Okay a little heads up, while writing this I read through chapter 306, 307, and I think 308 of the manga. Mind you there are spoilers ahead so heed that warning. Also I used a bit of the dialogue from those chapters, as well as explaining what everyone was doing, such as glances and facial expressions. I know I’m very unoriginal but meh. It’s my first Naruto fic and attempt at using a song in the story. This is a crummy response to Jenny-poo’s request for a SakSas fic. I don’t know if I am going to just leave this as it is or continue on with more chapters. I had originally written this in a notebook (9 pages!!!! .__.) the other day because my mother confiscated my laptop (treacherous wench). Yeah I think I went off topic, well out of POV lol I don’t really like how I went about this but I’ll let Jenny be the judge of that. “Foolish Games” is sung by Jewel

Take Me With You


Even though she had declared her love to him, and begged him to stay, he would not. Not even when she asked him to take her with him.

‘I will become a missing nin if it means I can stay with you…’


You took your coat off
And stood in the rain,
Your always crazy like that


She didn’t want to be lonely, she knew he understood that feeling- to loose everyone you love. But why wouldn’t he see? For her, he was the most precious and loved person.


And I watched from my window
Always felt I was outside, looking in on you


Still he would not take her. She watched his back silently for a few moments, until he vanished and she felt his warm presence behind her.

“Thank you.” Her eyes widened at the sincerity in his voice, before she felt him hit her in the back of her neck.

Everything went black.


Your always the mysterious one
With dark eyes and careless hair,
You were fashionably sensitive
But too cool to care.
You stood in my doorway, with nothing to say
Besides some comment on the weather.


It had been three years since that night he left her on that stupid bench, as he went on alone in his search for power.

Sakura had found her own means to gain power, with some training from the Godime, she found it within herself.


Well in case you failed to notice,
In case you failed to see,


She had defeated Sasori of the Red Sand, a member of the deadly Akitsuki. And that was why he left looking for power, so that he may also defeat one of it’s members. His older brother Itachi, who slaughtered all the Uchiha aside from Sasuke and himself.

If Sasuke had not left, and he could see now how strong she had become with her own power, would he be proud of her accomplishments? Would he treat her not as the defenceless Sakura he knew, but as one who could hold her own in battle?
She was not watching his back as he and Naruto protected her anymore. No, now she was looking at him in the eyes- as an equal.


This is my heart bleeding before you,
This is me down on my knees.
And these foolish games are tearing me apart
And your thoughtless words are breaking my heart,


The had been chasing after Sai in Orochimaru’s lair.

“Found you.” The pink haired kunoichi said as she ran at the boy filling in as the fourth member of team Kakashi. She grabbed him by the throat as he turned his gaze to her.

“You!! What the hell are you after?! How many times do you plan to stab us in the back before you’re happy?!” She yelled at him as she maintained her firm grip.

“Ah, it’s Sakura..” She bristled as her eyes grew wide at the sound of that voice, it had been nearly three years since she last heard it.

‘That voice…’ She thought as she turned to face it, her eyes growing wider and her hold around Sai’s throat was released completely.
Naruto and Captain Yamato had also heard the voice, both silent as Sakura stared up at the one she had been searching for.

“Sasuke…kun…”


You r breaking my heart.


The blonde’s brows furrowed as he bolted to catch up with Sai and Sakura, tripping once, then jumping to his feet he continued to run. He too stood and stared up at the dark and unreadable eyes that looked down on them.

“Sasuke…”

“And now Naruto. So you came too.” Sasuke stated as his dark eyes looked down at his old companions.

“Does that mean Kakashi is here as well?”

Yamato emerged from the cave and explained shortly Kakshi’s absence, and their goal to return to the village with Sasuke, as Sai removed his sword from its sheath.

“Sai I knew it!” Sakura yelled as all eyes turned to the Team Kakashi stand in.

Sasuke gave the group a bored look as he examined Sai.

“So he’s filling in for me then, is he? He was spouting some kind of nonsense about protecting the bonds between Naruto and me…” He gave a slight smirk. “One more pansy for the group, quite the fit I’m sure.”

Sakura looked at Sai confused.

“Huh?”

‘Sai, what exactly is he thinking?’ She watched him as he explained why he was disobeying his orders to assassinate Uchuiha Sasuke. To recover a feeling that was very important to him.

When he said that, Sasuke’s eyes looked to the side with a saddened expression.


Your always brilliant in the morning,
Smoking your cigarettes and talking over coffee.
Your philosophies on art, Baroque moved you
You loved Mozart and you’d speak softly of your loved ones,
As I clumsily strummed my guitar.


“Sakura and Naruto chase after you with so much passion,” Sai explained “to prevent the bonds they have with you from breaking… in order to keep them intact, they are doing everything they can…” Emerald and azure eyes looked solemn as he continued.

“I still don’t have a good understanding of it myself. But you Sasuke-kun, you should know why.” He finished not once removing his gaze from the missing nin standing above them.

“Sure, I did know. And that’s why I severed them.” Sakura and Naruto looked up at him with shocked faces.

‘Sasuke…why…’ Sakura couldn’t believe what he was saying.

“I have other bonds that I carry…” Sasuke continued as Naruto’s expression changed from shock to anger.

‘Sakura… you must understand…’ His mind pleaded as he watched the girl that had loved him since as long as he could remember.

