When I had awoken this morning I was sweating profusely. It was similar to what happens when waking up from nightmares but for some reason I think I woke up into the nightmare. I had a strange feeling. A bad feeling. It was in the pit of my gut. The kind of feeling an animal gets before an earthquake happens or a tsunami hits. I just knew something was going to go horribly wrong today. The truth is I was scared. Not for me. I haven't feared for myself in ages. I feared for Ino. The only reason I would get a feeling like this is if she was hurting bad. Or was about to be hurt bad. I've had a feeling like this before. It seems so distant now. It was one week before my father died. If this feeling wasn't bad enough Ino-chan had been acting strangely. She was keeping something in. A fool could tell. She never said anything about it so I figured she just wanted some space. That's why I really went to train with the Tamakis. I had wanted to tell her how I felt about her. How much I love her. I wanted to spill my heart into her arms. Whether she dropped it or embraced it hadn't mattered to me. But I was shaken by her attitude. I decided it was just something she had to come to terms with.

I had gathered all my ninja gear. My best ninja gear. My battle garb long black pants, long sleeve thin shirt both woven with metal to prevent tearing. I had my forehead protector tied neatly on my right thigh as always. There was nothing I could do to prevent what was happening. I could however fix it when it happened. I mentally and physically prepared myself for the coming conflict. I had made a promise and I will die keeping it. I took my katana and tied it firmly around my waist before I left for the final exam. I would be a second round combatant. It was expected for someone to chicken out of the first round. I would take their place if this happened.

I had entered the ever famed arena. I glanced around. Heh... It figures. Everyone but Naruto and Sasuke would show up to this thing. I mean hell even Shikamaru is here. The new curator I knew as Genma explained the rules. He began just in time too. If he'd have waited anymore he wouldn't have been able to be interrupted by Knoha's number one hyperactive fuck up. We all left for the combatants view box after Neji and Naruto headed for the ring. Naruto showed everyone his true strength. The strength of the Kyuubi and pounded Neji into the ground. (A/N Lets say for the sake of it Shino's and Kankaru's match it last.) Shikamaru defeated the wind mistress Temari. they had been putting Sasuke's match with the sand master off. It was quite annoying but alas most of the crowd came to see how the strong the last Uchiha was.

"I am sorry for any dissapointment folks but the match can no longer be put off. Rennik Ookami will be taking the place of Sasuke Uchiha." So Genma knew my whole name. He must have recognized it by the sword. Needless to say the change in the exam had drawn forth a lot of protests from the crowds. I wasn't too happy about it either. I had to go up against Gaara of the Desert and I still had a strange feeling creeping throughout my body. I stood staring down Gaara. Genma explained a few rules as we stared eachother down. I activated my blood limit. Genma put his hand in the air. My eye twitched.

"Now you weren't gonna start without me were you?" A Sasuke appeared and walked towards the fighters. I smiled.

"Rennik you still have the right to fight" Genma explained.

"I know but I wouldn't want to dissapoint the crowd or be the reason the Uchiha gets eliminated. I'll let Gaara do it for me." Truth it it was all talk. I was looking for any signs of what it was I was feeling all day. My eye caught something. A simple falling feather. Its smell. I glanced up immediately. There was a bird. A desert bird. I noticed it earlier. Birds don't hang around this long.... Somethings up. I returned to the combatants balcony. I was highly aware of my surroundings with howlingan activated and was actively watching for any sign of danger.

"Why'd you let Sasuke fight?"

I glanced questioningly at the blonde knuckle head. "Simple. I don't want to fight Gaara. I want to fight you." It was Naruto's turn to look at me questiongly. "I know you hold the Kyuubi within you. I want desperately to fight the Kyuubi. Even more so. I want to fight you."

Naruto's eyes lit up "YOU BET! I'M GONNA BE HOKAGE SOME DAY. BELIEVE IT!"

I chuckled. "I do Naruto I do."

"Come on me and Shikamaru are gonna see what everyone else is up to."

