Dammit why did I have to blush when I said that? I wish I could have been one of those people who didn't blush when something like that happened.

 

I was taking the first watch the next night, but I have to confess that I spent more time looking at Sakura than I did watching for enemies. I will never tell anyone this but man she was so beautiful with her hair shining a golden pink in the full moon. I think in my heart that I always liked her but was too scared to tell her that. I almost wished that we weren't in the middle of the Chuunin exams because I really wanted to ask her out on a date. I doubt that she would say yes, I think she got over that crush she had on me.

 

Around dawn Sakura woke and I think that's when I noticed I was staring at her. She blushed when she noticed me. I scratched my head in embarrassment, I really wanted to ask her but maybe she would say no. I was hoping she would say yes but you never know.

 

“Um . . . hey Sakura?”

 

“Yeah what is it Sasuke?”

 

“Well . . . ah . . . um. well I was kind of hoping that um when we get out of here that you would kind of like to go on a date with me?” I said that last part really fast and blushed very red.

 

“Sasuke, do you mean it? Do you really mean it?” I shook my head dumbly. “ I would love to go on a date with you Sasuke. When do we want to do it?”

 

“Um . . . maybe around next week, Thursday, my place. That work for you?”

 

“Yeah that works, just don't tell Naruto otherwise he will flip his lid.”

 

“Yeah he would probably have a heart attack if he found out about it.”

 

We woke Naruto around nine in the morning and started to formulate a plan to get a scroll. We decided that we would steal one from one of the other rookie teams; otherwise we would have to rely on my sharingan to defeat one of the older teams.
