Konoha(main gates)

 

 

 

Team Gai were in front of the village gates they were ready to begin their new mission.

 

“Lets go team the sooner we get to the village the better” Gai said in a cheery tone

 

“Yes Gai sensei” Lee said in the same cheery tone

 

(At least they are enthusiastic) TenTen thought

 

The team left the village and into the forest as they began they're journey to the village of their mission destination.

 

“Now at the pace were going is gonna take us three days to reach the village” Gai said

 

The three ninjas nodded as they continue to jump from one tree branch to another, after an hour they left the forest and were now traveling on an open road. They quicken their running as they continue on the open road but what they didn't know is that they were being watch. A few feet from team Gai were tow men hidden behind some bushes both of them were wearing black uniform one of them had a scarf around his neck one was a bald man and the other had a short ponytail and black hair.

 

“I wonder why they are in such a hurry?” the bald man said

 

“Isnt it obvious they must posses lots of money if they are in a hurry” the man with the pony tail said

 

“Lets get them” the bald man said

 

“Yeah “

 

Team were still running when Neji made the team stop

 

“What's wrong Neji?” TenTen said

 

Neji activated his byakugan” we have company”

 

The group turn around and saw the two bandits they both have an evil grin on their faces

 

“What's the hurry afraid that you might lose your money?” the bald bandit said

 

“Yeah you shouldn't be running in these parts you might regret it” the ponytail bandit said

 

“Great bandits” TenTen said

 

“You're picking a fight with wrong people” Neji said

 

“Forget it Neji we have no choice but to fight” Lee said

 

“Right now show us the power of your youth” Gai said taking his taijutsu stance along with Lee

 

The bald bandit gasp in shock” oh shit these guys are not ordinary travelers they are wearing leaf headbands”

 

The pony tail bandit gasp too” they….are…..ninjas…..from Konoha”

 

“And you two must be the raider bandits from hidden mist village you guys are c rank criminals and you two have quite a bounty on your heads” TenTen said while checking her black bingo book

 

The two raider bandits turned pale at hearing this and now knowing that they were facing ninjas from Konoha.

 

“Um……tell you what well leave you alone and well be on our way” the bald bandit said

 

“Yeah no hard feelings” the pony tail bandit said

 

Team Gai were giving them a serious look TenTen grin” sorry but no deal”:

 

(Uh oh) the bandits thought in unison

 

A few minutes later

 

The two bandits were unconscious and tied up

 

“Well should we take them back to the village?” Neji said

 

“No were already far from Konoha we should take them to the nearest town and collect our bounty” Gai said

 

“Great idea Gai sensei” Lee said

 

“We haven't completed our mission yet and were already going to get money” TenTen said

 

Team Gai took the two captive bandits with them and according to Gai they were going to left them at the nearest town and he was right. After thirty minutes they reach a small town they left the bandits to the authorities and collect they bounty which was a moderate prize. The team decided to leave the town and continue to reach their destination, an hour later they reach a small valley near a small river.

 

“We must be at the border of the fire country” Neji said

 

“We are al right team lets settle here for the night we already travel enough for the day” Gai said

 

“Ill prepare the traps” Neji said

 

“And Ill gather the firewood” Lee said

 

“Ill prepare the tent” Gai said

 

“Ill guess Ill find the food” TenTen said

 

The team spilt up to do their rightful duties, it only took five minutes for Gai to prepare the tent Neji return first with the preparations of the traps Lee then came with plenty of fire wood after a few more minutes the team prepare the fire and then a sighing TenTen return.

 

“Did you find any food TenTen?” Neji said

 

TenTen sweat dropped” n…..no I didn't sorry”

 

“Don't worry TenTen you did your best” Gai said giving her a thumbs up

 

“Yes TenTen doing your best always count” Lee said giving her thumbs up too

 

TenTen gave a small smile(at least those two are always in a positive mood)

 

“But what are we going to eat?” Neji said

 

“Oh don't worry Neji I may not have catch any food……but I did brought some home made lunches see” TenTen said taking out four lunch boxes from her backpack

 

“Yosh TenTen you made these for us” Lee said very happy

 

“Yes TenTen you're such a great youthful teammate” Gai said

 

Neji only nodded and smile

 

(Well I don't know about the youthful part) TenTen thought” anyway here…..I hope you all like it” she gave them the lunch boxes

 

“Thank you TenTen I will gladly eat this great meal” Lee said in a cheery tone

 

“Lets dig in” Gai said as he and Lee were the first to eat

 

TenTen looked carefully at her sensei and teammate as they pick up the chopsticks and eat her lunch which was shrimp and rice balls. And soon as Gai and Lee took the shrimp into their mouths, both of their faces turn green like they were ready to puke. Neji saw their expressions and then look at his lunch box and gulp.

 

TenTen sweat dropped” so how is it?” she said in a nervous tone

 

Gai and Lee try to swallow whatever they were swallowing and were able to answer the kunoichi.

