I am part of the elite, one in a long and illustrious line of tutors who have prepared countless candidates for a possible future as the future Hokage. I will crush any insect that dares cling to my student!

 

The dark dressed shinobi Ebisu was busy trying to find his student konohamaru. He had only been searching for a half an hour. Most of his time spent thinking about how he was going to crush the fox Naruto when he found him. He finally found his pupil talking to the fox Naruto.

 

Naruto still didn't like the boy that much. He seemed too clingy and wouldn't stop calling him chief. It was getting annoying but he respected him and his drive to be Hokage, even if he wouldn't be better than he would be. After arguing about who would become the new Hokage Naruto started to feel a little weird. It seemed like a small scratching in the back of his mind.

 

“There you are honored grandson.” Ebisu said appearing on a nearby tree in a puff of smoke. Naruto was soon on the receiving end of a horrible glare.

 

`Always that look that same ugly look from yet another person. There's always someone. `Naruto thought angrily. “And now honored grandson it is time to return home.” Ebisu said leaping from the tree to land gracefully on the ground.

 

“No way!!! Not yet!” konohamaru cried. Starting to gather chakra “First I have to kick the old man's butt and become the next Hokage! So get lost”

 

“You heard him loser,” Naruto added giving him a thumbs down.

 

“The revered Hokage knows and understands the eight principals that are the cornerstone of all knowledge of the shinobi: virtue, justice, ceremony, wisdom, loyalty, faithfulness, prudence, and filial piety” Ebisu ranted. “He is the master of over a thousand illusions and eh…?”

 

“Oiroke no Jutsu (Ninja Centerfold)” konohamaru exclaimed.

 

Ebisu just stood there his mouth on the floor and a small trickle of blood running down from his nose. He soon adjusted him self. “What a vulgar display not fit for a gentleman's eyes! But I will endure it.”

 

Ebisu walked over and grabbed konohamaru's scarf and started to drag him. “Honored grandson if you lower yourself to contort with creatures of this sort you will descend to his level. Only with my training will you be able to become the next Hokage.”

 

“Hey four eyes!” Ebisu stopped. “I'm going to be the next Hokage and I can I don't need some hentai teacher. Want to see something cool. I'll show you a totally knew move.”

 

Naruto clasped his hands together in the seal. `I hope this works' he thought. “Kage bushin (shadow clones)” about clones appeared at his side all poised to attack.

 

`There all flesh and blood not just some illusion maybe I underestimated the fox' Ebisu thought. “Hah! Child's play no match for a superior teacher like myself.” He bragged. “It would only fool a weak minded idiot like Mizuki”

 

All of the Narutos just snorted. “Hey four eyes do you ever stop talking I wasn't done yet. Haremu no Jutsu (Harem Jutsu)”

 

The Hokage sighed. He chose to watch how Naruto and konohamaru were getting along. He didn't expect him to do something like this. “He combined his kage bushin and the ninja centerfold. Once again his first resort is to use the most low trash.” `Though I would have done the same thing as Ebisu myself.'

 

Ebisu was now lying in a small pool of blood. He was propelled at least ten feet by his nosebleed.

 

Konohamaru was beyond annoyed. “I failed to beat failed to beat professor four eyes again!!! Right?” he yelled. “All I want is a name that everyone will respect! And I want it now right?”

 

Naruto's fisted connected with konohamaru's skull. “You think wanting it is all it takes? Dream on. If that would be true I would be Hokage already.” Naruto ignored the angry look konohamaru gave him.

 

“You're talking about the name Hokage! The greatest shinobi around, the name everybody respects” Naruto said. “My whole life has been one rotten thing after another! I even doubted myself. Only one person treats me with any kind of respect and even he was almost impossible to win over.”

 

Memories of his friend Iruka flashed through his mind. Him requesting the hitai-ate headband at the ramen stand. The test after test that he failed, even the fight with Mizuki. Even his most proud moment when kanji told him that he graduated.

 

“Are you ready to make a commitment?” Naruto asked.

 

“Commitment?”

 

“Everybody and I mean everybody has the highest respect for the name Hokage.” Naruto said grinning. “Don't you get it? There are no shortcuts”

 

“Where do you get off lecturing me? You're not so hot! Right?” konohamaru yelled. Starting to grin as well.

