Chapter 22

Naruto sat on his bed with Sasuke in his lap. Naruto slowly ran his fingers through Sasuke's hair. It had been almost 8 hours since they had gotten Sasuke back from Tex and now it was dark. Jeez had the blues ever heard of lights?

Sasuke had fallen asleep on the way back to base and had been sleeping ever since.

Sasuke whimpered and slowly opened his eyes. He felt Naruto against him and felt his fingers in his hair, it calmed him immediately.

Sasuke looked up at Naruto. Crystal blue eyes locked with midnight black ones.

Sasuke sniffed. He could still see the demon's features. The claws and fangs were still there, only shorter, and a slight tint of red lingered in his eyes.

He sniffed again and threw his arms around Naruto's neck and cried. “I didn't think you'd come for me!”

Naruto slowly rubbed small calming circles on Sasuke's back. “That's silly…I'd always come looking for you…I love you.”

Sasuke buried his head in Naruto's neck. “Really?”

“Yeah.”

Sasuke's eyes slid shut. “I love you too.” He mumbled before he was asleep again.

Naruto held him tightly. “I know you do……” he mumbled as he too fell asleep.