"Alright." Maybe if I look from more than one angle I can find the danger faster. We got to the others. Naruto began to talk but something wasn't right. *sniff sniff* What is that. I can't place my finge.. "EVERYONE GET....." DAMN. It was some dort of powder. I could feel myself drifting off. No I forced chakra through my body clearing the hypnosis from my veins. Now to work it out of my senses. I slowly one by one cleared out my senses. When I finally came too I saw Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru, and a mutt taking off. I stood up glancing around. Most everyone was asleep. I ran over to Ino and began bringing her and Chouji out of their sleep as well. As soon as I was done Kakashi was behind me.

"Rennik you need to take those two with you and escort the children to the safe zone. After your primary objective is complete you shall repel the invaders unless otherwise instructed."

"Understood sir." He took off and began taking down a few attackers. There was no time I took Ino and cradled her in my arm and took Chouji by the collar and took off in the direction of my objective. I saw two men in the street beating the crap out of a sand-nin. The Tamakis. Heh I could use their help. "Hey guys come on." They didn't ask a question but stuck behind me. Ino stirred in my arm.

"Rennik?"

"Its me Ino-chan"

"Whats going on."

"I'll explain to all of you when Chouji snaps out of it."

We were almost at our destination when the fat one stirred. I Let Ino and Chouji go. They follwed right behind me. "As of right now you are all under my command. Konaha is under attack by Suna. That may not be all but thats all the intel we have on our enemy. Their strength is unkown. Our number one objective right now is to escort the children to the safety zone. Once the objective is complete and secure we move onto objective two. Repel the invaders and protect the civilians understood?" From behind I heard them all confrim in one way or another. We made it to the children with no interference. "Iruka-sensei. We are here to help escort the children to the safety zone."

"Good. Lets move out then." We made our way through the secret paths. We easily made it to the safety zone. "Good job. I'll stay to protect them you guys go." We complied. We scouted around town. We caught sight of a group of sand-nin heading to the forest. I followed them with my companions close behind me. We caught them about one click into the forest.

"Look boys we have some friends."

I quietly explained my strategy to my team as the sand-nin orgainized themselves. "Tamakis take up the front and be the advanced force. Ino lay into them with your ranged abilities. Chouji keep them off Ino. I will be behind Haru and Kanaru providing backup support and healing." Everyone nodded as we executed the plan. Ino began hitting them with everything she had. The Tamakis and I closed the distance and began letting out savage barrages. I took a quick head count of our enemies. About eight. They were all low ranking Genin and Chunin. We managed to take down two of the genin in one combo evening the odds a little. Ino tagged one along with Chouji. I unsheathed my katana and went to work on a chunin ranked sand-nin. It was going well before I felt the presence off a genin behind me. I backed off of the chunin and parried a few attacks from the pair. The genin charged kunai in hand. He held it up to block my sword. Mistake. I cut through the kunai taking the genin's arm. My eyes locked onto the chunin's kunai that was traveling towards me. I sense another genin approaching from the left. I batted the kunai at him using my howlingan to calculate. It struck the surprised genin sending him tumbling forward. The chunin let loose a sand clone jutsu. They closed on me but I saw through the diversions. I moved faster than the eye could see and never let my eyes stray from the creator of the clones. I caught him by surprise taking him in half. The clones dissappeared. I turned only to find the Tamakis on the ground trying to crawl away from six sand jounin. Ino and Chouji were thrown to the ground next to them. One of the jounin pulled out a kunai and held it to Inos neck.

"Most impressive friend" he smiled looking at me than to Ino "Such a beautiful kunoichi. I think I will have a lot of fun with her before I slowly kill her." They laughed throwing her around.

"Don't you DARE hurt her." I growled no longer thinking anything sensible. "I will cut out your tongue and have it for dinner for saying those words." I became a blur again air ripping around me as I traveled. I jumped into the air bringing a downward slah to the jounin. He caught my sword at the hilt and punched me in the stomach sending me into a tree. I quickly hopped off the tree and entered a small fight with the two jounin in front of me. I managed to slash one across the face before getting sent into a tree again. They converged on me beating me severely. As long as Ino stays safe. They held me face in the dirt but at an angle so I could see Ino. One of the jounin started grabbing at her.