 

“I'm not going to be your disciple anymore.” Konohamaru said. “From this day on were going to be arch rivals!”

 

“Its your tough luck!” Naruto said. “I'll always be one step ahead of you one step closer in my destiny of being the finest shinobi but I look forward to fighting over the title of Hokage with you someday until then. Later!” Naruto said walking off.

 

The Hokage watched this all with a grin on his face. `Naruto is finally growing up he thought.'

 

Naruto was getting hungry. He hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was almost lunch. He decided to go down to his ramen stand and get some miso ramen. When got out of the forest and was entering the forest he saw a group of kids all circled around a fox. They were throwing rocks and kicking it.

 

“What the hell are you doing?” Naruto yelled.

 

One of the older kids answered. “That fox attacked us so were going to kill it! Get lost punk.”

 

Naruto walked right up and punched that kid in the face. “You probably deserved it punk. I'm a ninja so if any of you want to mess with me I'll take you all on.”

 

No response. Naruto reached down and picked the fox up. It was a brown fox with golden eyes. It had cuts all over his body and one of its legs was broken. Naruto took a piece of cloth and bandaged it. Naruto gave the kids one more glare before leaving.

 

The fox seemed to like him. It curled up in his arms and went to sleep in his arms in seconds. “Your just like me. We both are foxes in one way or another. I wonder if you like ramen.”

 

Naruto got more glares than normal as he strolled down the street caring the injured fox. He didn't care. `screw them. When I'm Hokage they will have to respect me.' He thought

 

He got to the ramen stand and took his normal seat. The owner greeted him with a kind smile. “Hello Naruto I see you brought a friend with you. Can I get you two anything?” he asked kindly. “Yeah! I want some miso ramen and some beef ramen and a small bowl of shrimp ramen.”

 

The owner nodded. “Coming right up.”

 

Naruto devoured his two bowls of ramen in a couple of minutes. It would have taken less time but he had to make sure that the fox didn't wake up. It was hard eating ramen while holding a fox. After eating he paid the owner and started off to his house.

 

He stopped when suddenly red hair was shoved in his face. “See?” An angry voice cried. “That stupid paint ruined my picture and my hair.”

 

Naruto flushed with embarrassment. “Gomen, I didn't think that would happen.” He offered lamely.

 

Ino stared at the fox for a minute. “You have a pet now? Maybe next time you should choose a dog.”

 

The fox growled softly. “Its not really my pet. Some kids were beating it so I took it away from them.”

 

Ino shook her head. “I hate kids like that.” She said. “I think that you should at least take care of it until that arm heals.” She said pointing to the bandaged limb. “I'm going to make sure it has an acceptable place to live.”

 

Naruto sighed. “I'm going to keep at my place. I think I can clear out a room just for it.”

 

The two walked in silence for a minute. Naruto found himself lazily scratching the fox's head. It gave a small growl in affection. “I think it likes you Naruto-kun” Ino said. “So what is its name?”

 

Naruto laughed. “I didn't think of it. I can't think of a good name how about naming it kitsune Naruto said.

 

Ino shrugged. “No that name is too simple. Naming a fox, fox? I mean come on how about Sayku?”

 

Naruto didn't like the name but the look in Ino's eyes said agree or die. “It sounds good Sayku it is.”

 

Sayku lifted his head almost as if recognizing his new name. It just yawned lazily and went back to sleep.

 

“So this is your place? Pretty crappy!” Ino said when they got there.

 

Naruto just shrugged it off. “Whatever lets just clean this room out for Sayku, I got to train after this.”

 

The cleaning took about half an hour. After that the two preteens said their goodbyes and when their separate ways. `She's not so bad for a stuck-up fool for Sasuke.'

 

“Hey kid.” Kanji's voice started Naruto out his thoughts.

 

“What do you want?” Naruto asked hotly.

 

“Don't ask me why but for some reason I want to train you.” He replied lazily

 

“Why?” Naruto asked.

 

“I said not to ask me!” kanji snapped. “You just seem like an interesting kid. I like how you saved that fox earlier.”

 

“You mean Sayku?” Naruto asked.

 

“You named it?”

 

“Ino-Chan made me.” Naruto replied.

