age gap. Her being 19 and him being 12. He was a sweet boy that she saw as a little brother. It was great the time they spent together. They didn't just go to Ichiraku's together, he would take her into the forest and she would draw for him. They would train together on the weekends. It was great the time they spent together.

Yumeko smiled, it was Obito's birthday tomorrow and she was going shopping for his gift. She had already baked him a cake , all she had to do was buy him a gift. Yumeko entered a store that was a favourite of Obito's. In the months that she had known him, Obito had taken to this particular store many times, showing her things that he liked and wanted to buy. Yumeko walked through the isle she was looking at was a book that Obito had shown interest in when she accidentally bumped into someone. “I'm so sorry.” She apologised before her eyes were engulfed in the liquid blue of the blonde man Arashi. Though she had never spoke to him or the other children, Obito had come to the hospital with a white rose from him everyday and his wishes for Yumeko's recovery. Yumeko knew that the man was kind at heart, and was grateful for his kindness towards her.

She smiled at him, “good morning Arashi-san.” She greeted politely, he looked startled that she knew his name.

“Obito speaks very highly of you.” She answered his unspoken question.

He smiled back “Ah, but I bet that he doesn't' praise me as much as he does you. He speaks of you all the time. “He laughed lightly, his chuckle was warm and it sent tingles down Yumeko's spine.

“If I may ask, what are you doing here?” he asked curiously

“I'm looking for a gift for Obito.” He smiled at Yumeko

“Me too..” he said conspiratorially, he had mischievous glint in his eyes.

Why don't we look for his gift together, and maybe have dinner together.” He asked innocently. Yumeko resisted the urge to laugh at the mans antics.
“I would love to.” she answered.

He acted like a kid in a candy store, through out their shopping he danced from Isle to Isle, picking up completely useless things and buying them. He never gave a reason for the items he bought, he just danced off to buy something else. Yumeko Laughed, enjoying Arashi's company immensely. He stopped suddenly causing Yumeko to crash into his back and land on her rump. He looked back at her like she had grown another head and Yumeko gave into her laughter, she supposed she was acting like a madwomen, sitting in the middle of the road laughing hysterically. After some time she calmed down enough that she was only giggling lightly. He smiled, at Yumeko and she could only guess at what he was smiling about. He helped her up, and the moment their hands touched Yumeko felt a current, it was like a shock but more intense. Seemly oblivious to the instance Arashi dragged Yumeko off to Ichiraku. Yumeko's smile lit up her entire face as she set sites on where they were heading and she chatted endlessly about her favourite Ramen and how much she loved the restaurant. Arashi Smiled at her and admitted that he loved to eat there two. It was the beginning of a Beautiful friendship.