"Hows your little girlfriend now." They all laughed.

"YOU BASTARDS!" Somehow I summoned enough strength to throw the two jouinin holding onto me into nearby trees. I charged at the one intenet on hurting Ino. He struck forward. I poured all my speed on and came up behind him before he knew it happened. I nailed him in the back of the head launching him into the air before he could hit the ground. I proceded to pound him in the air rebounding off trees before he could regain himself. I struck again and again before five other jounin converged on me once again beating me severely.

"Rennik! What are you doing they'll kill you!" Ino screamed.

I was unable to move. I watched in horrow as they neared Ino. They grabbed at her and began ripping her clothes off. I started to fall into unconciousness. No this was something else. I was zoning out. Instincts taking over. It can't be. The stories were true. I need to save the secret. Its a last resort..... No... This is my last resort.

They are attempting to remove my skirt. I am so scared. Why can't anyone help me. Why me. Rennik I hope he isn't dead. I haven't admitted my feelings to him yet. I began crying. The tears rolled down my face. My thoughts were in no order and made no sense. Is this really how I'm going to die. Alone, cold, violated. A howl sounded in the background. The jounin stopped grabbing at me and turned to see Rennik standing. How can he keep going on like that? No there was something different about him. His eyes were completely black. He stared towards the sky and just howled. The jounin began to laugh.

"Look boys hes gonna stop us by making us laugh to death. Come on lets finish him once and for all." They began to walk over to my love. Soon from the treeline a large wolf appeared running towards Rennik. It's Buster. He jumped at his master colliding with him but dissappearing as he hit Rennik until Renniks body consumed him. Rennik stood to his full height.

"Now your really in for it. This is my last resort." Rennik laughed as all his wounds began to seal. His hair grew longer. His calves tore through his pants. Claws came off his heel. His face lengthened and fangs became visible as his face began to cover in fur. His ears perked up lengthiening and becoming furry. His hands and arms widened and claws his nails turned too claws. His chest puffed out tearing his shirt. He was now furry all over. (A/N: ya imagine a werewolf basically. If you have trouble with that watch Underworld. It awesome and how I came up with the ideas for this character besides watching Naruto.) He had merged with the wolf. He was now half himself and the other half was Buster. The jounin began to shake

"What kind of monster is he?!?!"

"Stand your ground hes still that kid." Oh how wrong they were. Two of the jounin fell to the ground after two snaps. It looked like Rennik hadn't moved. I knew better.

"WHAT?! NO WAY!" Rennik dissappeared. He reappeared behind the group slamming into them with all his beastial fury. He took another down with that assault. He turned to face the wrath of the three remaining jounin. They cut into the wolf man slicing and dicing away with their kunai. The wolf didn't budge. He threw them off himself grabbing two and snapping their necks. He then descended on the last one. The one who had been so intent on hurting her. He picked him up. Broke his jaw.

"I made a promise I intend to keep." He thrust his claws into the screaming Jounins mouth. He ripped out his tongue and devoured it. He then dug his claws into the mans stomache and proceded to disembowl him. The man died soon after. The wolf man turned and walked over to me. He dropped to his knees and the wolf left his body. It went on home but Rennik lay himself in my arms. He was heavily injured. Every cut they made on him stayed. He was bleeding badly. I felt tears cascade from my face.

"WHY RENNIK?!?!? why..."

"Because I love you Ino-chan." He said so bluntly that it knocked me off guard. I was so stunned I couldn't say anything. Sooo I didn't say anything. For quite some while.

"R-rennik we need to get you to the hospital.", I finally managed.

"But the sunset is so peaceful. Please..... Just hold me here a while." I did as I was requested. Because I love you Ino-chan was echoing through my head. He then slowly fell unconscious. I quickly dashed him to the hospital and got sent for the others that were with us when we were attacked. The hospital was so packed and available medics were tight because of the attack. The dead counted was catastrophic. I was so taken aback. Even Sakura was in the hospital for a time. Rennik was in some sort of a coma. His chances of coming out were high though. I decided to bring him one of my favorite flowers everyday. I felt like Sakura. I never left his side if I could help it. The effort to rebuild the city was harsh. Time passed by slowly but I still never wavered. He would wake up. He has to wake up. He can't die on me after what he confessed. He'll wake up any time now I reassured myself. Naruto had left with a wierd guy. Kakashi was being hospitalized for some weird damage and Sasuke had taken off in pursuit of Naruto for some reasons.

