A/N: Ok, well as I said in the last A/N, you will find out who/what Rokubi is in this chapter. I should also say here, and in a few of the next chapters, that for the Bijuu in this story I will be following Japanese Mythology. If you have read up on this, then you're probably thinking `What about the Eight-tails?' To answer this question, it is NOT who you think it is, and will be completely OC.

 

On with the story…

 

**

Chapter 5

**

“Naruto-sama, you should probably know. On the way back from Konoha, we took a detour to the Rock village on Baki-sensei's orders and I met an interesting person. You might know her better as Rokubi”

 

Naruto's eyes widened.

 

“WHAT! ARE YOU SERIOUS?” Naruto asked, clearly surprised that he had not only found 1 Jinchuuriki, but the location for another.

 

“Absolutely Naruto-sama. She was in considerably bad shape when I met her, but she seems to be fine now”

 

“Is she still there?”

 

“Yes, we can go now if you like?”

 

“That would be a good idea but…im out of money”

 

Gaara sweat-dropped. “You can't be serious. Look, ill bring some then. Oh, and don't worry, I wasn't the son of the Yondaime Kazekage and get around in rags” And to make a point, Gaara added a laugh.

 

“Uh, did you just…make a joke?” Naruto asked a little surprised.

 

“C'mon, lighten up. Lets get moving” And with that, they dashed out of the Sand, leaving an unconscious Temari and a seemingly unconscious Kankuro behind.

Later that day

**

For hours they were running, and neither spoke a word. On one hand, Naruto was glad to have the company. On the other, he wasn't sure of what to say. Then an idea popped into his head.

 

“First, stop for a sec” Naruto said, not even noticing he called Gaara `First'

 

“First? Is that some kind of code name?”

 

“Yes, it corresponds with the Bijuu we contain. I would rather not go around villages calling Missing-Nin by there names, it might give us a little unwanted attention”

 

“Alright, so I assume you're the Ninth, Ninth?” Gaara asked, surprised that the Naruto he knew could come up with a strategy before the fight had actually begun.

 

“Uh, yeah. Anyway, I have to give you something that will help you draw upon Shukaku's power without becoming fully possessed” And with that, he ripped open Gaara's vest and started channelling chakra for the seal.

 

When Gaara looked down, he started seeing the formation of a single, black tail that was slightly emitting a red colour. Naruto took his hand off Gaara's chest and looked up with a smile.

 

“I suggest not activating it yet, so we don't draw attention to ourselves. By now, the Sand will have learned of your defection and a squad of Sand shinobi will probably follow”

 

“That's great, but did you really have to rip my clothes?” Gaara said, pointing to his torn vest and shirt to emphasise his point”

 

Naruto just smiled before opening his travelling bag (A/N: Yes Naruto has supplies with him. I haven't mentioned this but I figured you would probably have guessed it lol) and pulling out a black robe, identical to his own.

 

“Well, this looks somewhat reminiscent to the robes Akatsuki wear” Gaara stated before taking of the damaged clothes and dressing himself in the robe he would surely be wearing for a long time to come.

 

“Well that is where I got the idea. Now, let us continue”

100m behind

**

A shadowy figure emerged from a shrub, staring at the 2 he had just seen. He sported a black robe with red clouds and had a head that looked surprisingly like a Venus-fly trap. One side of his body was white, whilst the other side was black. Zetsu began walking slowly, intrigued by what he saw on his was back from disposing of another body in the Sand village.

 

“Oh, now things are getting interesting. Master should be informed at once” And with that, Zetsu disappeared, leaving the footprints where he was standing moments ago.

With Naruto and Gaara

**

“So, you mentioned this other Jinchuuriki is a female, correct?” At Gaara's nod, Naruto continued “Well, what is she like?”

 

“To tell the truth, she was a little shy at first. Before I left I told her to loosen up a bit” Gaara said, before realising exactly what he said and how it must have sounded.

 

Naruto grinned. “This coming from the guy who used to killed people for recreation?”

 

“I still do. However, my recreation only includes people who I have a strong loathing for” And with that, Gaara gave Naruto a cold stare that would make even Kyuubi squeal.

 

“Yeah right Kit”

 

“You know, it's rude to listen to peoples thoughts” Naruto stated, annoyed that he had to put up with this continuously.

 

“I'd say, but it's also rude to have certain fantasies about people in your sleep” Kyuubi said before dropping to the ground laughing.

 

Naruto obviously understood what he was saying and so stopped talking to him, but it was rather hard to concentrate on the task at hand when you had a Greater demon laughing in your own head.

 

“So, do you space-out often?” Gaara asked, amused.

 

“Actually, I was talking to Kyuubi”

 

“Oh, what's he like?” Gaara questioned, having never talked to another Bijuu before.

 

“I could show you now if you'd like?”

 

“Uh, you know how to do that?”

 

Naruto smiled before starting his hand signs.

 

“Summoning Jutsu” And out of nowhere, a small, red fox with Nine tails appeared on the ground next to them, and with that they continued running.

 

“This form makes me feel so weak. I can't believe I have to subject myself to a mortal's request”

 

“Ninth, may I ask how you did that?”

 

Naruto was about to answer when Kyuubi interrupted. “I assume you want to bring Shukaku here right? Just ask him, if you know how, to let off some of his demonic aura and then channel it into a summoning”

 

“Of course, Kyuubi” Gaara said before bowing and began to try and converse with his demon.

 

`I don't know if you can hear me, but do as he says'

 

Gaara looked down and saw a yellow-ish glow encircling his body. Doing hand signs, he put a small amount of the demonic aura into the summoning.

 

“Summoning Jutsu”

 

Kyuubi smiled as he ran behind the cloud of smoke and could soon see the small body of a Raccoon/Dog coming out of it.

