The sun rose over the hills, light slowly spreading over the rolling fields. A trio of young teenagers could be seen, making their way to a bustling town.
“Kami, I'm exhausted.” Came a complaint from the older boy, whose face was painted like a kabuki actor.
“Oh, shut up Kankuro. You barely did any work! I was the look out and Garra eliminated the target!” Said the blonde girl, annoyance flashing in her green eyes.
“Come on Temari, I helped.”
“You were the distraction!”
“Shut up, both of you.” Came a monotonous voice from the red headed boy, with the kanji on his forehead. His light green eyes narrowed as he glared at the beautiful sunrise with disdain and hate. The others fell quickly stopped bickering and fell silent. No one disobeyed and order from Garra, or they would find themselves dead. In absolute and uncomfortable silence, they made their way to the town.

Garras' eye twitched as his patience wore thin. He was walking behind a group of giggling high school girls,
“…can't believe Spirit was brave enough to dump him!”
Garra, Temari, and Kankuro stopped dead in their tracks. The elder two looked to each other, then to their younger companion.
“Garra,” started Temari, “you don't think they could mean…”
Garra nodded his head in affirmation.
“We're going to the school.”
“But Garra, the Kazekage said to return to the village without delay.”
“Shut up fool. I'm not his dog.” Garra's darkly outlined eyes were focused on the high school looming in the distance, and nothing was going to change his mind.

The bell rang loudly and students poured out of their classrooms into the hall, eager to get to their lockers, not so eager to get to their next class.
“Garra, how are we going to find her in this?” Kankuro complained loudly. There was a loud thud from behind the trio, followed by an audible gasp. The group turned to find a girl, no older that Garra, standing, shocked, her books by her feet.
“Garra?” she whispered, almost to quiet to hear. Without waiting for an answer, she stepped over her books and started to close the distance between them. Her huge turquoise eyes were filled with an array of emotions. Joy, confusion, sorrow. She reached out a tan arm to touch the kanji symbol. She hesitated when he flinched, but, when he showed no sign of resistance, pressed her fingers to his forehead.
“Spirit.” He whispered as he suddenly grabbed her, pulling her flush against his body, burying his face in her shoulder as his hands tangled in them in her lavender colored hair. The shock wore off in a few short moments and Spirit wound her arms around Garra's strong frame.
“What has happened to you?”