I went on everyday visiting Rennik helping the team around town. Most of it was repaired though the number of still hospitalized was great. I couldn't help it anymore. I can't let my feelings bottle up in me anymore. Its tearing me apart. I will tell him whether he can hear me or not.

I went to Rennik the next day and laid my head on his chest with my arms wrapped around him and spilled my heart out. "Rennik I've never been able to tell you before. I was so afraid I would be rejected. The truth is after my parents had to leave I was cautious of getting too close to anyone. I began distancing myself from the person I loved the most. In the end it hurt more than ever. My heart was falling to pieces." Tears now fell from my face as if it were raining. Slowly soaking Rennik's entire chest. “The truth is Rennik I don’t know if I’d ever be able to tell you to your face. What I would tell you. Well... I love you so much. I never want you to leave. I don’t want you to be so distant. Its not you. I know you better than that. Please come back Rennik. Please... I can’t handle someone else I love so much to leave.”

Something under me stirred. The breathing was not so rythmatic. I could hear a sniffle. “Ino-chan. I was dieing. I was falling into darkness. You saved me Ino. I.... I heard your voice. I heard your feelings. I felt your feelings. I thought I had died but none of that matters now Ino-chan. I’m back and I’m here to stay.” His hand brushed through my hair. That was so easy. There will be no more hurt. My heart is at peace and throbbing with joy. “Ino-chan. How long has it been since I fell into this coma?”

“Only about a week.”

“Wow we must still be tight for medics eh?”

Sniff “You can tell from here.”

“I can smell all the fresh blood. Not only that but I have minor wounds all over me. Stuff any medic-nin could easily heal. I am gonna try to get up ok Ino-love?”

Ino-love. “Ya ok” I reluctantly released my grip around him and stood up. Rennik sat up and made a hand sign. His hands glowed a little and all small cuts all over his body began to close.

“All those for me?” He questioned motioning over to the six flowers in the window-seal.

“Ya. I came everyday. I was so afraid of losing you.”

“I’m sorry you had to go through that again Ino-love” He sadly said getting up from the bed and pulling bandages off with no sign of wounds under. “Phew is Ichiraku’s still open?”

I couldn’t help but smile. “Ya they’re open”

“I’m beat. I could go for some real food other than this tube fed slop and I just insist you join me love.”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

“Wow..... I am wearing one of those hospital sheets. Not cool.... Umm please tell me you know where they put my clothes. I feel so violated.”

I couldn’t supress the laughter building up inside. “Ya I brought some two days ago. They’re under the bed. Sooo... I’ll leave you to it then.”

“Thanks love.. I’ll be out in a sec.”

I exited the room. I was soo warmed. We had found our place into eachothers hearts. Everything would be ok from now on.

I dressed myself. Hmm. I can’t believe how close I came to going off the deep end. Hnn. The things a man will do for the person he loves most and not only that she loves me right back. That feeling is gone now too. I realize what was going to happen. If I died she might’ve done something drastic. None of that matters anymore. I am gonna get some food in me. I am going to regain my chakra. I am going to soak up all the love I can and I am going to get these people out of this hospital. That’s the problem with med-nins these days. Instead of slowly healing people one at a time they try to heal everybody at the same time. I exited the room and took a few looks down the hall. Ino stood and waited while the hall had beds everywhere with shinobi and civilians alike with wounds and burns and any assortment of wounds one could thing of. Oh boy what fun.

“Wow bad damage. I’d hate to see the casualty rate.” I said wrapping my arm around Ino’s waist and bringing her close before heading to the ramen stand. She pressed her head back into my shoulder and leaned herself into me in the cutest little way.

“Rennik.”

