Chapter 1
Sweat. That's all there was to it. He sweated day in and day out, and all he had to show for it was sweat-drenched clothes. What kind of sane man wore a parka, while training, in 100+ degree weather, in a desert? He was tempted to tear off his clothes and run around like a wild man, but that wouldn't help his precious people any. “Stop moping about Naruto, your Taijutsu is still lacking” said a man standing in front of him. Naruto looked at the man. He was a tall man, about 6'6”, with long blonde hair, he wore a hitai-ite which had the kanji for youth, a black mask, sunglasses, black pants, and a dark blue jacket covered with red flames and had the Uchiha fan and Uzumaki Swirl on the back.
“I don't see you wearing a parka Dark Heart-teme” said Naruto. Right now he looked like Kiba, except his Parka was twice as thick
“It wouldn't do me much good,” said the Dark Heart, “my body adjusts to the temperature to rapidly for it to do anything except hamper my movements, at least until it rips and catches on fire from the friction.”
That immediately brought to Naruto's mind the image of the Dark heart on fire, and he would have snickered if he wasn't so damn hot
“Teme-Sensei, we've been at this for hours, can't we take a lunch break?” said the young man
“Fine, you can even take the parka off, but you have to do two laps around Suna, on your hands only.” said the taller man
“Ok teme-sensei” said the shorter man. When he removed his parka you could see why the girls of Suna hounded him. He was a good size for his people, about 5'9”, his hair was kept short and wild as always, he wore a Konoha Hitai-Ite, plain black pants, and a black muscle shirt with the Kanji for Fox on the back.
Naruto opened his boxed lunch and low and behold, inside was a miniature Chuck Norris eating a tuna fish sandwich (just kidding!). But seriously, what do expect is in their?
“Ramen!” yelled out Naruto
“Hmm… I got Limp Bizkets in mine.” Said Dark Heart
“How do you get limp biscuits?” said Naruto, who was giving DH a confused look.
“You wouldn't understand even if I explained” aid DH
“Ok, suit your self” Naruto said just before he broke out his chop sticks and began slurping down ramen
A half-hour later Naruto was back in his parka.
“Lets hurry up” said Naruto
“O.K. this form is called Tien-Hsueh Touch Mastery, the progenitor of Jyuuken. It is excellent for disabling opponents without hurting them, or even killing a man with a single touch.” said DH
“Do I need to wear this Parka? I mean, a soft form doesn't really require this kind of training, does it?”
“Probably not, so I guess you can take it off.”
“YIPPEE!!!” yelled Naruto
“Don't get cocky. Tien-Hsueh is one of the most difficult techniques to learn. It took me two weeks with the help of my Eternal Eye to learn it.”
“Eep!? Two weeks? But that means it will take a whole year for me to learn!” screeched Naruto
“Eep!? Two weeks? But that means it will take a whole year for me to learn!” screeched Naruto
“Don't get your panties in a bunch. With me as your teacher it should only take 3 months. Now let's get to work!” said DH
“Ok Teme-Sensei” said Naruto
2 months, 29 days later
“Ok Teme-Sensei, what is the last technique?” said Naruto
“It's a simple technique. It's called Dim Mak, the death touch, or delayed death blow, depending on how you look at it.” Said DH
“How does it work?”
“Quite simple really. All you do is invert your chakra like when you use the Void Jutsus I taught you, then push it into your opponent with a touch.”
“Oh, so it's like the Void Dagger Jutsu?”
“Yep, but it's better for assassinations, and can't be traced.”
Later that day
“You did good today Naruto. The Dim Mak is actually supposed to be far more difficult to perform than the Rasengan.” said DH
“But if it was so difficult, how did I learn it in one day?” said Naruto
“Simple. All of the special techniques of Tien-Hsueh focus on pushing chakra into the opponent's body in key points. The Dim Mak is difficult because normally people don't know how to invert their chakra. But since the Void Dagger Jutsu and Chakra Repression Jutsu require you to invert your chakra, you already know how to do that. So all you really needed to do was learn to insert a small amount of chakra that would eat away at your opponent's chakra, and eventually put him in a permanent state of chakra exhaustion, that if untreated would lead to death.”
“How do I treat it then? I mean, what if I use it on someone, and then find out that they were a good guy?”
“Well… I would guess a constant influx of chakra could delay it, and a sudden influx of a large amount of chakra in the afflicted point could negate it. But you could always touch the afflicted point and remove your chakra.”
“Well that doesn't sound to useful. I mean, if all you have to do is insert chakra to the afflicted point then it doesn't really help if your opponent has a competent medic ninja.”
“Well first you would have to insert at least twice as much chakra as was used for the Dim Mak. But most importantly, inverted chakra can't be detected except by the Byaakugan, the Takingan, my Eternal Eye, and by a ninja trained in Chigakure.”
“Well, I guess it's more useful then, but still…” Naruto looked doubtful.
“Don't worry. Unless you plan on assassinating Leaf Villagers or cause trouble in Chigakure, your not really going to have much to worry about.”
“But still…” he still looked doubtful.
“No buts. I don't teach you worthless techniques. Now it's time to head back. I have it on good authority that there is going to Miso Ramen with dinner ^_^” Naruto eyes brightened at the mention of ramen.
