Naruto Fan Fiction ❯ The Hybrid ❯ Chapter 1

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Today was a bright, beautiful day. Local ninjas were out sparring, civilians were shopping, and the Hokage wasn't even up in his study, doing paperwork. He was sitting atop the Academy roof, along with a newly arrived white-haired ninja, waiting for a certain student to start classes. Then he would watch her. Study her. Assess her skills and talents. Make use of her as soon as possible. After all, she was supposedly the most promising person to ever go through the Academy. “Do you see her, Jiraiya?” The Hokage asked. “Hmm… She's over there.” He pointed to a location close to hers. “See? Sitting down on a bench. In the park. Long, flowy raven hair. Big brown eyes, rather short. How did you not see her?” Jiraiya replied teasingly. The Hokage twitched. “Oh, I don't know. I just wanted to see if you noticed where you student was.” He was a little frustrated with Jiraiya to begin with, and he had a really stressful day already. “ You like her mother. Am I correct? You do know that she is married to one of the finest ANBU we have? And HE is an Uchiha. You, stand no chance.” At this remark, Jiraiya just put his hands up and sighed. The two just watched her for a while. Besides, her classes didn't start until 9:00 am. It was only 8. Suddenly, Jiraiya jumped up. “ Wait. And, yes, I see them. Lets see how she handles, these two.” The Hokage was referring to the two chuunin approaching her. The other two came back, but she didn't even use a jutsu on them. “Sarutobi, we might have to step in to help. She could be getting tired. Besides, I want to hear what she says. So, I'm going. See ya!” And with that, Jiraiya was off. Running towards the girl with raven-colored hair. As soon as he left, Tsunade appeared, in a swirl of leaves. She greeted the Hokage with an arrogant “She did rather well” smile.

“Hey little girl. You. Are. In. Our. Spot. Can you move now?” Who does this guy think he is? Just coming up to me, and asking me to move. Geeze. I was here first. Wonder where Tsunade-sensei is? She's supposed to be here by now. Maybe the three other chuunin jumping me has something to do with this? I guess I`ll have to find out. “Hello in there?! Are you even listing? Little girl? Get a move on! This is OUR spot, and you are taking it up. LEAVE!” What a waste of time. He won't leave me alone, will he? I guess his girlfriend wont either. Oh well… “I'm sorry mister. I happen to be waiting for someone. I really wish I could help you out, but I can't. You see, my sensei will be very angry with me, and that's never a good thing. So, sorry. I can't leave.” At this statement, the chuunin almost exploded with implied anger. His girlfriend had to help contain him. She guessed losing an argument with a four year old hurt his ego a bit, but decided that this was his way to carry out the mission, and did nothing much to restrain him. “Fine. You seem to act tough. I'll fight you for this bench. Winner gets to sit here for the rest of the day. Only rule: there are no rules. Whaddya say? Scarred?” He chuckled at his imposing challenge. “No rules? Okay mister. I hope you know what you just got yourself into…” and she never had the chance to finish. He was starting to pull out a kunai so, instinctively, she kicked him back about 20 yards. This quick movement was almost beautiful.
She had an element of grace to her taijutsu. Her grace caught the attention of a nearby, silver-haired, masked student, on his way to the Academy. He stopped to watch the skirmish. She's fast. Was all that came to his mind. He decided that this could get interesting, and stayed to watch.