“What is it love?”

“You are somewhat of a legend like Naruto so people may look at you weird.”

“Why am I a legend.”

“You see when you went unconcious I rushed you to the hospital and got Kakashi, Gai, and Genma to help bring the others back. At any rate they saw all the sand-nin you slaid.”

“We..”

“hmm??

&# 8220;We slaid. I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”

“But you took down all the jounin.”

“Nope. I would’ve never been able to do that. You did it. My passion for you was all that kept me going. I would’ve just fell over dead a while ago if I knew you weren’t in danger.”

“Awww. Rennikun. Your so sweet.”

“Thats how I roll.” I enjoyed our time together. I couldn’t help but ask. “What did Naruto do to become a legend?”

“He beat the living shit out of Gaara of the Desert.”

“Hnn I knew that kid had it in him. He’s probably one of the most dedicated retarded ninjas I’ve ever seen. He’ll go down in history.” We made it to Ichiraku’s. The outfit she had gotten for me had my medic-nin emblem on the right shoulder. “I’ll take the usual rough training day special.” It was something I had gotten quite often. I knew a lot about medicine and just what foods combined would help regain the most chakra as fast as possible. I was going to need it. “and what would you have love?”

“The veggie bowl please.”

I reached for my money I kept under the medic emblem in all my ninja outfits. The shopkeeper put the bowls on the counter. “No son you don’t have to pay you have a lot of work ahead of you and I can’t have our medic-nins malnoursihed.”

I chuckled “Really sir its not a problem. You could use the money a lot more than I could.”

“I said no and thats what its going to be”

“Look its not that much”

“Look your money is officially no good here. If you want to eat here you will eat for free or you won’t eat.” Phooey its no use arguing his point is not going to waver. He’s a good man.

“Alright fine but if you ever need help you better damn well ask me. Doctor’s orders.”

“Alright son, You’ve got yourself a deal.” We finished our meals relatively quickly.

“Phew that was delicious. Thank you sir.” I looked over to Ino-chan. “Hey love. I need to get to the hospital and the treatments I’ll probably be using on some of the injured might be...... Graphic so. If you want to come you can but it can be a real shocker.”

“I understand. Actually Shikamaru wanted to talk to me about something. I guess I should see what he wanted and give you some space to work”, She gave me a wonderful smile. We exited the ramen stand. I embraced her and gave her a kiss.

“Mmm first of many I should hope.” I said after our first kiss. She turned cherry red before going to find Shikamaru. I turned to the hospital. Great. A lovely day in the blood bank. I arrived at the hospital and went to the front desk where a completely swamped attendant was standing rushing through paperwork. “Hey hon you guys definately could use some help.”

She glared at me. “And who would you be.”

I glanced and saw a file on her desk with my name on it. I picked it up and threw it into the trash can. “Rennik Ookami is the name and I am fluent in many medical jutsus” I stated kind of angry with her tone taking a stack of files from her and walking off to administer treatment. The hospital was in chaos. They had no idea what was going on but at least they were organized enough to have the badly wounded patients in rooms and not in the halls. I made my way down the hall curing most of the patients and sending them to the front desk to check out. I came across the pink one. “Hey Sakura. Whats the damage?”

“Rennik right? Thank god I have been trying to get service for days. I have sharp chest pains and I’m almost sure my arm is shattered. It hurts so bad.”

“Lets see what I can do.” I placed a hand on her head and her arm. “Hmmm not to much. Some lung damage due. A few broken ribs.... A fractured wrist.” As I listed them I mended them and numbed her pains. “Good as new Sakura. Tell the arrogant lady at the desk the damages repaired and stay off that wrist for at least a week two prefferably and try not to do too many aerobic activities if at all possible.”

She smiled. “Your good.”

“I try.”

“Thank you so much.” she called walking down the hall. I cleared the rest of the hall before returning to the lobby and taking a break.

I must have fallen asleep because I was sweetly awakened by Ino-chan. “Rennikun. I brought you dinner and Shikamaru has a pain in his right leg if it wouldn’t be too much trouble.”

