Ch.15 Controlling Fate

When I woke up I was in the hospital, you know it seems to be a reoccurring theme for ninja's, and me too I guess, that if you go out on a mission or get captured 85-95% of the time you wind up in the hospital, it's annoying! Looking around I heard a nurse coming in, right behind her was Tenten and Naruto, and they saw that I was awake and ran over to me for a moment joy flashed across their faces then it quickly changed to despair. "Kaminari-chan, you're awake," they said in unison,

"Why do you guys look so upset? Did something happen while I was out?"

"We- we have some bad news for you Kaminari-chan," Tenten said quietly.

"What?"

"It's about Bushy Brows and Kagami-chan," Naruto blurted, and Tenten hit him then picked up saying, "They're……..hurt, really badly and." Tenten stopped and started crying.

"The doctors don't know if they're going to live, HA I know Bushy Brows he'll make it just fine! These doctors don't know anything. And Kagami-chan is just as strong as he is so you know she'll pull through too," Naruto announced proudly. I jumped out of bed then fell back immediately. "Why…what's wrong with me?"

"The doctors said Kabuto must have poisoned you, so you'll be stuck in bed for a day or two so your body can readjust," Tenten managed to say coming over to sit next to me.

"What happened to Kagami-chan and my brother, Tenten? I need to know since I can't see them. I was unconscious when whatever happened to them did."

"Naruto?" Tenten asked him looking up.

"I'm not quite sure what happened Uh… I was unconscious too. Sorry," he said.

Great! I thought, I missed what happened and the only two people who do know are in a near death state!

Kicking Tenten and Naruto out of the room I contemplated what I should do for the next day or so until I could walk and try and see Kagami-chan and my brother. Just thinking about it made me cry. I curled up on my bed with my head on my knees and cried until I had cried myself dry. A nurse came in with some food and asked if I needed anything and if I was okay. I told her I was fine and wanted to know about what happened to Lee and Kagami-chan, if I could see them when I'm able to walk strait, and if they were going to be okay.

"Well, we don't know what happened to them, all of you were found and brought in by some Jonin who were having a meeting or something and had seen a flash of light from the forest. You might be able to see them in a couple days if the doctors are okay with it. And, well are you sure you want to hear this?" I nodded and she continued, "the doctors don't know if their condition will get better there's a……..63% chance they might…………die. And if they do get better we don't know what the damage will be, they both took a major shock to the heart it's amazing there still alive," she waited to see if I was going to be okay.

"Please-" my voice cracked. "Please…leave." She got the hint and left. I knew it was bad since Tenten was crying but, I can't believe it was that bad. I started crying again until I fell asleep.
