CHAPTER 2

 

“I know your secrets Uchiha-kun...”

 

“What the fuck?! Who the hell is this?!” Sasuke growled into the phone.

 

“It doesn't matter who I am, all that matters is that I know what you and your little `playmate', Haku, were doing last night.”

 

“H-Haku?! Wh-What are you talking about” Sasuke stammered hoping whoever this was didn't know about Sasuke and Haku's reunion.

 

“'Haku! uuhhhhhnnnn...' don't think no one heard you two in there last night.”

 

“What I do is none of your damn business. Who the fuck are you?!” Sasuke yelled knowing full well that he was found out.

 

“As I told you before, it doesn't matter who I am. And denying what you and I both know you did last night is no use, because before long everyone will know your little secret. hahahahaha.” Maniacal laughter was all that came from the other end of the phone, followed by a click of someone silently closing the phone.

 

“What's wrong Sasuke?” Haku asked concerned with the look of shock on Sasuke's face.

 

“I-- we.... they know...”

 

“Know?! Know what?!”

 

“They know...about...us...”

 

“H-how?!” Haku exclaimed, fear evident on his face.

 

“They heard us last night...Uzumaki-kun said something about hearing sex-screams last night, but I didn't know anyone knew it was us...” Sasuke sat down on the bed and covered his face with his hands.

 

Haku walked over to his lover in an attempt to comfort him. “I...I don't know how, but we will get by this...but...uh...now that people know...do you think we should go to school tomorrow?”

 

“Hmmm...school...well, I think the faculty will know something is up if we are both out, now that they know about us so...yeah I think we should go...but...it will be an odd day to say the least.”

 

“Do you want to come stay in my room tonight, or do you want me to stay here, or something?”

 

“No, I think it would be best if we were both in our own rooms tonight, but I will call you. I promise.”

 

Haku nodded and scooted closer to Sasuke. “I guess this means we can pay attention to each other in school now...right?”

 

“Heh...I wouldn't rather spend my time with anyone else.” Sasuke replied looking up at Haku. “Let's just hope they don't switch up our schedules.”

 

Haku nodded slowly and looked away. `What if they do switch our schedules? I don't think I could get by with a secret like this out this alone...”

 

Sasuke noted the distant look on Haku's face and lightly grabbed his chin and pulled his face forward. “Don't worry about a thing, I won't let anyone tease you, no matter if we have classes together or not, everything will be o.k.” With that Sasuke leaned forward and lightly kissed Haku only the have Haku Wrap his arms around Sasuke and deepen the kiss. Sasuke parted his lips and allowed Haku's tongue to slip into his mouth. Sasuke loved the feeling of kissing. The feeling of Haku's warm tongue gliding over his own with a rhythm almost melodic.

 

After a long passionate kiss, Sasuke pulled away needing to breathe. “I think we should get you out of here now before everyone starts coming back from dinner.”

 

“What about your sheets? We should surely fix them, we don't want anyone wandering in and seeing this mess...although I'm sure they already know, but still...”

 

“Haku...I can get it, let's just get back you back to your room.” Sasuke stood up and grabbed Haku by the hand pulling him up off the bed. “I promise I will call you...everything will be all right.”

 

 

When Sasuke got back to his room, he was panting for breath. `Stupid girls, why must they chase me because I don't want them? Gyah, I'll think about this some other time, I need to call Haku right now.'

 

“Hi Haku, miss me?”

 

“Sasuke-kun!! People won't stop knocking on my door! Well, more like banging on it!! Gyah, they won't leave me alone....”

 

“Calm down Haku,” Sasuke started thinking how he could calm his lover down, but nothing came to him, “I'm sure they will go away soon.”

 

“Gyah I.....I just found a note on my dresser...it wasn't there when I left for your room...Sasuke, I'm scared.....”

 

`Oh shit' Sasuke thought to himself, “What does it say Haku-kun?”

 

“N-no, I d-don't want t-to r-read it...” Haku answered his voice shaking with fear.

 

“Haku! Calm the fuck down! It is just a note; the worst it can say `Get the fuck out of this school faggot!'” Although Sasuke was putting on a calm front, he really hoped it didn't say anything of the sort. He couldn't take it if that happened again...

 

Haku reached for the note, fingers trembling. What if it was from Zabuza-san? What if he had heard about Sasuke and Haku? How would he tell Sasuke what was really in the note? He hadn't even told him about Zabuza.