“For you love there is no trouble. Come on Nara.” I motioned for him to sit on the chair next to me. I placed both hands on his leg that I took into my lap. “Hmm. Howd you manage that little genious. You’ve got a shard of something on your leg. Small entry for something so large. Unless it been healed around.” I pulled out a kunai and guaze. “Your gonna fell a little.... Okay its gonna hurt a bit so brace yourself. I will numb as much as possible.” I dug the kunai into the wound with a heavy numbing jutsu on his leg. He grunted but I continued and opened the wound up. I reached in and pulled out the piece of kunai in his leg. I closed the wound behind it leaving no scar but a red line. “Here’s your little souvenir Shika.” I handed him the piece of bloody kunai wiping it and his leg off.

“What a drag.” Shikamaru mumbled taking the shard from my hand.

“You ok Rennikun?” Ino asked so sweetly my heart melted right there and then.

“I’m real beat love. I cleared the hall and cleared your friend Sakura out of here. Give me a sec and I’ll be back and we can leave. I’m too spent to help anyone else today.” I got up and moved to the desk where the lady sat completely relieved it seemed.

“Oh Rennik I am so sorry about earlier. I was in a bad mood from all the patients and straightening them out for the med-nins and doctors. You really helped a lot today.”

“No problem hon. Now I am gonna be back here tommorrow morning at seven sharp and I’d really appreciate it if you could set together the most urgent serious I might die tommorrow cases together and give me two nurses and we’ll see if we can stabilize them ok?”

“Yes no problem. I think your the only person here thats actually made an impact. We’ve been short of good medical officials since.... Ever.” She nodded already gathering files of bad patients.

I left her to her work and continued back to my sweety. “Love lets get out of here. Shika take it easy on that leg will ya?”

“How troublesome. Alright doc. See you tomorrow Ino.” He shrugged.

“Bye oniisan.” She waved as he left. “You realize hes going to be milking this so he can watch the clouds all day don’cha?”

“Heh Oniisan eh? Ya if I know that Nara thats all he’ll do. Its not an injury anymore just sensitive flesh so give him a hard poke in it if he bugs you. That’ll get him moving.” I smiled wrapping my arm around her waist before we continued off to my house. A few sand-nin tried to raid it but got caught by my traps and wolves. It was left alone after a while. We moved inside and I soaked in the tub. I was quite messy after all the work and even before that since the day of the final exam. Needless to say I smelled rank. I layed in the tub thinking about all that happened this morning and before I went into the coma. That Shikamaru ought to have made chunin. I dried myself off and got into some sweatpants not bothering with a shirt. I looked in the mirror. So many scars..... Damn crappy doctors. I turned the light off and made my way into the bedroom. Ino was already laying in bed. I crawled in behind her.

“I hope you don’t mind cuz I am gonna snuggle the shit out of you love.”

She giggled and turned over. “I wouldn’t let you sleep any other way.” She wrapped her arms around me and buried her face in my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and let myself drift off into one of the most comforting restful sleeps I’ve ever fallen too. When I had finally awaken it was six-thirty. I would’ve preffered to wake up sooner but than again. I never want to leave. I truned my attention to the beautiful blonde in my arms. I kissed her on the top of the head smiled. I hugged her real right anf rolled on top of her pretending I was asleep. She was supposed to meet with her team today so I took the liberty of waking her up. She was blushing profusely. I could tell by how she felt.

“R-rennikuuuuuuun.” She whined in a playful little tone.

