The three of them bid Sasuke good-bye and retraced their path until they met back up with Ryan, Lexi, Scott, and Nicole. The youngest sibling was holding up their recovered piece proudly. Kristin smiled as she held up their recovered fragment. “Awesome guys, what'd you have to do to get it?” She inquired as Nicole handed her the fragment. “He made me dance,” Ryan replied in a tone that suggested he was about to cry. Nicole blushed and leaned towards Kristin. “I'll tell you what else happened a little later. You'll never believe it,” she whispered. Kristin giggled. “You're not gonna believe this, but we had to get our fragment out of a jar of dude eggs.”
Lexi, Scott, Ryan, and Nicole burst into side-splitting laughter that lasted seemingly forever. Once they finally calmed down, Scott spoke up. “Alright guys, so what are we gonna do now?” “I say we take a break from all this necklace hunting and have some fun,” Kristin suggested. “By doing what?” Alanna inquired. Kristin shrugged. “Let's just wander around and do whatever.” Scott turned to Ryan. “Let's go throw some rocks at a dumpster.” “Sure!” Ryan squealed, as the two of them began to walk off.
Alanna's face turned slightly depressed. “I wish Neji was here.” Kristin smiled hopefully. “Maybe he can be.” She fitted the two new pieces to her necklace of the two previous pieces and held it in her hands. She closed her eyes and silently made a wish. A second later, a cloud of smoke appeared out of nowhere. Once it had faded, there stood Neji.
“Yay!” shrieked Alanna as she grabbed Neji in a bear hug. Kristin smiled. `Now, where should we go?” As if reading her mind, Lee turned to her. “I know of a cool place we could go, if nobody has preferences.” The sisters and Alanna shook their heads. “Lead the way.” The group of five followed Lee further down the road. After they'd walked for about ten minutes, an enormous hill overlooking a river came into view.
“It's so beautiful,” Nicole remarked as Lexi took hold of her arm. “Come on, Niki. Let's get closer to the river.” Nicole nodded as she allowed Lexi to drag her along. Neji took a look around. “Hey, I've been here before.” He turned to Alanna. “There's an amazing rock in the forest on the other side of this river. Let me show it to you.” Alanna smiled. “Sure, let's go.” Neji took her by the hand as they began to walk towards the river. Lee turned to Kristin. “There is quite a beautiful view at the top of the hill. Would you like to go up there with me?” Kristin nodded and they began to climb the hill.
Lexi and Nicole marveled at all the little fish and frogs they saw. “This is awesome,” Nicole remarked as she and Lexi took off their shoes. Lexi grinned mischievously. “I bet I can catch more creatures than you.” Nicole smirked. “You're on.” Both girls nodded before shooting off in opposite directions. Lexi cast rain prisons to contain whatever she caught, while Nicole created vine cages for hers. (She cast them under the water so that the animals wouldn't die) Once they'd both gone as far as they thought they should, they headed back. They collected the containers and came face to face. They counted their catches while they released the animals afterwards. “So how many did you get?” Lexi asked. Nicole smiled. “45!” Lexi smirked. “Too bad, I got 55.” Nicole frowned as Lexi gave her a hug. “Don't be sad. Let's explore some more.” Nicole nodded as she followed Lexi further down along the river.
Neji and Alanna had walked a little ways past the river and slightly into the forest. After another minute of walking, they stopped. “There it is,” Neji said as he pointed to the left. There laid an enormous rock protruding about ten feet into the air. They then walked up beside it. Alanna frowned. “It's awfully large, are we going to have to climb it?” Neji nodded. “You can't see what's special about it without being on top of it.” Alanna did some quick hand seals and grabbed his arm. They disappeared in a cloud of smoke, and reappeared on top of the rock.
The top of it was flat enough for the two of them to stand solidly on it, fortunately. Inscribed upon it was an intricate design bordered with a strange and unknown language. Alanna's gaze was glued to the inscriptions. “Wow, what does it mean?” Neji closed his eyes and recalled back on his memories. “I found this a few days ago and researched it. I discovered that the symbols spell the name of an ancient dragon that was sealed into the stone century's ago. They say if a powerful enough force is transferred to the inscriptions, the dragon will be revived for a short amount of time.”
Alanna grinned. “Let's revive him, then.” She placed her palms over the design, with Neji following suit. They transferred large amounts of chakra into the stone, and within minutes it started to shake. They leapt off as the stone began to crack. A cloud of smoke issued from the stone as several exploding sounds were heard. Once the smoke had cleared, there stood a 12ft dragon. Its silver scales glistened in sunlight. It raised its proud head and turned to look at the ones who had revived him.
“Masters, you have given me your power, now I give you my service. My limit is thirty minutes, due to the seal placed on me, but I will do what ever you ask of me.” Its voice sounded male with a mystical flow to it. The two ninja were stunned. Neji gazed questioningly at Alanna. “What would you like to do?” She pondered over it for a second. “Let's just go for a ride and see the sites.” Neji nodded, as the two of them turned back to the dragon. “Would it be alright if we just rode around on you?” Neji inquired. The dragon nodded and lowered his neck. The two of them hopped on and took hold of his neck. (Neji held on to the neck, while Alanna held on to Neji) “Everyone secured?” The dragon asked. “Yes,” they answered in unison. “Here we go.” The dragon stretched his wings out, and then gave a mighty flap. They were sent several feet upwards. Within seconds, they could see for thousands of miles.
Alanna gasped at the view. “This is amazing!” Neji smiled softly. “Well, I couldn't have done it without you. I've tried to revive the dragon before, but I would always run out of chakra. But with your chakra combined with mine, it was easy. You must be quite strong.” Alanna's face grew crimson. “Don't be so modest. I can't be any stronger than you.” She then turned her gaze to the sky. “It's so beautiful up here.” Neji let go of the dragon's neck with one arm and wrapped it around her shoulders. “But not as beautiful as you.” She grew a darker shade of red as he pulled her close and pressed his lips to hers. She, half expecting this, kissed him back. What lasted only minutes, felt like forever for the two of them.
Lee and Kristin finally reached the top of the hill. “Wow, what a climb. This hill is huge!” Kristin exclaimed. She slumped down for a grateful rest. The hill was considerably large, but its steepness was what was so tiring about climbing it. The hill gave a killer view of the Great Faces of Konoha's heroes as well as the bordering deserts. Lee sat down beside her. He cautiously inched his arm around her; not sure how she'd react. She didn't feel like shrugging him off, so she remained still. “You were right Lee, this is a gorgeous view.” Lee smiled. “Wait for the sun set, that is when the view is perfect.” She gazed at the sun as it slowly began to drift from the sky.
She suddenly sighed heavily. “Lee, I don't want to go home.” Lee looked surprised. “Oh, you are not from around here. I forgot. Well, we will make your time here last.” Kristin smiled sadly. “But I want to stay here forever.” Lee gently pulled her close. “You do not have to leave unless you want to.” She smiled as the sun reached the halfway point. The sky swam with brilliant shades of purple, yellow, and orange. “How could I leave this? How could I leave you?” Lee turned to her. “You do not have to. If anyone objects, they will have to deal with me.” She smiled softly as she leaned towards him. `I can't hide my obsession forever.' She pressed her lips to his as he wrapped his other arm around her. He kissed her back as the light faded away to nothingness. Their several minutes seemed to last a lifetime.
