CHAPTER 3

 

Sasuke glanced over at Haku who was twitching nervously. “Calm down, everything is going to be fine...”

 

Haku nodded, but still didn't seem reassured. Sasuke thought of only one way to calm him down...'but...I...no...I must...*sigh*'. After having the silent debate, he gently interlaced Haku's fingers with his own and tugged slightly to get him walking. Haku jumped slightly at the action (a/n: well its Sasuke...who wouldn't jump?) but then started walking.

 

As they traveled through the hallways, things like “Go away faggots!” were being hissed at them. With each negative comment, Sasuke couldn't help but wince, though no one noticed. They rounded the corner to get to their lockers when an announcement came over the P.A.

 

“Attention students, will....Haku and Sasuke please report to the front office...oh! and...Gaara...”

 

Haku jumped and Sasuke looked towards the floor. `No...what do they want...why are they putting me in a room with Gaara? What's going on?' Haku pulled Sasuke out of his thoughts with a comment slightly above a whisper.

 

“W-we sh-should g-go...”

 

“yeah, let's go...”

 

With those final words, the continued walking, not even stopping to drop off their bags at their lockers.

When they finally approached the front office, Gaara was leaning against the wall with a nasty smirk. “Heh, did you like my little note?”

 

“N-no, you have no business in what Sasuke and I choose to do."

 

Sasuke was so stunned by Haku's sudden confidence that he himself couldn't speak.

 

"Heh, well when you are screaming all over the dorms, I think it becomes my business." Gaara stated seemingly interested in some dirt under his fingernail.

 

"Well--"

 

"Get in here you three!" Sasuke was cut off by the angry voice of...who was their principal? No one really knew. 'Wait a minute...I know that voice....Kakashi-sensei!' Sure enough the silver-haired man of Sasuke's past was standing in front of them, anger evident in his eye (the only part of his face really showing).

 

Kakashi walked around the three taking in every detail he could. Haku was twitching...Gaara was standing there with that same smart ass smirk he always wore...and Sasuke....hmmm....keeping up a bold face though it was evident of the many trails of thoughts running through his mind. 'Gah....I'll think about that later' "Do you all know why you are here?" he asked finally after he stopped circling them and sat down behind his desk.

 

Haku who was still twitching looked nervously down at the floor, Sasuke answered with a shrug and a glare at Kakashi, but Gaara "How the hell are we supposed to know?!"

 

"Watch your tongue young man..." Kakashi stated with what seemed to be a grimace appearing on his features, "You are here, because, someone (he shot a glare at Gaara) has spread the profane actions of Haku and Sasuke around school. That however brings up a new problem, you two, Haku, Sasuke, were in contact with each other in a way that is most certainly not allowed in this school."

 

"But sensei...we...we...uh...erm....well...you see..." 'Damn-it, this cannot be so hard, just tell him why you and Haku were having sex...'

 

"Well sensei, you are right, we shouldn't have been partaking in such actions, however, you see we normally see each other off of school grounds where it is allowed, but...well, Sasuke-kun had just gotten back from that mission you sent him on, and we sort of got caught up in the moment."

 

"That is no excuse Haku-kun, and you of all people should know it, the reason we have boy and girl dorms in separate sections is for that reason alone."

 

"Well, what about people like them," Gaara added with a sneer, "You never said anything about not having sex, you just said that girls are not allowed in boy's dorms and vice-versa."

 

'Why is he sticking up for us all of the sudden?!' Sasuke shot a glare at Gaara trying to figure out what was going on, and then it hit him. 'Of course, if Haku and I weren't together, he couldn't have spread it around; he is trying to get himself out of trouble.'

 

"Yes, but there is a rule against public display of affection, and I think our screams were more than enough to show that!" Sasuke yelled, caught up in the moment.

 

Haku quirked an eyebrow and looked at Sasuke questioningly. Sasuke merely nodded as if to say 'I will tell you later'.

 

"Yes...erm...well...now that we have all of that sorted out, all we have to do is decipher the punishments..." Kakashi-sensei said all too taken aback at Sasuke's sudden outburst against himself.

 

"I say expel the faggots..." Gaara hissed with a narrowed glare at Sasuke. 'How did he figure out what I was trying to do?'

 

Sasuke and Haku swapped panicked glances.

 

"Yes...well....erm...that's a bit harsh, ne?"

 

"Oh, sensei, please no!" Haku breathed softly.

 

"Well...erm..."

 

"Sensei...." Gaara said in a warning-like tone, "All they did is pollute our school with their fagot-ness, next thing you know every guy in the school will be fucking another guy!"

 

"That's quite enough Gaara-kun! As I told you before, watch your tongue, if you don't you will find yourself in more trouble than you are in already. Now! Gaara for posting the private business all over the sch-"

 

"I already told you, I didn't do it!"

 

"Then who the hell did?!" Kakashi questioned his temper rising.

 

"Uzumaki-kun..." Gaara stated with a sly grin.

 

"Yeah, but you told Uzumaki knowing that he would tell everyone else!" Haku yelled, his temper too rising.

 

"Alright then, that's quite enough, now I am going to make a call, and I want silence." With that Kakashi left the room.

 

"Haku...I didn't know you had it in you..." Gaara smirked.

 

"Oh shove a sock in you arrogant fool!" Sasuke said speaking for the first time in quite a while.

 

"Oh, look who finally decided to talk..." Gaara taunted.

 

Sasuke replied with a glare.

"Iruka-kun, I need to see Uzumaki Naruto..." Kakashi said into the receiver.

 

"Alright, I will send him right down."

 

"Uzumaki-kun, go to the front office."

 

"T-the office?! I didn't do anything! Believe it!" Naruto stammered.

 

"*sigh* I don't know why, just go, and don't make a big scene." Iruka said quietly.

 

Naruto grabbed his bag off the chair, and headed for the door 'why the fuck do I have to go to the office?!' He slammed the door shut and made his way through the halls 'I didn't fucking do anything!'

"Naruto-kun is on his way..." Kakashi said as he got back to the room, "Now, I want to know what happened from each one of you."

 

Haku told the story of how he missed Sasuke and they started kissing when he got back and just got caught up in the heat of the moment. Sasuke winced at the endearing terms that Haku used, but just stood in his place silently staring at the floor.

 

"Okay Haku-kun, thank you for telling me what happened, now Gaara-kun, please tell me why you did what you did."

 

Gaara simply glared at Kakashi-sensei, but then he finally spoke. "Well as you know I was royally pissed when you chose Uchiha here to go on the mission, and well most everyone knew what had gone on judging by the screams that came from his room, I just wanted to clarify it for those who didn't. There is nothing in the school rules about gossip."

 

"Gaara-kun...." Kakashi said shaking his head...

 

"Why the hell am I here?! I didn't fucking do anything! Believe it!" Naruto yelled as he finally entered the office.