“Oh well than. I didn’t see you there. I could’ve sworn I was dreaming.” I joked. I reolled off the bed and made my way to the closet. I picked out another one of my ninja outfits with a medical emblem attached and put the top on and the pants. I turned and Ino had made her way up behind me. She wraped her arms around me and gave me a kiss on the neck. She was about a full head shorter than me. I turned and planted a kiss right on her lips picking her up for a good minute before I let her back down and grabbed some quick breakfast. She followed after getting herself dressed. I smiled to her before walking down the hall and into my personal garden. Here I gathered every herb I could get without destorying the plants. I stuffed them in my pouch and walked to the back of the garden where a secret compartment was. Here I kept the rarest most beautiful flower. It was a yellow wolftail flower. It was a soft fuzzy flower that felt and looked just like a wolf’s tail ecept for the color was a beautiful yellow that was almost a perfect match for Ino’s hair. and gave off a heavenly scent that could overwhelm ones senses if they weren’t prepared. “I’ve found someone I can give you to” I whispered kissing the flower and watering it before I closed the compartment and left. Wolftails were almost extinct due to a simple fire that wiped what everyone thought to be all of them out. My family had always been able to keep one alive every year. I honored the tradition and I held the flower a little lower than my life but much lower than Ino’s life in importance. I was inexperienced and wasn’t good enough to cultivate the flower so they could grow wild again. I left the garden with my full pack. I met Ino on the way out and we embraced eachother giving eachother a loving kiss.

“Ino-love. Good luck today with your mission sweety.” I said before turning to the door and opening it for her and following her out. I looked at my watch. Six-fifty two. Way to go Rennik. “I’m sorry love I’ve ran a little over my time limit. She turned and gave a reassuring smile.

“Its ok Rennikun. I’ll probably be meeting to eat barbeque with the team at six. Want to join us?”

I gave her a warm smile. “I would love to. I’ll be there depending on how bad it is at the hospital.” I turned and jump off to the hospital easily attaching myself tot eh wall with chakra and bolting upward and over. I jumped across the roof tops and arrived at the hospital in record time. I walked in just as the clock turned seven. I did say seven sharp I smiled as walking in. There were three people standing at the desk going through a stack of files that made me gulp.

“Morning huns. Whats the damage today?” I flashed a genuine smile before taking so files in hand.

“Ookami sir. I got you the files you wanted and the nurses.” The clerk motioned to the two flanking me.

“You did good” I said looking through a few files. They were in order and everything. My first impression of her was terrbile but she made a good second impression. I patted her on the back “You did real good. And you look real tired so I think its real time you got out of here and get some rest. What goods a clerk who can’t think straight?” I gave her a reassuring smile as she left.

“Ok first things first we have a third degree burn victim in room one. I brought herbs from my personal garden and they should speed up his own recovery process after I do what I can.” I said walking down the hall. I entered the room and one of the nurses put a white coat on me and tied it. She handed me some gloves and a mask. “Mask won’t be neccessary hun” I pulled the gloves on and began removing bandages. Poor guy. He was covered in head to toe with these burns and he made it evident with his cries of pain. I crushed some herbs into some water and stirred it into a potion. I placed my hand over his head and chest. If I moved them the skin might come with. I hate burn treatments. They are the worse. I released a medium dose of my chakra into his blood letting the body carry it through the nerves and to the ones which were messed up. I healed the burns almost fully. “Ok friend take this and drink a swig everyday for the next few days. It will cool the body and boost your bodies regeneration rate. Come back in a weak and I will prevent any scarring. Ok?”

The patient was overjoyed. “Yes doc anything” He stood and moved to the closet. I left the file on the bed and took off to room two. The nurses were shocked.

After I had healed all the critical patients I moved onto the next worse and cleared out most of the rest. It wasn’t to bad of injuries. One was a shocker though. His entire stomach was pierced with a fang bite from the large snake whom attacked during the final exam. It was a clean wound though so it didn’t take much. I was about fifth from last when I saw it. Kakashi. Wow what did he do. I continued down the hall and entered his room. He glared at me in a lot of pain.

“Hang on Kakashi I’ll see whats the problem.” I placed a hand on his head and chest. Shit. “Kakashi you have damage that I’ve only seen in a few cases. Damage from a sharingan. Millions of cuts I can’t heal personally. I only know of one who could. That the Sanin Tsunade-sama. I’m sorry but hang in there.” He grunted and I left. I finished the rest of the cases when the last was Rock Lee.

I entered his room. “Hey Lee. How you feeling today man?”

“I feel like I can run a thousand laps around Konaha.” He said as he jumped up flashing his usual smile but I saw the pain.

