Chapter 1: He's Back

Naruto stood against the pole of the bus stop with a cigarette in his hand. He blew the smoke out lazily as he glanced to his friend Shikamaru who was smoking next to him. He was shorter than Shikamaru who stood at the height of 5'11 while Naruto stood at 5'5. He flicked his cigarette to the ground and cleared his throat.

"I don't know what I could do without you!" he beamed at his taller friend and gave him a tackling hug.

Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "Not a big deal."

He was used to Naruto's clingy behavior since Naruto was just that type of guy. He pried Naruto off of him and continued smoking. He stepped back a little bit and gave a sheepish laugh. "Sorry."

Naruto licked his lips after his spit on the ground making the random lady standing at the bus stop look at him in disgust. It wasn't as though Naruto was rude or anything it was just that he was loud with everything he did. They weren't waiting for the bus but just waiting for another friend of Shikamaru's. Naruto's schedule was usually busy since he was the top model at Konoha's Magazine. It was a simple name for a company but Naruto needed a new photographer since the last one he had was a pervert. Shikamaru was his planner and has been looking around for a photographer until his old friend Sai called him that he was available for the job.

"No seriously! I thought that pervert was going to fire me when I kicked the shit out of Kabuto." Naruto said seriously this time.

Shikamaru shrugged. "I don't think you should thank me. Sai, is a bit troublesome."

Naruto laughed. "I'm sure I could deal with him!"

Shikamaru just sighed while Naruto happily went on and on about how much he needed his modeling job. It wasn't like he didn't have enough money but Naruto enjoyed the spotlight. He always did his best even in school. Lately though a lot of people have been harassing the poor blonde. It started with Kabuto, Naruto's photographer who always tried to touch him. Then it was other models like Sabaku Gaara who did a photo shoot in Konoha for his magazine in Suna. Naruto's own grandfather, Jiriyia made jokes about him being fuckable. It was all troublesome to Shikamaru since he knew Naruto since they were kids.

When the bus finally came Sai stepped off the bus with barely a shirt on and leather pants. It was currently fall in Konoha so it was slightly cool. Shikamaru waved at him to come over and pulled out another cigarette. He just knows that Sai is going to say something inappropriate. Naruto stared at Sai curiously and then back at Shikamaru.

"Hey! Are you Sai?" Naruto asked with a stupid grin on his face.

Sai looked at him with dark eyes and tilted his head to the side as though he was thinking. Then he put on a fake smile and that's when he spoke. "Didn't believe that he was truly dickless."

Shikamaru shifted to his side waiting for Naruto's outburst.

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY?" Naruto yelled out stomping over to Sai who stood at 6'0.

Sai just looked down at him fake smile still in place. "I said that I didn't know you were truly dickless."

"I'm NOT dickless! You should know that I stand proudly at--

Naruto stopped to look around to see women gaping and then walking away in disgust. Naruto always had that effect on people. They would want to run away but they were also curious about him. The blonde looked sheepishly down at his shoes and scratched the back of his neck.

Sai just nodded. "Hello, lazy one."

Shikamaru just sighed. "Are you done here?"

Sai looked down at his bags and did another fake smile. "I believe I am."

Naruto just narrowed his stormy blue eyes. "Come on then!"

They both followed the short blonde to his white limo who was stomping cutely in everyone's position. Even if he was angry Naruto always made everyone seem that he wasn't serious. It doesn't help that he acts childish as well.

Once they dropped Sai off at his new apartment Naruto was still slightly mad. "You didn't say that he was a jerk, Shikamaru?"

"I thought you could decide for yourself. Sai is weird enough to give everyone their own personal pet names. It's his only way of showing affection." Shikamaru yawned.

"Who shows affection by insulting a man's manhood?!" Naruto's voice became louder than necessary.

"Calm down. Tomorrow you're going to be working with him. You'll see what I mean when I say he's the best."

Naruto just closed his arms over his chest and gave a loud 'humph'. The rest of the ride was made in silence as they made their way to Hokage Towers. It was two towers of pent-houses where only rich people were able to live. Even the mayor lived at the top of the Tower to with the office at the other top of the Tower. It was truly an amazing place to live if you wanted to waste more money than necessary. Shikamaru lived on the bottom floor since he didn't want to move furniture upstairs. Naruto lived near on the floor under the mayor since she was his grandmother.

They both got out of the limo and Naruto's bodyguards, Kakashi and Yamato came to greet him. They bowed in respect and Naruto just smiled at them. Even though he was small he happened to be able to beat most of his bodyguards before he hired them. If he couldn't beat them than he didn't hire them. It was just one of his rules.

"Hey guys! Miss me?" he asked with his smile growing wider.

Kakashi just looked lazily at Shikamaru who just nodded. "So you've met Sai?"

"Yeah! The jerk had to nerve to insult me!" Naruto yelled while Yamato just gave him a look telling him to quiet down.

"Troublesome." Shikamaru said when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Everyone looked at him and waited for him to pick it up.

"Hello, Ino." he said tiredly.

What she said made his eyes widened and made everyone raise their eyebrow. If something shocked Shikamaru enough to make his eyes widen it much be something big.

"Are you certain that it was him?" he asked.

He was silent for a moment before he nodded. "Bye."

He put the phone back in his pocket and looked at Naruto.

"What?" Naruto asked impatiently.

"He's back." he simply said.

Naruto's eyes widened and so did Kakashi's. Yamato didn't know what was going on so he asked. "Who's back?"

Naruto's voice laced with a deadly low tone. "We'll see if it's him."

Naruto's usual stormy eyes were more clear blue like the sky. He walked swiftly in the pent house building leaving the three men to stand looking after him warily. They only have seen Naruto the angry once and it ended with an explosion and someone put in a coma.

"Sasuke Uchiha." Kakashi simply said following after Naruto.
