A/N: Okay, I lied about the one-shot. I started to type it up and it sounded so stupid that I decided to just get rid of it all together. A reminder though, I skipped ahead to after the Wave Arc and before the Chunin Exams. Also, my OC team participated in the previous Chunin Exams and passed. So they are already Chunin. One last note, as I stated in the last chapter Shino won the pairing vote and this chapter will feature the first meeting between the two of them.

Team Four: The Untold Story

Chapter Four: Time Skip

“Wow, it's great to be back home!” I sighed as we approached the gates of Konoha.

“You can say that again. Who knew being Chunin would be so exhausting,” Alviss mumbled.

“Oh, come on guys! In two days you'll be complaining about how bored you are and how you wished the Hokage would give you an exciting mission.” Narumi teased.

“Not this time,” Genma said mysteriously.

“Huh? Why not?” Narumi asked.

“You'll find out tomorrow. Don't forget that it's your turn to give the mission report Alviss. (1) Ja!” With that our infuriating sensei poofed away.

“Well! How rude!” I huffed and started to stomp away, but I met with a warm, solid obstacle and began to fall. I clenched my eyes and prepared for an impact…that never came.

“Whoa! Nice catch Shino!”

“A-are you alright, Kari-chan?”

“Arf! Arf!”

I opened my eyes to see that my body had stopped falling at a 45 degree angle and was now being slowly brought back into its normal, upright position.

“I'm fine, Nata-chan. I have a question though. Why am I floating?” I wondered looking around wildly, causing most of the surrounding people to laugh.

“You're not floating. Shino-kun used his insects to stop your fall.” Kurenai-nee-chan stated before adding, “OH! That's right! Your team has been on so many missions lately that I haven't had the chance to introduce my team to you yet!”

“That right. Which one is Shino-san? I need to thank him.” I asked, eyeing the two boys standing beside Hinata-chan suspiciously. This caused Alviss and Narumi to roll their eyes.

“I am. My name is Abarame Shino (2).” The mysterious boy in glasses spoke up stoically.

“…” I stared intently at the trench-coat boy.

“He's creepy isn't he?” The cocky boy beside the puppy said.

“…” I began to mumble under my breath.

“What are you saying, Kari-chan?” Nee-chan asked.

“She's chanting, and I quote, `I am not a fangirl' end quote.” Alviss supplied, making Nee-chan's team blink stupidly for a minute.

“Argh! I can't take it anymore! Aniki, end it right now!” Knock me out before I do something embarrassing! I begged Alviss, only to be brushed off.

“No way! This is far too amusing!”

“A-ano…Kari-chan. Does this mean you l-like Shino-kun?” Hinata asked, flushing a deep red.

“I can't help it!” I wailed, “He's just soo cool looking!”

Shino silently stared at me while the other boy was rolling on the ground, laughing. Alviss and Nee-chan just sighed before Narumi spoke up.

“Demo…Kari-koi! I thought I was the only one!” He declared dramatically.

“I'm sorry Naru-chan, but-“I suddenly broke off my perfectly rehearsed response when someone hit Naru-chan and me on the head.

“Itai…What was that for!” I glared at Alviss.

“You're disturbing the new people with your charades. Plus your fake love act with Narumi is starting to get old.”

“You're just jealous because Naru-chan loves me more.” I taunted.

“Okay, you two. Simmer down.” Nee-chan interrupted as her students displayed varying degrees of laughter. Shino a silent smirk, Hinata a nervous chuckle, and the other boy full out roars.

“You!” I pointed abruptly at the dog boy, “Name, rank, and favorite color.”

To his credit the boy played along. He snapped to attention and responded, “Ibuzaki Kiba, Genin, Brown.”

“Brown, that's a weird favorite color”

“Well, you hair is a weird color so it's all good.” Kiba replied. (3)

“Hey Hinata.” Alviss asked. “Are you alright?”

This brought Hinata to the center of everyone's attention, which in turn made her blush even more. While she started stuttering I noticed that her eyes kept straying to somebody behind me. I glanced over and smirked evilly.

“Don't just look, Nata-chan!” I exclaimed surprising everyone (except Shino, who remained as stoic as ever). Hinata realized a second too late what I was going to do. By the time she had opened her mouth to protest, I had already grabbed a hold of her wrist. “Let's go say Hi! And you can introduce me to your crush.”

“W-wait! K-Kari-chan! No! Stop!”

Hinata's protests fell upon death ears as I drug her toward a team of Genins. I suspected the blond one was Naruto, Nata-chan's crush. Finally I was going to meet him!

“Hello! Is there a Naruto here?” I asked, looking around at the three Genins. I suspected their sensei was the masked-dude talking to Kurenai-nee. There was also another kid who was standing beside the masked-dude, but their back was to me so I couldn't tell if it was someone I knew.