“What the…?” was all the chuunin could say. She truly was amazing. She dodged all his close-range attacks, and never gave out a punch of her own. This is when he decided to use jutsu, even if she was only four. I hope you will forgive me Hokage-sama. I have to bend the plan a bit. I'm sorry. ”Doton: Doryu Taiga!” The ground below him started to flow, like a river. This river of mud flowed towards his much younger opponent, extremely fast. But the one thing this purple-haired chuunin wasn't expecting, happened. His opponent, four years old, was walking on the river of mud. How this was even possible, was beyond him. The Hokage said she was good, really good, but not THIS good. That's why he took up the mission anyways. A good “sparring partner” for a normal B-rank commission. Now, expecting his opponent to go all out, he started to calculate the time he had, chakra left, her speed, and the other vitals needed to win the bout. Unfortunately for him, she was closing in fast, performing seals like it was nobody's business. “Kanashibari no Jutsu!” He was overcome with fear. He had heard of this technique, but had never seen it in use, let alone had it been used on him. Although, now he doubted that he was paralyzed with fear. After all, that was what the jutsu did, temporary paralysis. She was going to end it here, God he wished he had imposed some rules. No killing would have been nice. That seemed like a nice restriction now. He wondered why he even brought his girlfriend along. She must think he's a total pushover, losing to a four year old. Why isn't she helping me? No… s-she isn't…That's not her! His opponent must have seen the look of terror on his face. She stopped, centimeters from his nose, ready to strike. At this moment, this exact moment, he realized something. Something he should have seen earlier. Much earlier. She was an Uchiha. Her eyes no longer were the deep brown they once were, sparkling with eagerness at the start of this fight. They were red. Blood red. Two tomoe in each eye. He had heard of the greatness, the power, and the skill of the Uchiha clan. One of his best friends was of that clan. He stood no chance as soon as he used a jutsu. She must have copied them. My moves, maybe even that Kanashibari one too. But who did she copy it off of? This question was answered almost immediately. Jiraiya and Tsunade hopped down off the billboard, their “seats”. As soon as this happened, his opponent narrowed her eyes, deactivated her sharingan, and turned around to face the two new arrivals. Then she saw who they were, turned back around, and grabbed her opponents shoulder. “Who sent you? Answer me mister! You aren't the only one who fought me today! Who sent you?” She was definitely scary for a four-year old. Her eyes, sparkled with anger, and her aura was overpowering. He could only stutter a few fragments of words. She decided that he wouldn't talk, so she `suggested' with her sharingan, for him to answer her now. “Ho…Kag…e…” was all she got out of him. But this made her think about the Hokage's reasoning. He must be testing her. After all, he was on the Academy roof, watching her fight. She sighed, turned back around, and let go of her opponent. I better go along with this, so the Hokage doesn't know, I know. That… might be bad. She sighed again. “How did I do Jiraiya-sensei, Tsunade-sensei? Was I good?” Tsunade bent down to her level. “I think you did pretty well, Suki-chan.” She looked at her perverted teammate. “Do you think she passes?” “I don't know, you do know that she put too much chakra into that Kanashibari, see. Her opponent is still not moving, and it has been roughly, oh, 20 seconds. That would be about 17 seconds longer than it's supposed to go.” He looked at his student, and noticed how confused she looked. Yet she looked excited all the same. Then, he wondered if the chuunin was paralyzed out of fear too. Then he noticed that the purple-haired kid was starring in horror at his girlfriend who transformed into an ANBU with a bird-like mask on. “Hmm…” He looked up at the Hokage, who in turn, gave him a thumbs-up. “Yep. I'd say she passes. Congratulations!” And they started towards the Academy, but someone caught Suki's eye. A certain spectator, with silvery hair. She stayed behind to walk with him. He seemed like a decent person to be friends with. Besides, Suki didn't really have any friends; she was always busy training with Jiraiya, Tsunade, and her parents. “Hi. My name's Suki.” And thus started a new friendship, Suki's first, outside of her two sensei's.

: ) I finally posted here! I've had this fanfic in the works for a long time, but never had the time to transfer it to the computer. Yes, she did have both sennin training her. She is part of the Hyuuga and the Uchiha clans. I know it seems weird, but you guys will have to deal, for now. I figured that she could have the sharingan eyes at this age because they awaken when the user is put into a near-death situation. Since Jiraiya threw Naruto off a cliff, I figured that he could do the same to help my Suki. She might have a byakuugan, but that won't be until later on. There might be some… stuff… between Suki and Kakashi, but that is for later. Probably after they graduate from the Academy, and are Jonin. If you never knew, Kakashi was a Jonin at like, 13. Not that far off, since I don't like writing the two as kids. But, please review. I know most of you hate it when authors say “REVIEW” but fanfiction.net gets waaaay more people to review than mediaminer. I just want to know how this story is liked/disliked, and what I can do to make it better. Kay?

Later!!!