 

“KYUUBI”

 

“SHUKAKU”

 

Both Naruto and Gaara sweat-dropped. Is this what it was going to be like for all of the happy reunions that were soon to follow?

 

“Shukaku, don't you remember what happened the last time we met?” Kyuubi said with a hint of pride.

 

“Just because im the Ichibi and you're the Kyuubi doesn't mean I can't kick your ass!” Shukaku yelled as he leapt for Kyuubi, ready to kill.

 

“STOP! I assume you know what's going on. This whole plan is for your protection as much as it is for mine” Kyuubi said, getting angrier by the minute.

 

It was then that Naruto realised something. He could read Kyuubi's mind when he was summoned. This could prove useful for later.

 

“Fine, but if it were up to me, you would all be dead right now”

 

Shukaku turned to Gaara, and looked him straight in the eye.

 

“WHY THE HELL DID YOU HAVE TO TURN INTO A SAINT ON ME. YOUR PATHETIC” Shukaku yelled as he disappeared, leaving the trio to continue the journey across the Wind country border and on to the Stone Village.

Leaf Village, Hokage Tower

**

Shizune had just burst into the door and caught Tsunade, sleeping on the job. Waking her up, Tsunade came up with a sound, fool-proof reason as to why she was sleeping.

 

“Ha hahaha, I wasn't sleeping, I was resting my eyes for a new jutsu, hahaha” Tsunade said, rather lamely and Shizune just stared at her, wondering why she bothered.

 

“Tsunade-sama, Naruto has been seen in the Sand village earlier this day. We just received an urgent letter from the Sand high-ups explaining the details”

 

“Are you sure? Has he been captured?” Tsunade questioned, getting a little anxious for an answer.

 

“Im afraid not. And that's not the worst of it; Gaara of the Sand went with him”

 

“DAMN IT! GET ME TEAM 7 NOW. I WANT THEM HERE IN 30 MINUTES”

 

“Yes Hokage-sama”

35 minutes later

**

Team 7 was now standing in the Hokage's office, minus one jounin-sensei of course. It was then; the door opened revealing a pair of legs, attached to a torso and appeared to be attached to a little orange book.

 

Putting down the book, Kakashi smiled.

 

“Oh, sorry im late. You see, on my way to the door, I realised it was stuck. So I had to jump out the window and go get someone to fix it. They arrived and fixed the door, and I went back in the window and then went out the door. I got here as fast as I could”

 

“THAT'S THE WORST EXCUSE YET! THEY JUST GET LAMER AND LAMER” Sakura and Tsunade yelled, while Sasuke was leaning against the wall, trying to look cool.

 

“Idiot, we received a message from the Sand, they've spotted Naruto” It was then that Sakura decided to put her 2 cents worth in.

 

“What is that moron doing in the Sand Village? Sasuke-kun and I have been training days on end, and he's on vacation?”

 

“Well actually, Sakura, Naruto defected from the Leaf. I didn't want to send any ANBU after him, or I would be condemning him to death. However a few days ago, some of the ANBU that were guarding my office chased after him when they heard. I was sure he was dead, but we haven't heard anything from those 4 ANBU in almost a week”

 

“But, I sent Sasuke to tell Naruto about training. If he defected, then how did he get past my Sasuke-kun?”

 

Kakashi answered her. “Well you see Sakura, Naruto knocked Sasuke out on his way out of the Leaf”

 

Sakura was shocked and Sasuke let out something close to a growl.

 

“But Kakashi-sensei, there's no way that Naruto could beat my Sasuke-kun. He's the weakest of the Rookie Nine. I mean, it was obvious that beating Kiba was a fluke, everyone saw it. And with Neji, Naruto cheated. He used chakra that wasn't his, according to an ANBU in the crowd”

 

It was then that a certain white-haired Sannin jumped in the window and landed on Tsunade's desk, knocking all the papers that were there on the floor.

 

“Oh no. Jiraiya, look what you've done. Now I can't do any paper word until this is all fixed up” Tsunade said, trying to look shocked but was obviously glad.

 

“The person you knew as Naruto was nothing but a mask. The Naruto that Sasuke saw not one week ago was the real Naruto. I picked up on this when I was training with the kid” Jiraiya said, trying not to gloat but failing.

 

“Oh, well, that's interesting” Kakashi said, feigning interest.

 

“So, how strong is he?” Sasuke asked, now interested in the conversation.

 

“At a guess, with the fox's influence-”

 

“JIRAIYA” Tsunade yelled.

 

“-he could be anywhere from Jounin to my strength. But of course, this is just a guess”

 

Sasuke was beyond angry. How could the dobe get so strong? And what fox is he talking about? He was just about to storm out when Tsunade interrupted him.

 

“Kakashi will have the mission briefing written on a sealed scroll. I'd rather not say it here for risk of being overheard” It was then that a certain member of the Hyuuga clan leapt away from his spot on the outside of the building. Kakashi was about to give chase when Tsunade stopped him.

 

“There's no use. After the Sand sent that letter, the council would have no doubt been informed. That in turn would alert the heads of all the Leaf clans. I'll do what I can to stop any Leaf-nin being sent after him but I suggest you leave now and track him down. Do anything necessary to bring him back alive”

 

With that, a rather dull chorus of “Yes” followed.

 

“Dismissed”

A/N: Just so you all know, the Jinchuuriki will only be called there code-names when people are talking. For example, if Naruto is thinking of talking to Gaara, it will be `I really want to talk to Gaara, but I don't know what to say'. But when he is actually speaking to him, it will be `First, where are we going now'.

 

I hope that was explained well enough so that people understand.