“You better believe it! I'm Uzamaki Naruto! A way better ninja than Sasuke-teme!” The hyper-active blond glared at the moody boy.

“Don't bad mouth Sasuke-kun!” A pink-haired girl shouted.

“Ugh! Fangirl.” I shuddered. “Please spare me your presence and go update your shrine to your chosen object of worship with the underwear I'm sure you stole while out on your mission.” I said.

“The girl immediately blushed and ran off, clutching her backpack to her chest, leaving a disgusted looking emo boy and a shocked Naruto behind.

“Whoa, I didn't really think she had done something like that. You better keep an eye out Emo boy. She might rape you in your sleep one night.”

“Who are you?” Sasuke glared.

“Yuhi Kari, at your service,” I bowed. “I'm a friend of Hinata-chan here.” I stepped aside to reveal a blushing Hinata. “She wanted to welcome Naruto back from his mission so I came with her.”

“Hey, Hinata!” Naruto said.

“H-h-hi N-n-naruto-kun.” Hinata mumbled, tomato red had a new meaning.

“Hey Hinata-chan!” Alviss called from over by Nee-chan and the rest of the crowd we had left over there. “Your team is leaving for training.”

Hinata excused herself quickly, the rushed off after her team.

“Bye Shino-kun!” I yelled before turning back to the two boys. “Shit! I thought I could get her to confess!”

“Confess what?” Naruto asked.

“Hn. Baka.” Sasuke muttered.

“Oh! I just remembered something!” I interrupted before a fight could start, “Weren't you two the ones that kissed on the last Genin team assignment day for your class?”

“Don't remind me.” Sasuke groaned.

“So it's true! Ok…Sasuke! Truth or Dare?” I asked.

“Why?” He asked suspiciously.

“Answer or I'll tell Fangirl that you confessed your undying love for her after she left.” I threatened.

“Truth.” Sasuke quickly choose, looking panicked.

“Who's seme and who's uke?” I asked. When my question received blank looks I explained. “You know…Dominant or Submissive? Top or Bottom? Giver or Taker? Preparer or Prepared?”

“Do I want to know what you're talking about?” Alviss asked as he, Naru-chan, masked-dude and masked-kid approached.

“I just asked who the seme and uke was.” I said innocently.

“I think you broke them.” Narumi said, poking Naruto.

“Oh fine.” I sighed before shouting. “Naruto! Truth or Dare!”

“Dare?” Naruto answered hesitantly.

“Kiss. Sasuke.” I said evilly.

“Ignore her.” Narumi said to the ashen boys as Alviss covered my mouth. Narumi turned to me. “If you can control yourself we have a surprise for you.”

“I'll behave. I promise.” I said after I yanked Alviss's hand off of my mouth.

“The man is Hatake Kakashi, Team Seven's Jounin instructor. And the other person is someone you already know.”

“What do you mean? I don't kn-“I broke off as the person removed their mask. Then I squealed. “Haku-chan!”

Haku caught me as I launched myself at him.

“How are you? Why are you here?” I asked holding the slightly taller (yes, I'm short. Got a problem with it?) boy at arm's length. “Where's Zabuza?”

“Wait! You know each other?” Naruto interrupted, looking between the two of us. Earlier trauma forgotten.

“We met at the previous Chunin exams.” Alviss explained.

“Well!” I prompted Haku.

“I'm perfectly fine, thank you for your concern. As for Zabuza, perhaps we should discuss that later. I'm here thanks to Kakashi. He has talked to the Hokage and convinced him to make me a Konoha ninja.” Haku explained.

“Oh, Haku! That wonderful!” I hugged him again. “I know! If you have don't have anywhere else to stay, you can stay with us. I'm sure Nee-chan won't mind.”

“That would be wonderful. Thank you, Kari-chan.” Haku replied.

“Well then, we have to get going.” Narumi said.

“Why?” I asked.

“We're having dinner with Nee-san's team tonight, so we need to go get cleaned up. Haku, you're welcome to join us. You can go ahead and get settled in and then come to dinner with us.”

“I will. Thank you. Bye Naruto-kun, Sasuke-san, Kakashi-san.”

After exchanging good-byes we all went our separate ways. Who knew what tomorrow would bring.

A/N:

(1): Since they are Chunins now I figured that they would have to start taking care of some of the reports themselves.

(2): I am truly sorry if I spelt any names wrong in this chapter, but I'm too lazy to check the spelling. Sorry.

(3): I don't think I've mentioned it yet, but Kari looks like the picture on my profile. Alviss looks like Alviss from MÄR, and Narumi has Roxas's hair style with Sora's hair color (Kingdom Hearts for those who don't know) and he has deep purple eyes (like Momo from Prince of Tennis).