“Fraternal bonds, forged through hate…” Images of the older Uchiha flashed through his mind. “All my other bonds caused me to lose focus and weakened my strongest wish, my greatest desire…”

Naruto bit his lip and looked down to the ground.

“If that’s true…” Sasuke’s bored expression faltered when he too remember that day that Naruto had come to stop him from going to Orochimaru.

“If that’s true, then why… Why didn’t you kill me back then?!?! Is that what you call severing bonds?! Sasuke?!” Naruto yelled in anger and Sasuke’s eyes gave away the sadness he was feeling.

“Naruto…” The pink haired kunoichi looked to her blonde friend frightened.


Well excuse me, guess I’ve mistaken you for somebody else
Somebody who gave a damn,
Somebody more like myself.


Sasuke closed his eyes as he explained.

“The reason is simple, and it wasn’t that I wasn’t able to sever my bonds with you…”

Images of Itachi once again appeared in his mind.

‘ “In order to acquire the Mangekyou Sharingan and defeat me, you must kill… your closest friend…”’

“I simply didn’t want to give him the pleasure of seeing me attain power by submitting to his plans!”

Naruto looked up in confusion. “What does that mean?!”

“I don’t need to tell you that. But back then, I chose to spare your life at nothing more than a whim of mine.”

Sakura and the others watched Sasuke’s and Naruto’s exchange.

“Sasuke..” She began.

But Sasuke was no longer on the cliff, he had suddenly appeared in front of Naruto, his left arm wrapped around Naruto’s front and resting on his shoulder, his right had rested on the purple rope tied around his hip.

“When did he..” Sakura looked in shock.

“Come to think of it, isn’t becoming Hokage one of your dreams? You would have been better off training than wasting your time chasing me around don’t you think, Naruto?”

‘You should have just stayed away dobe… became stronger to be the next Hokage… and take care of Sakura… not to bring me back into your lives…”

“Sasuke-kun…” Sakura’s eyes began to show signs of tearing.

“That’s why this time,” Sasuke said as he grasped the hilt of his katana. “Your going to lose your life, all at a whim of mine.” He continued as he unsheathed the blade and Naruto remained shocked and silent.


These foolish games are tearing me apart

Naruto’s eyes hardened as he continued to stare ahead.

“Like there is any chance someone, who cant even save a friend, could become Hokage. Don’t you think Sasuke?”

His reply was a grunt as Sasuke completely removed his sword and began to swing.

“Sasuke-kun!!” Sakura cried out as Sai rushed at the two boys and grabbed Sasuke by the wrist. Effectivly stopping him from bringing the blade down on Naruto. Sasuke smirked then threw Naruto above his head as Yamato began creating the hand seals for his jutsu.

“Chidori Nagashi” The chirping of chidori echoed around them as Sasuke’s body was engulfed in the lightning attack.

Sakura stepped back and shielded her eyes with her arm. ‘Chidori coming out of his entire body?!’ Her green eyes narrow as she looks on at Sasuke, who had blasted her three companions away with his attack.

‘ “Next time I’m going to help.” ’ She remembered saying to Naruto after he woke up in the hospital from his battle with the Uchiha.

‘I’m not the helpless little girl I used to be Sasuke…” She thought as she began to run at him, ready to let him have a taste of the power she obtained from training with Tsunade-sama. Sasuke turned his gaze to her intrigued.

‘Sakura… you are no match from me, your going to hurt yourself…”


Your breaking my heart


“Sasuke-kun! I’m going to stop you with my own power!” The kunoichi yelled to him as she ran at him ready to punch. But before she could reach him, Yamato jumped in front of her, taking the blow from Sasuke’s sword.

Sakura looked on as Sasuke returned to the cliff where they had found him. He was about to perform a jutsu, when Orochimaru appeared at his side. Kabuto, the silver haired medic-nin appeared at his other side.

“Sasuke-kun, you mustn’t use that jutsu yet. Besides, we need theme to take out the Akitsuki.” Sasuke glared at the medic nin as Orochimaru put a hand on his shoulder.

“Let’s go.” The Sannin said as the three vanished.

Emerald eyes welled up in tears as the girl punched the ground with the chakra she was going to use on Sasuke. Tremors and cracks formed in the ground and the girl sunk into the crater formed from her punch.

Onyx eyes trained on the girl as she sat in the crater, crying because of her own weakness. Her inability to still not be able to take him back.

‘I can’t go back Sakura… not yet. Not until I have killed my brother.’

His thoughts were interrupted by the medic nin.

“It is amazing how strong she has become in order to take you back eh Sasuke-kun?” She pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

“It was that power that defeated Sasori.” Sasuke turned to the nin beside him.

“Sakura was the one who killed him?!” His surprise obvious.

Kabuto smiled. “She had a little help from his grandmother, but yes, your little kunoichi has become quite the prize. Perhaps Orochimaru-sama would enjoy her company.” He sneered as he walked away, leaving a very angry Uchiha Sasuke glaring at his back.

Sakura stood up and sighed.

‘Sasuke, when will you see that everything I do, is so that I can be with you? Take me with you…’ She looked around sadly, then followed her team-mates back home to report the failed mission.

Okay So I don’t know if I am going to just leave this as is, or make a few more chapters… I don’t know if its good enough to continue or what, or what I may do with it. I kind of wrote it at nothing but a whim of mine. :P Anywho let me know what you think, if I should continue etc <3 <3