 

You and your little fuck buddy Sasuke make me sick. How the hell can you two do such a thing? Word gets around fast in this school, so I won't be surprised if by the time you get this not half the people here are waiting to rip your head off. No doubt Ino-chan and Sakura-chan. Heh, I guess I'm glad I told them first. Then I left it with Uzumaki-kun, I knew he would make sure word got around for me. Your days are limited here. Watch your step.

“Haku! Haku, are you all right?!” Sasuke asked after what seemed like too long of silence on the other end of the phone.

 

“Y-yeah, I-I'm fine. I just read the note, it's from Gaara-kun, and he's the one who told everybody.”

 

“Gaara! Damn that little freak! He must have been the one who called me earlier. What did the note say?”

 

Haku read the note out to Sasuke, “Why would he care so much? I never even thought about Ino and Sakura; they will surely want to hurt me tomorrow.”

 

“I won't let them.” Sasuke stated bluntly. “Look, we should get some sleep, tomorrow is going to be a long night. Call me if anything bad happens, but for now just try to go to bed, okay?”

 

“Okay Sasuke-kun, I will try. Good night...”

 

“Good night Haku...I-I love you...” With that Sasuke put down the phone. `Did I just say that?!' Sasuke seriously thought he was losing his mind.

 

 

The cold night air rushed by the young boy as he pulled the thin blanket closer around him. `I hate camping' he thought to himself.

 

Just then a warm body placed itself next to him and he looked up. “Kakashi-sensei?!” he exclaimed not sure what was going on.

 

“Sshhh, everything will be all right, just go to sleep.”

 

“Huh?! What do you mean everything will be alright?! What's going on?”

 

“Just go to sleep Uchiha-kun, I will explain everything in the morning.”

 

“B-but...”

 

“no, go to sleep”

 

“It's too cold!” Sasuke wailed trying to stall the older man into possibly telling him what was going on (although he was freezing his ass off).

 

“I'll keep you warm for tonight as there are no more blankets, just go to sleep.” With that Kakashi pulled Sasuke closer wrapping his blanket tighter around him and making sure he was kept warm.

 

Sasuke couldn't mistake the utter feeling of sheer bliss as the silver-haired man hugged him tightly to his chest. `What is going on?!' he thought to himself before being pulled into a dream-less sleep.

 

 

The insistent buzz of the alarm clock pulled Sasuke out of his fitful dream. He quickly dressed, anxious about how the day would turn out. He was just about to leave when the phone rang.

 

“Hello?!” Sasuke snapped into the receiver, pissed because he would be late to get Haku.

 

“SASUKE-KUN HOW COULD YOU LEAD ME ON LIKE THAT IF YOU AND HAKU WERE SUCH A THING?!”

 

“What the fuck?! Sakura-chan how did I ever lead you on?!” Sasuke asked bewildered at how Sakura thought he was doing such a thing.

 

“How did you not lead me on?! Lending me a pencil and telling me to keep it, letting me copy your notes, giving me a sheet of paper...”

 

`How the fuck is that leading her on?!' “Sakura-chan, I would do those things for anyone...what made you think you were so special?”

 

“Well, okay, maybe you weren't leading me on per say, but you at least made me fell like I had a better chance than Haku.” She spit the last word out as if it were poisonous. “I mean you two don't even talk in school!”

 

“What Haku and I do is none of your damn business Sakura, and if you don't mind I have to go!” With that Sasuke slammed down the phone and stalked out of the door. `Damn Sakura-chan, what a fool!' he thought as he turned left down the hall.

 

 

“Sasuke-kun! I didn't think you were coming!” Haku was unreadable to Sasuke this morning, although he seemed anxious, his tone sounded cross.

 

“Sorry Haku, I got held up by a crazy phone call from Sakura-chan.”

 

“Oh...what did she want?”

 

“Just wanted to complain about `how could I pick you over her?!'”

 

“Oh...”

 

“Haku, don't think like that,” Sasuke said noting the melancholy look on his lover's face and pulling him into a warm hug, “I can't picture being with anyone else.”

 

Haku rested his head on Sasuke's shoulder for a few seconds before straightening up and stating that they should leave.

 

 

Haku and Sasuke arrived at the front gate of the school, ready to approach what would prove to be the most awkward day ever.

 

“Ready?” Sasuke asked the near-hyperventilating Haku.

 

“Y-yeah, let's do this...”

 

They pushed open the doors of the school and set foot into the bustling sea of bodies that gawked at them having just heard the news.