 

“It taste unique TenTen” Gai said with his face green

 

“Yosh TenTen……I never……tasted anything like it” Lee said about to puke

 

“So Neji aren't you going to eat?” TenTen said

 

Neji tense at hearing this” TenTen I thank you for making this great meal I feel very honored that you took your time to make this meal however……..I don't feel hungry right now Ill eat it…..” Neji didn't finish a kunai right pass him and hit the near tree next to him he went pale

 

“Eat it dammit” TenTen growl while preparing to fire another kunai

 

The Hyuga took his chopsticks and eat the shrimp he immediately felt like throwing up he felt to the ground.

 

TenTen sighed(so it taste that bad) curiosity took over her as she pick her chopsticks and taste the shrimp and she almost feel like puking her face turn green(it taste horrible I wonder how the rice balls taste like?) she grab the rice ball and eat it her face turn from green to purple( it taste worst I knew I shouldn't cook)

 

Even as bad as it tasted Gai and Lee didn't wanted to hurt thei companion so they took the courage to continue to eat the abomination that TenTen made.

 

“Gai sensei Lee its la right you two don't have to eat I know it taste bad” TenTen said

 

“No TenTen were not letting this food go to waste” Gai said as he continue to eat

 

“Yes TenTen were gonna eat the food you make and besides it doesn't taste so bad” Lee said

 

(No it taste really bad) TenTen thought with a sweat dropped

 

Neji sweat dropped(I always knew Gai sensei and Lee were very brave)

 

TenTen was really amazed that Gai and Lee were able to eat the whole meal TenTen and Neji secretly threw away the other two lunches looks like they were going to sleep without eating. Night fell on the field and the team were now sleeping in their seeping bags Gai and Lee were sleeping like rocks but Neji and TenTen were having some trouble because of the birds that were chirping too loudly making the two ninjas very upset.

 

“Damn cut it out” TenTen mumble at the birds that were still chirping

 

“Its no use TenTen they are going to keep on chirping for a while” Neji said irritated at the chirping

 

TenTen try to cover herself completely with her sleeping bag so she couldn't hear anything Neji did the same but it was futile they could still hear the infernal chirping of the birds. TenTen had had enough she got up from her sleeping bag and face the chirping birds.

 

(DAMMIT CUT IT OUT BIRD BRAINS) TenTen thought angrily as she threw a bunch of kunais at the birds obviously as annoying as the birds were she only threw the kunais just to scared them away

 

TenTen smile seeing the birds flying away she finally got back in her sleeping bag

 

“Thanks TenTen” Neji said

 

“No problem” TenTen said as she close her eyes

 

The two finally closed their eyes but before they were able to drift to sleep the birds came back again and started chirping, Neji and TenTen gritted their teeth in anger knowing they wont be getting a good night sleep.

 

(Why me?) both thought in unison looks like this was gonna be a long LONG night

 

Morning came and the team woke up Gai and Lee were full of energy unlike Neji and TenTen both were very sleepy and not to mention hungry since both didn't eat TenTen's lunch.

 

“Ah yes another beautiful day don't you feel youthful and full of energy Lee?” Gai said

 

“Yes Gai sensei I feel very youthful and full energy” Lee said turning to Neji TenTen” Neji TenTen do you guys feel youthful and full of energy?”

 

“SHUT UP LEE” both shouted in unison

 

Lee and Gai were surprised by their sudden outburst

 

“Gai sensei what's wrong with them?” Lee said worry

 

“Hum they look tired” Gai said noticing their faces and eyes

 

TenTen sweat dropped” what was your first clue Gai sensei?”

 

Suddenly both Neji's and TenTen stomach started growling Lee and Gai sweat dropped at this.

 

“Looks like they are hungry too” Gai said

 

“But Neji TenTen didn't you guys eat your lunches from last night?” Lee said

 

“YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING IF I WAS GOING TO EAT THAT HORRIBLE PIECE OF CRAP” TenTen shouted in frustration

 

“But you made it” Lee said scared of her sudden reaction

 

“And I regret ever making it I was never the best when it comes down to cooking” TenTen said cranky

 

Neji sighed” please Gai sensei we haven't eaten and we didn't get any sleep last night”

 

Gai raise one of his large eyebrows” why is that?”

 

TenTen growl” Ill tell you why those stupid birds were chirping all night long and we didn't get any sleep I regret not killing them”

 

“Al right you two if you're hungry and tired it wont hurt if we go to a town and stay in a inn well use the money from the bounty of the bandits” Gai said

 

Both Neji and TenTen smile

 

“Thanks Gai sensei” TenTen said

 

“Al right lets go we don't know when the next town is so I hope you two can handle your hunger and tireness for a while” Gai said

 

“Yes lets go I see the next town is within ten miles” Neji said with his byakugan on

 

“Al right lets go” Lee said cheery

 

The team left and began to head to the next town and hopefully this time Neji and TenTen might have a good night sleep.