The next Day
“Well Naruto, there is but one technique left for me to teach you.” Said DH
“Just one? It must be powerful.” Naruto was hopeful as always.
“Well, it depends on how you look at it. It's a Forbidden Art, though, so you can't teach it to anyone.”
“A forbidden art? But that means…” Naruto looked crestfallen.
“I know, it is extremely difficult and possibly can kill you. In this case, it actually does.”
“WHAT!?” Naruto looked shocked. Before he could say anything more DH put his hand up in the stop sign.
“Don't worry, if the jutsu is successful you won't die.”
“But you just said…” Naruto looked confused
“Let me explain. This technique I'm going to teach you is the Forbidden Art: Void Style Reverse Time Phoenix Jutsu. What it does is immolate your body, thus killing you, and sending your soul back in time to a younger version of you. Kit is extremely difficult to perform more than once since you usually use it to go back before you were capable of performing it.”
“OH…” Naruto was wide eyed. “So this is how I'm supposed to protect my Precious People? Go back in time before they died and save them?”
“Not precisely. It is more complicated than that. You are in effect creating an identical reality where in you remember things that have yet to happen. You may know how to perform jutsus and will have the same skill level, but you would need to work on increasing your chakra, and would have to be careful with what you do so as not to raise suspicions. I mean, what good is going back in time if your actions cause a whole new course of events that shouldn't have happened? Things would workout differently if they thought you could tell the future and locked you up so as to gain insight, and then execute you when things don't turn out the way they wanted. Or what if they committed you to the Psych Ward in belief that you had gone crazy?”
Naruto looked bleakly at DH “So what use is it then? If I can't do anything to change the future, then how can I help my precious people?”
“I didn't say that. I said you have to be careful. For one, as long as you don't go to far a field, things should remain the same.” DH looked around cautiously. “First things first, I must explain what you should do. With this technique I want you to travel back to the night before the Gennin Exams. I want you to fail the exam so that Mizuki will tell you about the Hidden Leaf Scroll. Go to the Hokage and inform him of Mizuki but to not take any other action than to send an Anbu to the location to watch the events unfold. Then distract him as you steal the forbidden scroll. I don't care what you choose to learn, since it's mostly techniques that are either already known by you, or are seals, as long as you follow through with it like you did before. Once you deal with Mizuki, explain to Sarutobi the situation. Don't go to far a field during Kakashi's test, and don't reveal anything. Just take his bells and give them to Sakura and teme. When you go to the land waves explain to Zabusa that Gatou will betray him. Don't kill him or Haku. They will be of use. When you get to the bridge delay the fight as much as possible until Gatou's men arrive. Then join in their downfall. If done correctly you should get Haku and Zabusa as allies. When you all return to Konoha explain to Sarutobi the situation with Zabusa and Haku.” He stopped to take a drink of water from his canteen. “Then during the Chuunin exams when you meet Gaara tell him to have his sensei send a team of ninja to a small crater 13 miles south east of Suna. That is where the previous Kazekage and his bodyguards were slain. During the forest of death, attempt to prevent Orochimaru from placing the cursed seal on Sasuke, and failing that, use the Dim Mak on the seal. It will work perfectly to contain, and eventually remove, the cursed seal, along with a large amount of Orochimaru's chakra, since he's connected to the seal as it's power source. If everything goes according to plan we should have the sand as either an ally or as a neutral party. Then you must retrieve Tsunade after the attack by Oto. Then things should start falling into place.”
Naruto looked surprised “Whoa, how do you know so much about me?”
“It's my business as a Ninja to know. Now let's get to training.”
How did you like chapter one? This is my first attempt at WRITING a cohesive story. Usually I just think up stories to distract my self from my boredom, so it is a big leap to actually write a story. So please review?
I have no plans for pairings, though I lean towards Naru/Hina or Naru/Haku. Though I more than likely won't involve any pairings due to my lack of social skills and OOCness. As far as Haku, I might make him a Hermaphrodite, just to avoid switching between male and female, unless you all want him to keep switching from a flat chested boy to a girl with little bumps just to confuse people. A cousin of mine did something similar in a game of D&D where his male human became a female dwarf, then a gnome, then a male Halfling. It was funny as hell since it happened in the same sentence.
Note that the Takingan is from a story I partially read. I can't remember it's name, and if the author wishes it I will remove the reference. Remember, imitation is the greatest form of flattery, but plagiarism is a crime. If I'm plagiarizing then I'm sorry and am unaware of it.
The Chuck Norris bit was added to be light humor. Normally in my stories my main character does weird things like have his arm turn into Gary Coleman or randomly teleport. He may appear in this story, though unless you've been reading my mind or I've personally told you about him, you won't recognize him.
Which is cooler? A horde of mini-Lees pumping their fists yelling “Yosh!” or a horde of Orks screaming “WAAAAAAGH!!!!!!”?
So, until later… When your powers combine I am Captain Planet!
P.S.: The X rating is for when I do describe killing and maiming, and references to violent imagery. And please review a Sad Live Deserves More. It's a good story, and even though I am not the author, nor do I know him, I still like the story and want to see more.

Tien Hsueh: This is a real martial art. It is staggeringly similar to Jyuuken so I just had to have it. I read about it in Palladium's Ninjas and Super-Spies rule book. I will continue to use this book. The author of Half a Wing and a Prayer used the same book. Look for it under Ranma