 

“She your girlfriend?” kanji asked. Interest now taking place of boredom in his eyes.

 

“No! She's barley my friend.” Naruto replied quickly. Maybe a little too quickly?

 

Kanji shrugged boredom returning in his gaze. “So want me to train you or not. We have two days left before the teams are chosen.”

 

“Yes! Please train me kanji-sensei” Naruto screamed.

 

Kanji laughed. “Kanji-sensei, I like the sound of that. Lets start now. The first two things I want to do is increase your taijutsu, chakra control and you're critical thinking skills.”

 

“How?” Naruto asked.

 

Kanji smiled. “I have a jutsu that will come in handy for this sort of thing.” Kanji formed two seals and slammed his hand into Naruto's chest. Immediately Naruto slammed into the ground.

 

“What the hell was that?” Naruto yelled angrily. Kanji shrugged. “What! Fifty pounds of weight too much?” he asked.

 

“No I was just surprised. That's all. This is nothing but wouldn't this limit me in a fight?”

 

“A shinobi must adapt to changes fast or die.” Kanji simply stated. “Now the first exercise is tree climbing. Watch”

 

Kanji walked up to a tree and started climbing with out his hands, with his feet parallel to the ground. He got to the top of the tree and waved to naruto

 

“Wow! Naruto exclaimed. “That looks easy” jumping to his feet Naruto dragged himself to the tree. Put one foot on the tree. Moved the other foot and fell to the ground.

 

“What the heck?” Naruto exclaimed.

 

Kanji sighed. “You use chakra to hold your feet to the tree.”

 

“Ok I got it.” Naruto said. Concentrating on his feet he tried his right foot. The foot held to the tree for a couple of seconds before slipping down.

 

“What happened?” Naruto asked.

 

“You got excited and lost focus. But you made progress just try again.” Kanji said.

 

Naruto concreted and tried to lift his foot up to the tree. The fifty-pound weights made it hard for him to even lift his legs but he got the leg to stick. Slowly he lifted his left leg off of the ground and on to the tree. He did it!

 

Wham! Naruto fell right on the ground again. “Excited again.” Kanji simply stated. `Man this kid sucks… I got my work cut out for me with this time. And what the hell is up with that ugly jumpsuit' kanji thought in disgust.

 

“Hey answer my question don't just stare at me!” Naruto's yell startled kanji. “What?” he asked coolly.

 

 

“Geez never mind.” Naruto said, quickly going back to his tree climbing. He wanted to know how old kanji was and where he was from. He looked only three or so years older than him and he wanted to know where he was from because not very many people had eyes like he did. Cool I want my eyes to be crosses he thought.

 

“You want to know why my eyes are like this.” Kanji stated emotionlessly. Naruto fell down again.

 

“Yes I do. I want my eyes to be like that it's so cool!” Naruto said

 

`He likes my eyes does he? Funny considering his eyes will be like this soon.' Kanji mused. “I'll tell you a secret if you do me a favor.”

 

Naruto nodded. “Yea what do you want kanji-sensei”

 

“I want you to lose the orange clothes. They are just annoying. Now my eyes are the result of my bloodline. It is called the immortal eye. Its skills surpass the skills of both the byakugan and the sharingan.” Kanji said emotionlessly.

 

“Can you teach me it?” Naruto asked.

 

“Maybe” came kanji's cold answer. “Practice now before I throw you up in the tree.” Naruto almost thought he detected humor in the older shinobi's voice.

 

Naruto tried the climbing time and time again. When he was done the sky was a goldish color.

 

“It's getting late. How long can you go without sleep?” kanji asked

 

Naruto shrugged. “I usually sleep for ten or eleven hours.” He said

 

“Unacceptable.” Kanji replied. “You are the laziest bum of a shinobi I have ever met. Starting now you will only get 3 hours of sleep.”

 

Naruto's eyes widened to the size of saucers. “Three hours??? You must be kidding.”

 

“You wish I was kid. I bet your exhausted right now aren't you. I don't train lazy Asses.” Kanji said a small grin appearing on his face.

 

When Naruto finally got it to the top it was well into the night. The weight of his body had gone from a severe pain in the butt to a large pain in the butt. Even after he got to the top kanji kept making him walk the length of the tree over and over again. “This is boring.” Naruto said for the umpteenth time. “Ok I'm sorry do you want a book?” kanji said sarcasm dripping from every word.

