“Ok since you’re new, I’ll take pity and let you sit with me and the crew” Naruto said in an arrogant tone as him and Sasuke paid for their lunches and walked off towards a table.
They walked up to a table in the back of the lunch room where no one else sat. At the table sat all of Naruto’s pals. Shikamaru, Kiba, Kankuro, Choji and a boy with spiky black hair and wearing a coat that covered his mouth, sat on one side of the table while a red headed boy and two other boys with long black hair sat on the other side.
“Hey guys!” Naruto shouted as him and Sasuke arrived at the table. “This is Sasuke, he’s sitting with us today” he announced as him and Sasuke sat in the two free spots.
“Hello, Sasuke. I’m Haku” one of the boys with long black hair said, extending a hand for a friendly shake. He had deep brown eyes and long black hair pulled back in a bun, well except two front side bangs that neatly curved the frame of his face. He wore a formal white shirt with the top three buttons undone and a red tie messily tugged semi loose along with a pair of blue jeans.
“Hey” Sasuke replied, shaking Haku’s hand.
“And that’s Shino” Haku said, pointing towards the boy with spiky dark brown hair and wearing a pair of dark sunglasses and a strange jacket the covered most of the bottom half of his face.
Shino looked at Sasuke then back down at a insect book he was looking through. Sasuke stared for a moment then turned his attention to the other boy with long hair.
“My name is Hyuga Neji” the boy said, noticing Sasuke’s stare.
“And that’s Gaara” Haku said, sparing Sasuke the trouble of asking as he pointed towards the quiet red head at the end of the table.
“And the tubby boy is Choji, just incase you didn’t know” Shikamaru said lazily, pointing a finger towards the large boy named Choji munching on a bag of BBQ chips.
“I’m not chubby! I’m big bone!!!” Choji yelled in rage as he shot up from his seat and glared at Shikamaru who just yawned as if nothing was happening.
“Calm down, geez so troublesome” Shikamaru sighed, flapping his hand in a motion for Choji to sit back down.
Haku laughed as the group started talking about all sorts of stuff. Sasuke faded in and out of the chats until something interesting rang in his ears.
“So what song should we play at the gig next week?” Neji asked.
“Gig?” Sasuke asked, raising a slender brow in question.
“Ya, for our band” Naruto grinned.
“We finally got a gig at the school dance next week” Haku added sweetly.
Sasuke gave them a skeptical look as they all went back to talking.
After awhile, lunch ended and Naruto happily walked to his next class, Sasuke following since they had most classes together. They walked towards two metal doors and could hear yelling from inside.
“Uh what was this class again?” Sasuke asked, nervousness tinting his voice as he skeptically looked at the door.
“P.E., duh” Naruto snorted as they walked in to find kids running all over, trying to fit in some fun before the teacher came in.
Sasuke sighed in relief, he was always good at sports and athletic stuff so this wouldn’t be a problem. He looked boredly around the gym as kids ran around. Then he noticed a group of girls on the bleachers waving and winking at him. He shivered until he felt a hand pull him into a room on the side by the door they had entered in.
“If ya haven’t noticed, there’s girls in gym two” Naruto said as he dragged Sasuke into the boys changing room.
Sasuke just silently glared as Naruto took off his shirt and began to change. With a slight tint of blush, Sasuke looked away and started changing as well. When they were done, Naruto was wearing a black T-shirt with orange shorts and white tennis shoes. While Sasuke wore a blue T-shirt and white shorts along with white tennis shoes.
“Oh, Sasuke-kun!” a girl shouted as soon as Sasuke and Naruto walked out of the changing room.
Sasuke only saw a flash of pink before he found himself on the ground. He looked shocked as he looked up at the pink haired girl who had glomped him. Naruto just snickered and walked off to a almost empty bleacher where he was greeted by Shikamaru.
“Get off of me” Sasuke growled as he lifted himself on his elbows to look down at the annoying girl he remembered to be named Sakura.
“Aww but, Sasuke-kun!” she whined as Sasuke stood up and shook her off, causing her to fall to the ground with a soft ‘thud’.
She rubbed her bottom in slight pain as she stood up and gave Sasuke a pout. He just huffed it off and walked off to sit at an empty bleacher. Well…that was the plan before the group of girls from earlier ran over to him and crowded him. Naruto watched from the bleacher across the gym along with Shikamaru and laughed.
“Serves the teme right” he snickered as he watched the group of girls get bigger.
“H…hel..lo, Na..ruto-kun” Naruto looked over to see a girl with very short, deep blue hair walk up to him.
“Hey, Hinata!” Naruto shouted happily as the girl blushed and looked down nervously.
Before they could say anymore, a man in a green jump suit and bushy eye brows walked into the gym with a grin.
“Hello Class!” He shouted in a glory pose as all the kids gave him weird glances them took their spots in the gym.
“Hello, Gai-sensei” The class said in unision as they all stood up straight.
Sasuke stared at the man with the same look he had given Naruto earlier in the bathroom on the side lines. Gai-sensei looked over to the boy and gave him a thumbs up as his grin grew. Which, along with the rest of the class, scared him as he slightly backed away.
“You must be our newest burst of youth!” Gai shouted excitedly as he ran over and patted Sasuke on the shoulder.
“Uh yeah…” Sasuke said, trying to act calm when he wanted to faint or run.
“At least he didn’t make any dumb ass comments like you did when you first met Gai-sensei” Shikamaru mused to Naruto.
“What! He has big eyebrows! They freaked me out, I had the right to say something” Naruto huffed as he crossed his arms over his chest and turned his head to the side in a pout.
“How dare you insult Gai-sensei!” a boy who looked like a mini Gai said from behind Naruto.
“Oh hey, Fuzzy brows!” Naruto grinned.
But before a response could be heard, Gai-sensei shouted to all the kids that they would be playing dodge ball today. Naruto grinned, this was his favorite game.
