Sakura was burning whether it was from rage or the sun on lookers could not tell and were not daring enough to ask. If asked however Sakura would explain in a very angry and annoyed tone that it was both.
Admittedly Sakura was a far cry from possessing the strength, stamina, and agility of either of her teammates, and in the hopes of catching up she had asked Kakashi for some extra training. He had agreed telling her to meet him early in the sunniest training field known to her, however him being punctuality impaired had arrived several hours (five to be exact) late to their appointed training session.
Said training session was quite brief and had not resulted in any learning, but it had resulted in some major sun damage to Sakura's pale skin and fuel for her fiery temper. She was certain she must have been cursed to have received Kakashi as her sensei. The man was notorious for his habitual lateness and it had burned her, literally.
So Sakura was now storming through the village streets on her way home to bath in aloe.
“What's got your brow in a bunch forehead?” Ino yelled to her as she stepped out of the flower shop. Sakura stopped immediately and marched over to her eager to vent her frustration at someone and Ino had made herself a prime target.
“I'll tell you what's got my brow in a bunch Ino pig! I just spent all morning waiting for Kakashi-sensei to train me. We agree to early morning, he shows up early afternoon and by that time my skin was burned to this lovely burgundy, and the training I did receive from him took the lesser half of an hour and was all about chakra control. Like I need help in chakra control!”
Ino, who was always good at fueling a fire, responded “That's too bad, especially about your skin it clashes horribly with your hair now you know.”
“No, I didn't. Guess it's too bad I wasn't gifted like you with color coordinated skin and hair.”
“Yea, it is. But don't worry too much about it, or your training. Kakashi probably had the right idea with the chakra control.”
“Why? I'm almost perfect.”
“Keyword almost.”
“That still doesn't excuse the fact he kept me waiting.”
“Please, you don't know how easy you have it. Why don't you try a whole team like that? I mean Chouji won't come out to train until he's finished with breakfast and with the way he eats that's usually around lunch. I'm lucky if Shikamaru is out of bed at noon, and who knows what Asuma-sensei is doing that keeps him from being on time. Probably off ogling Kurenai if I had to guess.”
“Really? None of them are on time?”
“It's like a contest to see who can show up the latest and I'm always the loser.”
Perhaps Sakura didn't have it so bad with Kakashi, she was still sunburned though.
