Ch.1 Rock Lee's Little Sis
"Ow! Quit pulling Lee! I'm up, I'm up!" I shouted at my crazy older brother as he dragged me out of bed at 4 in the morning, as usual. Kicking him out of my room so I could get ready for the day, I sighed. I can't stand my older brother; he's always getting me up so we can train. I'm not even on his team! Not only that I never went to the academy to begin with, for as long as I can remember my idiot of an older brother has been dragging me around with him and teaching me everything he knows. You see it's not that I hate getting up at 4 A.M. every day, it's just the manner in which Lee gets me up that gets on my last nerve. But of course you'd probably be pissed off at getting dragged out of bed EVERY morning too, and I mean literally DRAGGED. The only reason I tolerate it is because there's not much I can do about it. You try hitting someone who can run 70 mph in the blink of an eye, let me tell ya it ain't easy, I've tried. I quickly got dressed and took care of everything I needed to before I left home. Lee was standing outside tapping his foot impatiently. "Hurry up, Kaminari, we are going to be late for training," he said grabbing my arm as I trudged over to him. "Remind me again why I let you torture me like this?" I asked. He didn't reply just took off dragging me with him; luckily he was going slowly enough for me to catch up with him. We reached the training ground and except for Lee's creepy sensei, Gai, no one else was there. "I knew we weren't going to be late, we never are," I sighed. Lee started talking to Gai about some move or something, I wasn't paying attention, and I never do. A few minutes later Tenten and Neji showed up, and they all started training. Yawning I tried to slip away while Lee was distracted. If I could manage it I might be able to get a few more hours of sleep in, and then clean the house and wander around the village. Unfortunately Lee was paying more attention than I thought; he darted in front of me and said, "Where do you think you're going? You have training to do just like the rest of us. It's good for you to train every day and prepare.Blah.Blah.Blah." I tuned out the rest of what he said and zoned out thinking of what I could do if I didn't have to put up with this every waking moment. Slowly I returned to reality as Lee was finishing up his monologue, "And so you should always train so you can be prepared for anything." Gai started clapping and was that a tear I saw in the corner of his eye? Then he started commending Lee on how youthful he was and how I should listen to my older brother and heed his advice. Sheesh, I'm surrounded by morons. Tenten and Neji had been sparing and ignored the whole thing. I turned to try and leave again and once again Lee stopped me, so rather than waste any more time and energy trying to escape this insanity, I gave in and started training.
Later training finally came to an end, at least for the time being. Gai ran into Kakashi and they started challenging each other as usual. So since it was around lunch time and Gai was preoccupied everyone split up to eat. Lee and I were heading over to the (stupid) curry shop since it was Lee's favorite place to eat. Just like everything else in my life I had no say in the matter, considering since I wasn't a ninja and Lee was he made the money. Meaning; his money, his choice of how to spend it, so to the curry shop it was.
Then all of a sudden I heard him say, "Hey, Pepper Head!" I froze, slowly turned and there he was, Naruto, the biggest village idiot I had ever met. I glared at him and noticed he wasn't alone. There was a strange girl with him, a traveler I guess, since she wasn't wearing any headband, at least, none that I could see, and I'd never seen her around before, and anyone who was dumb enough to hang out with Naruto must not know him.