“Look lemme see.” I took his leg in my hands. I moved my hand up to his back and pressed it against the spine. “oo Lee. Damn man its worse than I thought. You have extensive spinal damage that requires an operation I’ve never done and haven’t the authority or skill to pull off. No one short of Tsunade can help you. Thats the second time today I’ve said that and I am NOT happy about it. Just work on it and you should gain walking back soon. If you are in pain come to me any time. I can numb you.” I saw the disheartened face he bore.”

I left the room and looked toward the file carrying nurses hands.

She looked at me. “That was the last one Rennik sir.”

The other nurse. “Thank you so much. It was just her and I and the doctors gave up and left a while ago. Your a really great medical ninja.”

They looked terrible. they couldn’t have been sleeping more than an hour a day for the past week and it showed. “Look you two get some rest” I looked at my watch eight-ten. Damn I skipped right through lunch. I can still make dinner with Ino though. “I’ve got dinner I’m missing out on and so do you two so get to it. I want both of you to take two days off and call me if anything come up I won’t be back into the hospital otherwise. Doctors orders.” I smiled as I took off down the hall laying my bloodied lab coat on the desk smiling tot he clerk who was back and so relieved.

“Thank you Rennik and goodbye” She waved at me as I left. I rushed off to dinner and made it there by eight twelve. I walked in and took a seat right next to Ino acroos from Shika, Chouji and Asuma.

“Hope I’m not too late.” I smiled before laying back in the chair and staring at the ceiling for a bit. I must’ve drifted off for a little bit because I was awoken to the smell of sizzling meat. “Wow.” I picked up some chop sticks with one hand and wrapped my arm around Ino. I kissed her on the cheek and she leaned into me and laid her head back on my chest.

“How’d it go today Rennikun?”

Kami I loved the way she blended my name with the suffix as if it were one. The team was looking at us startled but Chouji began digging into the food. “I managed to clear out most of the hospital. Some will be recovering but there were a few cases I didn’t have the power to do anything on.”

Asuma looked at me “Kakashi?”

“Ya hes one of the cases. He has extreme internal scarring like he was cut for a hundred years. I know what did it though. Sharingan. I’m guessing Itachi.” His brow furrowed.” And by your expression I know I’m right.” I stroked my hand through Ino’s hair and fed her and I in a romantic way. The dinner was filled with Ino, Chouji and a little of Asuma and Shikamaru talking. I chimed in every now and then but I was too tired and happy to do much of anything else. When Chouji had eaten everything else on the table we had said our goodbyes and left toward the house. Shikamaru had stayed with us until the gate. He gave me the look like I need to talk to you. I looked to Ino “Hey love I’ll catch up to you in a minute.” As soon as she was out of ear shot I turned to the anxious looking man to my right. “Nara Shikamaru-san?”

He gave me a deep look. “See. I think of Ino as my sister. She’s the only girl I can stand to be around and love but I don’t see myself having a troublesome marriage with her. See she really loves you. Deeply and I really don’t want to see her hurting. So if you don’t mean this love for her than don’t go past this point with it.”

“Nara do not worry yourself. It’s not your style. I genuinely completely utterly love Ino-chan. If I ever hurt her I wouldn’t be able to live with myself. I’ve sworn a blood oath with the pack to never let anything happen to her if it should cost me my life. It almost has once.” I patted him on the shoulder and gazed into his eyes with the glint in mine saying go get some rest shes in good hands.

He immidiately relaxed. “Thanks for loving her Rennik. It can get troublesome at times.” He chuckled walking towards his house. I smiled and came to Ino’s side in the blink of an eye. She was a little startled by the grace and speed I possesed.

“I love you so much Ino-chan. I may seem distant but I feel like I can open up to you. So ask any question you want though some are likely to go unanswered and if they do. Then I don’t grace myself with an answer for them even.” I wrapped my arm around her and aswered her one question.

“Do you truly ultimately love me?”

“Yes Ino-chan. Its a dangerous love. I would let nothing short of the Kyuubi himself stand between me and you.” I slept well that night with her nestled in my arms. Very well as if a weight had been lifted off my chest.”
