Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. If I did then there would be close to 50 supernatural beings walking around slaughtering sound ninja and drinking their blood.

 

Chapter 5

 

They had just received their first C-Class mission: Escort the bridge builder Tazuna to the Land of Waves. All they had to do was protect him from bandits and guard him until the bridge he was building was completed. Easy enough, right?

 

They had left Konoha two days ago. They were walking along a woodland path, passing the time, avoiding the puddle of water. Only two people took note of it. It was a while later when it happened. Two cloaked figures jumped out and used their chains to eviscerate Kakashi.
“Kakashi-Sensei!” screamed Sakura.

One of the ninja attacked Tazuna. He nearly hit with his chain when a shuriken knocked into a tree, and Sasuke proceeded to throw kunai between the links, lodging the chain the tree, then kicked the ninja in the chest, hard enough for the tension to snap the chain. Before he could do any more, though, Kakashi appeared and close-lined the ninja.

At the same time, Naruto immediately flew into action, pulling out a kunai and deflecting the chain headed for his head. He then moved in and, extending his fore and middle fingers and his thumb, plucked out his attackers left eye. Throwing it away, he then pulled out an explosive tag, slit open the ninja's stomach vertically, and inserted the chakra charged tag into his abdomen, then back flipping away. The explosion sent gore every where. Sakura screamed.

“Was that really necessary, Naruto?” asked Kakashi, wiping a piece of gore from his Hitai-Ite.

“Well, I could have done without plucking his eye out, but other then that, it was necessary.” Said a blood covered Naruto.

“I guess I'll only have this one to interrogate.”

“No need. From his actions I can deduce that Tazuna was their target”

“I have to agree with the Dobe. He attacked Tazuna over me or Sakura. And since Tazuna obviously isn't a ninja, that more or less indicates he was the target.”

Mean while, Tazuna and Sakura were both visibly shaken. Seeing someone blown up right in front you can do that.

“Come on Sakura, it wasn't that bad” said Kakashi, “I mean, Naruto could have done much worse.”

“B-but Kakashi-Sensei…”

“No buts. You're a ninja. These things happen. Though I must admit, that was a creative use for an explosive tag.”

“Thank you Kakashi-Sensei. Though I must admit, it leaves much to be desired. If these were normal clothes I would have to get rid of them.” Said the blonde

“If they were normal? Are your clothes special?”

“Yeah, they are made from water repellant, Carbon-Titanium weave. Good stuff, but expensive.”

“How could you afford them then?”

“They were a gift from a friend. Now let's get going. I don't really want to camp here.”

 

They had just made it to the Land of the Waves. It had been a long day.

“I need to go to the bathroom” said Naruto.

“Well hurry up, Dobe, we don't got all day” said Sasuke.

“Ok, teme” he replied, but the taping he was doing sent another message “I'm going to go meet our stalker. There is the chance we will avoid anymore fighting on this trip”

“Ok Naruto, just don't get yourself killed” Kakashi replied.

“Don't worry, I won't” was Naruto's response. Naruto headed back a ways out of ear shot. I know you're there Zabusa. You may as well come out and talk” he said. There was no reply. “Oh come now Zabusa. If I wanted to fight I would have attacked already. I know you're in that tree, on the third branch” Naruto pointed at the specific spot.

“You seem to be smarter than you look kid. Maybe you should abandon your team and come work for me” said a voice from the tree.

“Perhaps you should come work for me. I can build up your reputation so that your village demands you become Mizukage”

A man appeared in front of Naruto. “So what do you want kid? You obviously have a plan that will make sure you survive”

“All I want to do is talk. Nothing more. Fighting isn't the answer to everything, especially when we have similar goals.”

“What do you mean similar goals?”

“I want to be Hokage to protect my friends. You want to be Mizukage so as to put an end to the practices that deplete your ninja forces. Simple as that”

Zabusa was shocked “How do you know about that?”

“A friend of mine informed me before we took this mission. He informed me of a lot of things. Oh, Haku, there you are. Why don't come down and join us?”

A boy, a little older than Naruto, jumped out of the trees and landed next to Zabusa. “How did you know I was there? And how do you know my name?” he asked

“I have my ways. As for your name, my friend told me about you. You seemed to have had it as bad as me” the blonde replied

“As bad as you?”

“Yes. You were nearly killed by your father. I've been beaten since I was 4 years old by my home village, who are supposed to be the most tolerant of Villages”

“I see…”

“No matter. That is beside the point. I just wanted to let you know that Gatou will betray you. He is already hiring ronin and bandits to kill you as soon as you complete your mission.”

“And how would you know this?” asked Zabusa

“My friend told me. He gets around a lot. Perhaps you heard of him, The Dark Heart of Chigakure?”

Zabusa sputtered “You know the Dark Heart? What would he want with a runt like you?”

“Simple. I'm his student. To prove it I have the seal of the Nine Tails Mizuchi on my forehead.” He said as he removed his Hitai-Ite. There was no mistaking it; it was the Seal of Mizuchi of the Nine Tails.

Zabusa nearly fainted. Here was the student of the legendary Ninja of the Village Hidden in the Void standing right in front of him “If you're his student then why are you with those weaklings?”

“Simple. I'm a ninja of the Village Hidden in the Leaves. It is my duty to serve. Though I am undercover, since only the Hokage knows of my relationship with the Dark Heart”

“Relationship?”

“It is strictly Teacher-Student. He prefers not to sleep with children”

“Oh. I'm sorry… I didn't mean to intimate that you and him were together that way.”

