AN: Main Pair is NaruHina, but will become a Naruharem if I get enough requests. BTW Don't BITCH to me about how you don't like NaruHina pairings, if that do give me better reasons other its been done, its stupid, that it wouldn't work or anything among those lines, ok?

Other then that, review and tell how it is since its basically my first fanfic.

Sum mary: At the age of 5, Uzumaki Naruto dies at the hands of the villagers. Now one of Great Shinigami Lords has appeared before the blond and is taken away to Soul Society, where he must become a Shinigami in order to save the shinobi world.

"Why?" thought a blond boy as he stared at his bloody self on the ground surrounded by jounin, chuunin, and ANBU as they awaited the arrival of the Hokage. Some wore impassive expersions, other were trying not to smile in satiation that the demon-brat had been killed at last, fearing the wrath of Hokage. Naruto could feel anger from a few of the shinobi, three of which he recently met, a young chuunin named Umino Iruka and two ANBU one named Uchiha Itachi and another named Hatake Kakashi. Their anger however paled in comparision to the Sandaime's as he walked up to Naruto's badly beaten and bloody corpse, causing many of the shinobi to shudder in fear caused by his killing intent, even Itachi.

"ITACHI! KAKASHI!" barked the Hokage in a anger and harsh tone, trying to keep the emotions of sorrow and anger in check.

"Hai Hokage-sama." the monotone Uchiha replied.

"Itachi, I want you to take a group of ANBU and locate the jounin that were assigned of looking after Naruto and take them to Ibiki. Kakashi, you go find out who did this and bring them to me, the rest of go and arrest anyone who to tries to celebrate the boy's death."

"Hai!" In an istant the shinobi left the scene. Then the Sandaime bent down and gently picked up the body of the blond and cradled it in his arms, looking down at the boy's battered face, silent tears running down his face. "Forgive Arashi...Naruto... I've failed you both..." Sarutobi then left the scene. Unaware of the small blond boy with a grey silver chain attached to his chest that was standing next to where old man was, tears pouring down his own face.

"Oji-san!" thought the boy as he now stood all alone. Feeling more alone then he ever felt Naruto sat down and brought his knees to his chest and began sobbing uncontrollby.

"Child, do not cry for you will see the Sandaime again" A voice sounding of great power and wisdom said from above the boy. Naruto looked up and saw what he knew from books to be the Shinigami. He floated above him wearing white robes exposing only part of his light purple skin chest, long and bushy white hair that run his back and covering most of his forehead nearly hiding his two horns and his demonic face, holding a dagger in his mouth, his purple skinny left hand holding on to praying beads. Looking down on the frighten child with his yellow pupil and black colored eyes, knowing that the boy thought that he was there to devour his soul.

"I have not come to eat your soul if that is what frightens you Uzumaki Naruto." Spoke the Shinigami, without the use of his mouth. "You are still needed in this world, even though I have no right whatsoever to ask for your aid, for I share a great deal of blame for the cause of your torment in your life."

"W-what do mean?" Naruto's fear being dissolved by his curiosity as he stared at Death itself.

"Child you are what is dubbed a Jinchuuriki, a demon vassal, sealed within you is the spirit of the Kyuubi no Kitsune."

"... n-No WAY! YOUR LIEING, IT ISN'T TRUE!!"

"Alas child it is, for it was I, along with the Yondaime, who sealed the demon within you, so despite what you wish to believe, it is true and that can never be changed." The Shinigami said as it stared at the shocked child, who was progessing the information.
" Then all it makes sense now...sob... how they treatment me, looked at me...hic...no wonder EVERYONE hate me so much, I'm a monster, a demon." Naruto said softly as he wiped the tears from his face. The Shinigami's face, if one dare to look close, seemed to take a scowl on its already fearful features as it just heard, what truly was, the most idiotic thing it all its years of existence.
"You speak true and utter nonsense child, for no monster would cry as you do. It was the final wish of the Yondaime that you would be seen as a hero and savior by the people of Konoha, a wish that sadly did not come true. Not even most demons treat their children as the humans treated you. Makes me wonder why the humans think they are so great of a species, for many are nothing more then a true waste of existence. And you are not hate by all who live here. The Sandaime cried for death and there are others who will cry for you, Naruto." Stated the God of Death in strong tone.
" Are you sure?" Naruto asked as he stop wiping the tears from his face looking at the Shinigami in disbelief.
"Child, I have existed for countless millennuim, witness countless unbelievable events, and have infinite knowledge and power that is only suprassed by the true Supreme One, believe my word when I say you are a child with great potential and a even greater heart, despite your early years of life that has been give a burden to endure that no one should to. Those that do not see this are the greatest fools that I have ever see."
Naruto couldn't believe that such kind words, which only the Hokage and the owner of the Ramen Shop said to before, where coming from the God of Death. Tears were again in his eyes, but not out of pain but joy.
"Thank you Shinigami-sama, thank you...sniff. B-but wait what about the Kyuubi? I mean, if I'm wouldn't the demon be set free?" Naruto asked in fear of the demon attacking the village and hurting the few that actually cared for him.
"No child the Kyuubi will be sealed within you as long as I desire it so. That one of the few things I must dicuss with, for we must leave this world for now." With a circle motion of his hand a portal opened and the God gesture for Naruto to come with into the portal.
"Where are you taking me?" Naruto asked as he stepped into the portal.
"I am taking to the place my children resident, it is called Soul Society and it is there where you will become a Shinigami." Answered the Shinigami as the portal closed behind it.
AN: Sorry if the chapter is a bit short, hopelly the follewing will be longer.