 

Naruto didn't catch on. “I don't want a book its too much work to read. Give me something else to do.”

 

“Fine run ten laps around konoha. If I don't hear one complaint out of you I'll teach you a new jutsu. Happy?”

 

Naruto was thrilled, not about running of course his limps already felt like jello but he wouldn't show exhaustion. “Alright kanji-sensei.” He said. Taking off running.

 

Kanji watched him run for a bit before yawning lazily. “Having fun watching Naruto's training?” he asked addressing the person hiding in the bushes behind him.

 

Iruka gulped. He was caught spying on him. Iruka slowly walked out of his hiding place and up to kanji.

 

Kanji didn't say anything just stared at Iruka. The staring contest went on for a good 2 minutes before kanji smiled. “So our Naruto's friend.” Iruka nodded. “You know Naruto's team for tomorrow correct?”

 

Iruka nodded again trying not to talk. “Who is he with?” kanji asked.

 

“Uchiha Sasuke, and Haruno Sakura” Iruka said.

 

`Uchiha Sasuke. The last of his clan, much like Naruto they must be on the same team but about this Sakura girl' Kanji started to smile again. “Want to do a favor for me?” he asked.

 

“What is it?” Iruka replied warily

 

“I want you to put Ino on Naruto's team instead of Sakura.”

 

Iruka began to talk but kanji cut him off. “I say this because truthfully I think Naruto and her would make a cute couple in a weird sort of way.”

 

Iruka shrugged. “I guess I can,” he said.

 

“Good.” Kanji said “now go away before Naruto comes back from his running and finds you here.”

 

The Kyuubi jogged back to kanji only seconds after Iruka hid. “I'm done… it was easy. Now what about the jutsu?” Naruto asked between breaths.

 

“Good job now walk up that tree again I want to check something.” Kanji said pointing to an old dead tree.

 

Naruto sighed. This again? He thought. When he made it to the top of the tree and started walking down. Kanji threw an exploding kunai at the tree. The tree exploded and Naruto began plummeting to the ground. Naruto started screaming.

 

“This is what you do in the face of a dangerous situation? You suck!” kanji said as he caught Naruto before he hit the ground.

 

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Naruto screamed. Kanji ignored it. “I thought you would have better critical thinking skills than that kid.” He said.

 

“I didn't think you would do something like that!” he yelled.

 

Kanji just dropped Naruto. “Don't worry about it kid. Well work on that. But first I'll teach you the jutsu I promised.

 

Kanji made three seals and two clones appeared right next to him. “I can already do that!” he said

 

Kanji smiled. “Yes I know that. These aren't as strong as your shadow clones but they come in handy. Thing one how about you give him a demonstration.”

 

The clone on his right jumped at Naruto. Kanji had to slow his clone down tremendously to allow Naruto to be able to see it move. Naruto just pulled out a shuriken and hurled it at the clone. When it hit the clone, the clone dispersed but unlike the normal clones gave a huge explosion as its parting gift. “It's the ryuuka bushin or dragon fire clones. The explosion's size depends on the amount of chakra you put into them. It is a simpler version of the Bunshin Daibakuha the move that a powerful nukenin uses. Go ahead and practice I'll watch.”

 

“Ryuuka bushin! (Dragon fire clones)” Naruto cried forming the seal. Three Narutos appeared next to him. Naruto jumped back as the three clones punched each other releasing a small explosion. “I didn't make the clones do that,” Naruto said

 

Kanji had to keep from laughing at his student. “I know you didn't. Didn't you ever hear that dragons are the hardest animal to control?” kanji said. “We'll have to go to chakra control lesson two. Come Naruto there is a pond fifty feet to our left.

 

Naruto happily walked with his teacher. He liked learning jutsus a lot more than practicing control but if it helped him then he was ok with it.

 

When they reached the edge of the pond kanji kept walking. Naruto watched as the shinobi walked across water to the center of the pond. He motioned for Naruto to follow.