“That's ok. I suggest you head back. Inform Gatou that you will attack in one week at the bridge. He will come with 200 roughnecks that he will sick on you when you complete your mission. I will help crush his minions, while you take him out. I better get back before they start looking for me. See yah!” he said as he walked off.

 

At the bridge, one week later.

 

“Where is everyone?” asked Tazuna

“I sent them home. I got a feeling that we're going to meet some bad characters today” said Kakashi.

“You are right, Kakashi Hatake” a said a voice out in the mist.

“So you must be Zabusa. Naruto told me of your little arrangement. Are you going to renege?” asked Kakashi

“I won't renege on him. The deal was I get sanctuary in return for pledging my loyalty to him. All I have to do is NOT betray my village.”

“Well that seems kind of hard, all things considered”

“Not really. The Mizukage betrayed the village, he betrayed my fellow ninja. I am just in exile”

“That is a positive outlook. How do you propose returning to your village then?”

“The kid said he would do EVERYTHING in his power to reveal the Mizukage's treachery.”

“You do know that Naruto has no such power?”

“Not yet, but I don't doubt that he will become Hokage.”

“Oh? Why is that?”

“That's for him to tell you, not me. Just know that I trust him more than I trust my instincts.”

“That's a lot coming from the Demon in the Mists”

“I know. Well I guess it's time to get this started. Gatou's goons should be here by now. Where is that kid? He said he was going to help.”

“I'm here. I didn't want to interrupt your dialogue.” Said a blonde haired kid coming out from the shadows.

“What is this Naruto? Are you such a Dobe that you conspire with the enemy?” said a dark haired kid, who was followed by a pink haired girl.

“Sasuke-Teme, I would never betray our village. We accepted this mission to protect Tazuna. And that's what I'm doing; I'm just not doing it with violence.”

“Then prove it”

“Fine then. Wind Style: Rising Mist Jutsu!” as he said that there was a gust of wind and the mist rose. At the far end of the bridge was nearly 200 thugs looking for a fight. Behind them was a short old man on a raised platform. “What the!?” he shouted.

“Let's go!” yelled Zabusa who began the hand signs for Water Dragon Jutsu. Kakashi was doing the same while Naruto was retracting both of his shirt sleeves.

“Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!” said Kakashi and Zabusa simultaneously. The twin water Dragons ripped through the front ranks.

Naruto had just bit both thumbs and was spreading blood on both arms. “Combined Art: Void Style: Karasu-Alucard Restrained Jackal Horde Jutsu!” Naruto performed the Tiger seal and aimed at the thugs. The two tattoos came together in a basket ball sized orb on his tiger seal then ten tendrils whipped out heading towards the hired killers. The tendrils then manifested as ten jackals, as he had summoned during the Bell Test. At least 60 were dead. That's when all hell broke loose. Zabusa pulled out his sword as Kakashi jumped in the air and began using the Kage no Shuriken Jutsu.

When Naruto called back his jackals he lowered his sleeves and began to charge. “Combined Art: Void-Shadow Style: Infinite Kage no Fuma Shuriken Jutsu!” he yelled as Fuma shuriken began to appear in his hands as he flung them. Each one he threw multiplied into three. They cut through the thugs' ranks like lawn mower through grass. When he got within striking distance he stopped summoning Fuma Shuriken and shouted out “Wind Style: Tenketsu Blade Tornado Jutsu!” he then began spinning while moving creating a mini tornado that picked up the Fuma Shuriken. Those caught within were dashed into the bridge, thrown to the sky, or torn into goblets of flesh by the Fuma Shuriken that were held within, strewing blood and gore across the bridge.

When Naruto began to get dizzy he stopped his jutsu, causing the Fuma Shuriken to fall to the ground as he then assumed a new stance with his knees bent, feet more than shoulders width apart, four wicked looking curved blades extending from his sleeves. It was the Dreaded Fu Chiao Pai - Tiger Claw Kung Fu. He began tearing through the remaining thugs with his makeshift claws, rending flesh with every stroke. It wasn't much of a fight. The thugs were expecting to kill to exhausted jounin and some worthless gennin. They weren't expecting to fight to Jounin at full power and a gennin who is as deadly as a Hunter Nin. The results were fairly predictable. It wasn't a fight… it was a massacre.

 

Week later, back in Konoha

 

When they got back Kakashi explained the situation and the Hokage granted Zabusa and Haku Asylum. Iruka was shocked to hear about how violent Naruto has become. It's not every day a gennin goes on a rampage and kills 132 people in a single fight.

 

 

So how about it? I always welcome reviews. They make me feel appreciated and useful. Please, for the love of Thor, please review. I managed to do the Land of Waves arc in a single chapter. That is to be expected since this Naruto, like the one in Dead Mans Stand, is supposed to gather allies in his fight against Oto and the Akatski. I'm not sure if the Land of wave's arc in that story was going to go this way, but now it would be that author who was plagiarizing… Just kidding. He could probably do it better than me. I relied upon Knowledge of the Dark Heart to get Zabusa on Naruto's side, and Haku's still alive. Until next time…

Benito Mussolini, and the Blue Meanie,

And Cowboy Curtis, and Jambi the Genie,

And Robocop, Terminator, Captain Kirk, and Darth Vader,

Lopan, Superman, every single power ranger,

Bill S. Preston, and Theodore Logan,

Spock, the Rock, Doc Oc, and Hulk Hogan

Came out of nowhere lightning fast

And kicked Chuck Norris in his Cowboy ass.

It was the bloodiest battle the world ever saw,

With civilians looking on in total awe.

 

The Fight raged on for a century,

Many lives were claimed, but eventually,

The champion stood, the rest saw there better,

Mr. Rogers in a Blood stained sweater!
