I just want to warn you all though… my internet is going down in a couple days so it will be extremely hard to post chapters lucky for me I have 2 computer classes, and a really old teacher who can't see 2 feet in front of her face. Cheers to my sightless and flaky teacher HURAH!!!!! HeHe well that's all I have to say….
Disclaimer: I don't own naruto…. But I do own a smexy poster of Itachi and the emo sasuke!!! Hehe I kid I love the emo's!!!!
Yumeko sighed happily, she had been gone for almost two years, when she left she never thought she would be gone this long. God did she ever miss her home. Konoha… nothing had ever looked more beautiful to her right now than her village. She missed Obito, Arashi and the Ichiraku. Her eyes misted as she thought of her first love… no ramen had ever tasted better. She knew as soon as she could ditch her sensai she would visit her favourite place and gorge on the worlds best ramen.
“Yumeko are you going to join me in some research!” Jiraiya waggled his brows suggestively
Yumeko laughed “No matter how many times or how long we spend at the onsen during each of those times, I still enjoy it, but alas my precious ramen is calling to me… I'm sorry sensai but you will have to do your research alone this time… she sighed dramatically and in a swirl of smoke she left her sensai to enjoy his research alone.
Yumeko leaned back patting her overly stuff stomach as she sighed contentedly “never in all the places I have travelled to have I had better ramen then here!!!!!” she exclaimed making the old man behind the counter smile. Yumeko stood up in her seat in Ichiraku planning on going home to rest for a bit before finding Obito, she had missed him more than anything. In the time she was gone all she could think of was Obito and what he was doing, and if he missed her. she would spend hours thinking up scenarios of what mischief he was getting into . she adored him, her little adoptive brother. She smiled when she thought of how he would be attached to her hip when he found out she was back. It was so cute how over protective he could be at times.
Yumeko walked down the silent streets, having gotten to the village just before sunset. She was walking by an alley when she heard to female ninja speaking of Arashi's gennin team, she stopped her ears perking up at the mention of Obito and Rin. She was curious as to what could have happened. Rin was to nice a girl to play pranks and the women sounded so solemn.
“I heard that the third one kakashi lost his eye in the battle…”
Yumeko had to hold in her gasp at that piece of knowledge, she wasn't expecting to hear anything like this. She could feel the dread build up in side her.
“poor boy, it must be hard for him, first to losing his eye then his two team mates. Such a tragedy. They showed such potential and promise. Arashi-san must be taking it hard.
It always is hard when one loses a student, especially ones so young. I heard that the hatake boy now has the sharingan now that his tea mate died.”
Silent tears ran down Yumeko's face, as she denied what she was hearing. It wasn't true Obito was not dead he would come bounding around that corner and smile at her and light up her world just like always. He would bring joy and happiness to her life and the lives of those around him, everything would be like it always was. Yumeko kept repeating it over and over in her head. Funny how each time she said it, it never seemed to get anymore convincing.
Yumeko bolted running full speed to the monument, she had to know… if it was true his name would be carved in the stone along with other brave shinobi who lost their lives for their village. She stood ten feet away afraid to move the rest of the distance to find the truth, what if this wasn't just another prank or a misunderstanding. What if Obito really was lost to her. Yumeko didn't know if she could live with out Obito and his beautiful smile, and bright spirit. he was everything he was her second chance at happiness. He was the first person she had let her self get close to in so long… he just couldn't be gone.
Slowly Yumeko stepped up to the stone slab, reading through the names of those who bravely fought to defend konoha. Tears gathered in her eyes and slowly slid down her face as she was confronted with the truth…
There at the bottom where two new names, The names of Obito and Rin. Yumeko Screamed at the top of her lungs, not stopping until her voice gave out with a hoarse wheeze. She Ran blindly stumbling through the forest all of her shinobi train lost in the sea of her terror and sorrow. She ran, ran blindly until she was safely in the sanctuary of her home.
Yumeko stood in the middle of her apartment it was all so hard to believe, because he was her light her everything. Yumeko fell to her knees in a broken heap. “WHY? Why do I have to lose everything I love? Why must I always suffer? Why can't I ever be happy for once?” she screamed hoarsely, her body shook with the force of her sobs. Yumeko laid on her side curling in on herself weakly, staring at the wall with glassy eyes.
Yumeko didn't know how long she had been there lying on her living room floor, the only way that a bystander would be able to tell she was still alive was by the slight movement of her chest as she breathed shallowly. She hadn't moved, slept or ate in what seemed like days. She had told nobody of her return and knew that Jiraiya would not check on her for another couple of days.
She sat there wallowing in her self pity, Obito was gone, dead just like that and so was Rin. Yumeko just didn't know understand how, they were so talented and so was that genius boy Kakashi. It just didn't make sense, they were only children, why would anyone want to attack them. It didn't really matter though because they were gone, leaving Yumeko, Kakashi, and Arashi behind.
It took time but eventually Yumeko got up, she cleaned herself up and she ate. She mourned but it wasn't as overwhelming as before… Now it was just as if she was hallow. Empty of anything, but a disturbingly calm anger that simmered below the surface.
Yumeko sighed no more joy would come to her… Obito was her precious person, the one she swore to protect. Her new family, but unlike before she would not give up. She would do something if her past training with Jiraiya taught her anything it was that the best way to mourn a loved one was to celebrate their love and not die mourning their death.
