I am new at this kind of thing, so bare with me and please rate and review. Constructive criticism accepted, burns are not accepted. I replaced Ino and Shino with my own characters
Oh, disclaimer: I don't own Naruto, if I did, I wouldn't be writing fanfics.

About three days before the attack of Kyuubi, The ten-tailed wolf Rakada rampaged through the valley leading to Konoha. An old man went to face it, for he had anticipated it's arrival. The biju and the old man fought for several days, until finally, the old man stunned the wolf and used a sealing jutsu to seal the wolf into his grandson. “I am sorry, my grandson, but this will stop the destruction of the village,” said the old man, and then he died.

He was walking with his parents, the joyful, five year old little boy who loved life and enjoyed to it's fullest. He loved to play with his friends and would soon be inducted into the Ninja Academy with them, which he looked forward to. They were walking on the outside of Konoha when a sharp noise went off around them. His father immediately grabbed a kunai and stood in front of his family, ready to defend them to the death if necessary. His mother grabbed a shuriken and told the boy to stay with her. Suddenly a Rock ninja appeared behind his father and savagely cut his father's throat. He whistled and about forty shuriken flew at the boy. He cringed and expected to feel pain, but none came. He opened his eyes to see his mother standing in front of him. He looked down to see a pool of blood around her.
“Mother…?” The boy asked.
“Live strong, my son, for I can no longer protect you…” she said softly.
“Mother, no, you can't die!” He said, tears streaming from his eyes.
“I love you…” She breathed and fell to the ground, no longer feeling pain. Just then ANBU arrived and drove off the attackers.

Raihza Takashi was never the same after that day.

Raihza Takashi was walking to the Academy, with a hard expression on his face, as usual. This was the final day at the Academy, but it brought no happiness to his face. He entered through the door, and went to find his seat. He did not notice that half the girls in the room brightened when he stepped in, his gorgeous black hair swinging in his face, his bright green eyes locking on some before going to his seat. There were often debates between who was cuter, Takashi or Sasuke. Takashi took his place to the right of one of his best friends, Hyuuga Hinata, one of the only three people who can put a smile on his face.
“Hello, Takashi-kun.” Hinata said in her shy voice.
“Hey Hinata.” He said, smiling at her. She smiled and went back to watching Naruto. Takashi sat back and watched as Naruto and Sasuke had their little confrontation. Then he laughed when Shikamaru bumped Naruto and made him kiss Sasuke. Then girls proceeded to kick the shit out of Naruto. Well, there's Naruto for you, thought Takashi. He then noticed a girl who was sitting to the right of him. He stared at her. Her name was Contoro Rizuki. He had a crush on her, and thought she was the most beautiful thing on the planet. She brushed a lock of brown hair out of her face as she stared at Sasuke. Of course, she was a Sasuke fan girl, and never paid any mind to Takashi.
“Attention, the final exam will begin now,” said Iruka, “The final test will be on the bunshin no jutsu.” Naruto groaned and put his head down. When Iruka called Kiba, Takashi whispered a “good luck,” to his friend.
“Raihza Takashi,” called Iruka. Takashi made his way down the way. He walked into the test room.
“Please do a bunshin.”
Screw that, thought Takashi, making an eerily familiar hand sign any Naruto fan would know. “Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!” he said. Ten perfect Takashi clones appeared.
“Umm, extra credit for you, Takashi,” said Iruka, clearly shocked that an Academy student could perform a Jounin level technique. Takashi nodded and walked out of the room.
“Did you do well?” asked Hinata.
“Well of course he did well!” said one of Takashi's fan girls. Hinata immediately went silent and looked down. Takashi glared at the girl, and then turned back to Hinata.
“I did fine, how about you?” he said.
“I did good as well, Takashi-kun.” She said. He then went to go get his headband, which he tore off the cloth and fashioned it as his belt buckle. When Takashi got home, he immediately ate dinner and went to bed.

When Takashi woke in the morning, he went to the training ground and trained all day just to get better at his basics. For help in his chakra control, he went and asked Sakura, who then tutored him all day because she was a fan of both Sasuke and Takashi. For a chakra increase, he made several shadow clones and fought them. For taijutsu, he went and sparred with his friend Rock Lee. When he came home, he was dead tired because Sakura had made him do exercises like tree climbing and paper cutting, from the clone fight, and from getting his ass handed to him by Lee. He immediately went to bed and said, “Tomorrow is a big day.” Then he went out like a lamp.

