Once upon a time, there lived a fox spirit with nine tails. And he was so powerful that when he shook those tails, landslides and tsunamis would result. A brave shinobi managed to defeat the demon by sealing it in the body of a young boy. Having defeating the demon the brave shinobi died. The brave man was the forth Hokage, the fire shadow, champion of the village hidden in the leaves.

 

“Ha with this scroll I can learn the techniques to make me the next Hokage,” the blonde kid laughed while jumping from tree to tree. “Now where is the place master Mizuki said I could train?” he spotted a nice clearing. That will work he thought. He sat down and picked up the scroll of his back. “The first technique is the kage bushin no jutsu (shadow clones)… awww man clones already? That's my worst technique!”

 

It had taken him most of the night to master that technique. When he was done he was tired and sore. “Ok what's next” he said picking up the scroll again. “This looks like a genjutsu the art of Illusion. The kusstesu tomoshibi no jutsu. Man those are a lot of hand seals. Must be a cool move! Watch out Hokage here I come!

 

“I'm never going to learn this move!” he shouted angrily. It had taken him the rest of the night to get all of the hand seals correct. All he could do is lie there as he fought off the fatigue that threaten to consume him. Ok one more time he thought shakily rising to his feet. “Kusstesu tomoshibi no jutsu (bending light)”he yelled meshing his hands together to form the seals needed for the technique. The result was slow and disappointing. Instead of his whole body reflecting the light around him to make himself blend in to his surroundings like the scroll said should happen, a large cloud of smoke surrounded him. “Shit!” the blonde cried out angrily falling down on his back. `First I'll sleep then I'll practice the bending light' the boy thought as he fell asleep dreams of him beating the Hokage and becoming the best ninja ever blessed his sleep.

 

 

The demonic fox loomed over the village. Shinobi after shinobi jumped up just to be smacked down by the demon. Most never to rise back up again. Iruka was being dragged away from his parents. He watched as his mom jumped up releasing a huge blaze of fire out of her mouth. The Kyuubi was unharmed. It didn't even turn to face her as one of its giant tails struck her through the stomach. Iruka felt tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He wanted to go fight even if it was hopeless. All he could do was watch as his dad leaped at the fox with anger in his eyes. He too was struck down.

 

Reality hit Iruka fast. Both parents were gone. He was all alone.

 

A knock on the door broke Iruka out of his troubled sleep. He had another dream of his parents dying by the hands if the Kyuubi. Iruka stood up and walked over to the door rubbing his eyes sleepily. He opened the door to see Mizuki's panicked face. “What's up?” Iruka asked groggily

 

“Its Naruto, some how he's found out and stolen the secret manuscript!” Mizuki practically yelled. A mixture of fear and concern appeared over Iruka's face as he realized what that could mean for his favorite student.

 

“Quick we need to get the Hokage! Iruka desperately screamed.

 

“No that will only get him in trouble. We can handle it ourselves. Well split up.” Mizuki offered. Iruka didn't like the idea but knew there was no time to argue.

Naruto was exhausted. He used up all of his chakra and he still couldn't make himself invisible! Its almost morning. `At least with my new kage bushin I can prove that I am worthy to be a shinobi' Naruto thought as an idea hit him. `Maybe if I tear this out I don't have to carry the big scroll around with me!' Naruto did just that. He tore the first section and made his way home to store the scroll.

`Damn, I thought he would be in the forest'. Iruka thought standing in the exact clearing where Naruto had been. `Maybe he's at his house' Iruka thought disappearing in a puff of smoke.

 

 

 

“Man, this ramen is the best yet!” Naruto exclaimed taking a huge amount of ramen and stuffing it in his mouth. `And this is only my 4th bowl!' He thought happily. He looked down at his clothes. `Man these things are ruined I'll have to find something else to wear until I get some more ninja clothes.' Naruto settled for a plain black shirt and camouflage jeans.

 

Hiding the scroll had been easy. He just put it under his bed. `No one would look there' he thought. He had the torn out section in the bottom of his shuriken pocket on his leg. He kept toughing it just to make sure it hadn't fallen out.

 

“Found you Uzumaki Naruto.” Some nameless shinobi cried out. Naruto sighed.`Mizuki said that if a shinobi came looking for the scroll not to let them have it.' “Oiroke no Jutsu (Ninja Centerfold)” Naruto cried forming the seal for his original technique. The unnamed ninja flew out of the window with one hell of a nosebleed.

 

“Naruto!” a voice in his head rang stressed voice rang out. “Watch out!” Naruto turned to see ten kunai heading towards him. He managed to move out of the way of most of them but one got his arm. “Arg!!!!” Naruto cried in pain as he slumped to the floor of his room.

 

“Give me the scroll Naruto” Mizuki appeared on his window with a kunai knife in his hand.

 

“What! Come on! Why did you attack me!” Naruto asked. Mizuki didn't reply instead he calmly walked over and kicked Naruto in the side of the head. Naruto was sent flying until his head came in contact with the wall. “You want to know what really happened in the incident where the fox demon was sealed up twelve years ago?” he calmly asked still walking over to wear Naruto was lying covered in blood.

 

Naruto couldn't answer. His mind was too foggy. All he could hear were Mizuki's voice.

 

Mizuki knew he couldn't answer. Naruto's foggy eyes could tell him that he was still conscious but unable to respond so he kept talking. “Since then the people of our village were bound by the strictest decree.”

 

`Decree…?' Naruto thought `I don't remember any decree.'

 

“Though you shouldn't remember because no one was supposed to tell you. No one could tell you that you were…and still are the Kyuubi!” Mizuki paused allowing poor Naruto's fogged up brain to comprehend this. “In other words you are the nine tailed fox spirit that destroyed the village! Until at last our beloved forth Hokage gave his life to bind you…in this form. Didn't you think it was strange that people hated you wherever you went! If he were honest, even Iruka would admit that he hates you!”

 

`Everyone…hates me… even Iruka? Arg!!' Something snapped in Naruto. He suddenly had the energy to move. He jumped to his feet and shook off the dizziness.

 

 

“Naruto, I'll make you an offer. I know that if you read it will be meaningless I can show you what it really means! I could teach you how to harness its power and release the fox within you. With my help you can gain the power that you've hungered for.” Mizuki

 

The voice in Naruto's head told him to listen. He needed to take that offer and gain the power that he needed. Naruto tried to shake the feeling away. `This guy was evil' he chided himself. `He tried to kill me how can I trust him to train me'. But the voice wouldn't go away. It got stronger and stronger so strong that he didn't even realize he spoke.

 

“Ok I'll go with you.” Naruto whispered. “Train me and I will do anything for you.”

 

Mizuki smiled. `This might actually be interesting he thought. Lord kemuri might have a use for him.'

 

“Naruto!” Iruka appeared right in front of Naruto. The Kyuubi carrier seemed a little off to him. His blonde hair freed from the normal goggles now hung over his face hiding his eyes in shadows.

 

“Fox you said that you would do anything? Kill Iruka and I will teach you.” Mizuki said

 

`This couldn't be happening. Naruto wouldn't do anything like that. Would he?' Iruka hoped not. Naruto had drawn three shuriken in his hand before Iruka could tell what was happening. `He would.'

 

Iruka watched in horror as Naruto jumped into the air and released the shuriken.
