Really sorry it took a while to update. School just started in all so I'll just do my best to keep up.
Recap
As the three of them walked to the Academy, Rebecca felt the bubble of excitement in her stomach grow. She had been waiting for something like this her entire life. `I knew I was always destined for something more. I just didn't know what. But now I do. I may have been a nobody on Earth, but here I have a chance to become more than ever believed possible. Yeah, that's exactly what I'll do' Rebecca thought

`Almost at the Academy. Finally!' Iruka thought. `That Rebecca girl is almost as loud as Naruto, and she isn't afraid to speak her mind. I'll be glad when I can finally get rid of her.'
Together, Rebecca, Leonie, and Iruka walked up to the Academy's. “Alright. Inside these doors you will find the place that you will be spending most of your day. You will train and learn in the classrooms. For today though, you will just observe one of the classes. Follow me.” Iruka pushed open the doors and walked through. Leonie and Rebecca followed hesitantly behind.
“I know that I really want to be a ninja and all, but I really don't want to have to go in front of people with only one person I know. At least at the other school I knew the people, even if they did tease me. Here I won't know anyone,” Rebecca muttered to Leonie.
Their conversation was interrupted by Iruka announcing, “We're here.” Rebecca gulped nervously and started playing with the winged horse charm on her necklace. As they walked in, Rebecca stood very close to Leonie.
“I know you don't do well in front of strangers but could you please give me some personal space here?” Leonie asked, irritated. “Sorry!” Rebecca murmured and backed up a few paces.
They walked up to the front of the classroom. The students who had been previously incredibly loud were now utterly silent. “Class, I'd like you to meet our new exchange students, Rebecca and Leonie,” Iruka announced to the class. Everyone stared at the two girls. “They're all staring at us. Leonie, they're staring at us.” Rebecca unconsciously moved closer to Leonie for protection. “Of course they're going to stare at us. We must look like aliens almost to them,” Leonie whispered back.
While the girls were talking, Iruka explained to the class about the girls. “… And finally, the tall blond one is Leonie and the shorter dark-haired one is Rebecca.” Rebecca shot Iruka a glare. Iruka ignored it. “Today these girls will only be observing the class, but tomorrow they are going to become official members of this class. Now Rebecca and Leonie go sit in those chairs over by the wall. The rest of you come down here so that we can begin practicing our jutsus…”
Rebecca and Leonie watched with fascination as each member of the class performed several jutsus. Rebecca noticed that a dark-haired boy was one of the only ones that got all of the jutsus perfect. She also noticed that almost every girl in the class either was fawning over him or saying stupid stuff like “You're awesome Sasuke-kun!” or “I love you Sasuke-kun!” `Ugh, fan girls. I have to admit that the one they call Sasuke isn't that bad looking but they shouldn't be so caught up with him. The best of them only managed to perform three jutsus correctly.'
Leonie noticed that a blond haired boy with orange clothing was one who messed up a lot. He got almost none of the jutsus correct. She also noticed that nobody sat next to him. `Hmm. I wonder why that boy is so alone. People act as if he was a contagious disease.
Leonie and Rebecca were both brought back to reality at the sound of Iruka's voice calling them, “Everyone can leave except Rebecca and Leonie. Would you two come over here please?”
They walked over to Iruka and stood in front of him. After the last student left the room, Iruka told them, “Today you will learn the transformation jutsu and the clone jutsu. Then we will go outside to practice throwing and dodging kunai and shuriken.” (They already knew about chakra and what kunai and shuriken were because they paid attention during the class.)
First they practiced the transformation jutsu. Rebecca got it right on her third try. It took Leonie five tries, though. Next, they practiced the clone jutsu. This one was harder and neither Rebecca nor Leonie got it perfect that day. Rebecca's clone looked like it had been run over by a truck and Leonie's looked like it was dead.
“Well, that was an interesting start. You two have talent though. Most of the students couldn't even create a clone on their first day. Now we will go outside and practice with kunai and shuriken,” Iruka informed them.
The outside training area wasn't much. It had a couple of logs with targets on them and a couple of practice dummies. As Iruka demonstrated the proper way to throw kunais, Rebecca and Leonie watched carefully. When it was finally their turn to throw, they threw it exactly like Iruka did with mixed results. Leonie's kunais landed about half a foot in front of the target. Rebecca's kunais landed to the side of the target.
“You two will definitely need to practice that before we can continue on with dodging,” Iruka informed them. There was no reaction from Rebecca, who was extremely tired. Leonie just gave a small audible sigh. “You're dismissed for now. Be back in the classroom by 9 a.m. sharp.” Rebecca and Leonie started their long walk home.
“Hey Leonie, when we get back want to take a break and then start practicing?” Rebecca asked. Leonie looked at her as if she were crazy. “You mean even after all that we did at the Academy you still want to practice?” “Yeah,” Rebecca said slowly. “Then I think you're insane,” Leonie stated. “I am not!” Rebecca shouted defensively. “If we're ever going to become the best, we have to practice like crazy. Iruka-sensei's right. We're way behind everyone else, and if we just do what we do at the Academy, we won't ever do anything with our lives. We have to practice outside the Academy.”
Leonie looked at Rebecca with new respect in her eyes. “Alright. When we get home, we'll take a short break, but afterwards we train our butts off!” Leonie said. “Let's race back home!” Rebecca shouted. “No,” Leonie said firmly. Rebecca stuck out her tongue at Leonie. “Party pooper.”
The two girls arrived at their small apartment after having walked for about thirty minutes. They collapsed on the couch and drank a full bottle of water each. After ten minutes of rest they picked themselves off the couch and went to a clearing in the nearby woods. They practiced for about three hours. When Rebecca and Leonie finally returned to the apartment, neither could see nor walk straight they were so tired. They fell into their beds and fell asleep, already mentally planning for the next day.