 

Naruto concentrated trying to get the right amount of chakra in his feet. When he felt satisfied. He jumped onto the water. He was immediately bounced back as if he jumped on rubber. He looked at kanji for an explanation. Kanji just stared at him. His look saying “find out by yourself.” Naruto guessed that he had put too much chakra in his feet and tried again. This time he slipped and fell into the water. The water was freezing cold. It was way too cold to naturally like this.

 

Kanji just smiled. “You keep dunking and you'll freeze to death.” He said. That's when Naruto noticed that kanji had stuck a hand in the water and was him making it cold.” Naruto just swam to the bank and prepared to try again. This time he felt like he was walking on a solid surface. He took small and slow steps until he got to kanji. Kanji gave him a pat on the head.

 

“Good job kid.” Kanji congratulated. “You got it a lot quicker than I thought.”

 

Naruto couldn't help but grin. He was so happy that someone other than Iruka respected him for who he was not Kyuubi within him.

 

After that kanji made Naruto work at the water walking until Naruto could run and jump on the water. “Its almost morning tired yet?” kanji asked. Naruto nodded, he had been exhausted from since he had to walk up the tree. Now he was jut running on fumes. Kanji smiled again.

 

“Good work today you improved a lot in just one night. Tomorrow I have some more chakra control exercises I want you to master. Then I want to get some new clothes. I hate that jumpsuit. You can go home now if you want just expect to see me again really soon.” Kanji said, the bored expression returning to his eyes.

 

Naruto groaned. “You were serious about the three hour sleep thing?” Naruto asked.

 

Kanji nodded. “Why would I lie to you?”

 

Naruto sighed. “You suck! Three hours! That's not even a good dream.” Naruto cried.

 

 

“Fine.” Kanji said. “Is that complaining I hear? Make that three hours starting now. Instead of when you went to sleep.”

 

“Crap!!!” Naruto cried, Forgetting about his fatigue and making a mad dash for his house.

 

Kenji turned to Iruka. “Know anyplace I can buy some clothes?” he asked

 

Naruto enjoyed the village so late at night—make that morning. It had to be at least five or six in the morning. The only people who were up were the fishermen getting ready to go fishing. He passed the ramen stand. It wouldn't open for a few hours but still looking at the building made him hungry.

 

Naruto passed the academy. He even saw the same swing set that he sat in as the only one who failed the exam. Naruto passed the exam now! He was almost a full-fledged ninja! Naruto gave a small grin before collapsing on the ground.

 

 

`Naruto? Naruto is that you?'

 

“Who are you?”

 

`My you've grown son'

 

“Son? I'm your son?”

 

`Yes. But I don't have much time I have contacted you because I think it is time you learn the truth about your bloodline.'

 

“My bloodline?”

 

The Uzumaki clan has a powerful bloodline that dwarves both the byakugan and the sharingan.

 

“What are those?”

 

Son have you been sleeping in class? Well to put it simply they all are eye based bloodline limits and the Uzumaki clans have had the strongest. It's called the immortal eye

 

“That's what kanji-sensei has!”

 

Kanji you mean paladin kanji? You know him?

 

“He's started training me. I'm going to be the next Hokage!”

 

Good he will protect you against kemuri

 

“Who is that?”

 

He is a demon of a man who will stop at nothing to get his hands on your bloodline limit.

 

“Why?”

 

Must you ask the most irreverent questions? You should be asking on how to use your bloodline limit

 

“Um ok. How do I use it?”

 

Kanji will teach it to you now its time for you to wake up

 

“What that was that! You bother me to ask only to give me the same answer I already knew!”

 

As Naruto awoke he could still here his parent's laughter.

 

 

 

“Hey Naruto I said four hours. Not five! Get your lazy butt up people are staring!”

 

“Kanji-sensei?” Naruto asked groggily. Naruto was pissed that he was woken up just when he felt like he fell asleep. Something still lingered in the back of his mind. Like he was forgetting something. Naruto was too tired to care.

 

“Yes its me now get your lazy butt up!” kanji said kicking Naruto lightly.

 

“I can't move kanji-sensei.” Naruto said lamely hoping it would work and he would be left alone for more sleep time.

 

“I'll give you to the count of three before I explode your ass all the way to the sand village.” Kanji threatened. Immediately Naruto jumped up.

 

“Where first kanji-sensei?” he asked

 

“Were going to get you some new clothes, I heard of a great place from your friend.” Kanji said smiling.