Takashi awoke with a headache. He first went to take a shower, and then had some bagels for breakfast. He got dressed and walked to the meeting for the Genin. He yawned and waved at Hinata and Kiba as he entered the room. Kiba turned and said to Naruto, “Naruto, what are you doing here? You have to pass the exams to get here.”
Naruto grinned. “I did, see?” he pointed to his headband. “That's right, I'm an official ninja, believe it!” Takashi chuckled at the look of surprise on Kiba's face, and the look of joy on Hinata's. She blushed. Iruka entered and began calling off names for teams. (Skipping the unimportant teams.) “Team 4! Haruno Sakura! Nara Shikamaru! Inuzaka Kiba! Your instructor, Sarutobi Asuma!” Kiba groaned because he wasn't with Takashi or Hinata. “Team 5! Hyuuga Hinata! Uzumaki Naruto! Akimichi Chouji! Your instructor, Hatake Kakashi!” Naruto shrugged, and Hinata blushed deeply. Chouji just munched on chips. “Team 6! Raihza Takashi! Contoro Rizuki! Uchiha Sasuke! Your instructor, Yuuhi Kurenei!”
“DAMN IT!” Takashi yelled, for being on Sasuke's team. Sasuke grimaced, for he and Takashi had been rivals ever since they could remember. They waited for their teacher, who immediately came.
“Let's go, come on!” she told them. They hurried out to the training grounds. “Now, before we do any training, we should tell each other about ourselves. Name, Likes, Dislikes, hobbies, dreams.” She said.
“My name is Raihza Takashi, I like to train, … a certain someone, sleeping, and beating Sasuke. I hate Sasuke, The rock village, and authority. My hobbies are training and creating new techniques, and my dreams are to avenge my mother's death and join the ANBU.” She looked at his file, which showed he had a bad grade because he skipped so much.
“My name is Contoro Rizuki, I like to channel chakra for the rush involved, and I like Sasuke. I hate Naruto because he is annoying, and eating too much. My hobbies are channeling chakra and doing chakra-building exercises. My dreams are to be like Tsunade, the great kunouchi,” she stated.
“Uchiha Sasuke, Don't like much, I hate a lot of things, and my hobbies are training and getting stronger. My dream is to kill a certain man.”
“My name is Yuuhi Kurenei, I like some things, and hate some things. My hobbies are my own, and so are my dreams,” she said.
“Well, that was about as useful as pie,” Takashi whispered.
“So, tomorrow, lets meet here to start with a survival exercise, say around 6:00. Don't eat anything, you might throw up,” she said, and vanished.
“Well, I'm off, see you guys tomorrow,” Takashi said, beginning to walk off. Rizuki followed Sasuke off the training grounds. On the home, Takashi ran into Naruto.
“Hey Naruto, what's up?” Takashi asked.
“Not much, our sensei was two hours late, so I just got off. Can I ask you something?” Naruto said.
“Umm, alright,” Takashi had an idea of what was going to be asked.
“Why does Hinata blush and touch her fingers together whenever I talk to her?”
Takashi chuckled. Boy, this guy really is dense. “Well, I'm not in the position to tell you, but I will give you a hint. Hinata blushes every time she looks at you, right?”
“Right,” said Naruto, confused.
“And you blush every time you look at Sakura, right?”
“Right.” He said, still confused.
“Well, how do you feel about Sakura?”
Naruto looked startled but answered anyway. “Well, I think she is really pretty, and smart. The only thing bad about her is she is obsessed with her precious `Sasuke-Kun.'”
“Can you see how you two relate?” Takashi smiled.
Naruto thought about it, than looked up, “Are you saying Hinata likes me?”
“I didn't say a thing,” he said, walking off.
As he did, he heard Naruto say, “Nah, that can't be it, it must be something else.” Takashi shook his head. How anyone can be so dense is past me, he thought. He was almost home when a man smashed him in the back of the head with his fist. Takashi fought to remain conscious.
“Give up your quest, Takashi,” the man said before running off. Takashi picked himself up. He went into his house, fell on his bed, and had terrible nightmares that night.

He woke up the next morning, his pounding head a reminder of what had happened the night before. “Damn.” He ate breakfast, and went out to the training ground. He found Rizuki there, but Sasuke and their sensei had not arrived yet. He greeted Rizuki, laid down, and fell to sleep. He awoke when Rizuki yelled, “Hello Sasuke-kun!” Sasuke and Kurenei had arrived. He jumped up, and the three Genin stood facing the woman. She looked at them and took out two bells.
“You have until the end of the day to get these from me. The two that get one will go on to be Genin, while the other one will go back to the academy for another year of training,” she explained.
Rizuki raised her hand. “Umm, sensei? We are supposed to be a three-man team, but if you send one back, then we will only be a two-man team. It doesn't make sense. I think it is more about teamwork.”
Kurenei sighed, “Yes, you are right, it is about teamwork, so even if you don't get any bells, if you display good teamwork, then you will pass. But the two that get the bells get lunch. Let's begin in three, two, one, GO!” The three Genin immediately ran and hid. Maybe a little surprised for her, thought Takashi. “Kage Bunshin no jutsu,” he whispered. Four clones appeared. He had one rush at Kurenei with a battle cry. She jumped back and watched it. The clone swept his leg to trip her, but she jumped and delivered a kick to the clone's chin and the clone poofed. He sent another out, and sent one to Sasuke and Rizuki, telling them to wait for the signal before attacking. He immediately began to change hiding places. He henge'd himself into a rock and scooted closer to Kurenei As she took down that clone with a roundhouse kick. The other two clones rushed at her and she took one down with a swift punch to the jaw. The other brushed the bell before she delivered a sidekick to its chest. He was close enough to her to grab one, and unHenge'd from a rock to Takashi. He yelled, “NOW!” and delivered a sickening punch to Kurenei's jaw. Kurenei poofed into a log. Damn, replacement jutsu. Takashi thought. She appeared in a tree, but failed to realize that Sasuke was right behind her until it was too late. He stole one bell before she pushed him away. He looked at the bell, and slipped into his pocket before starting a series of hand signs. Wait, that looks like a fire jutsu, Kurenei thought. Sasuke finished and said, “Katon- Fireball no Jutsu!” he projected a fireball from his mouth at her, just as Takashi threw a kunai to her right. She dodged to the left only to be confronted by Rizuki, who stole the last bell.
“Good, you all pass. I will meet you here tomorrow to begin missions. But Takashi does not get lunch.” She said, and left.
“Damn IT!!!”

So, that's it. I made up the whole ten-tailed wolf thing. I figured since, in Kakashi Gaiden the fourth was a new hokage, that the rock vs. leaf village was only about 13 to 14 years before the start of the series. Anyway, please review and tell me what you think.
