Way of the Shinobi

 

Chapter 1. Reason for Punishment

 

“Sasuke, no! Not there, please! Sasuke? Sasuke!”, Naruto clenched his teeth against the welling screams, god it felt so good and he knew Sasuke was enjoying torturing him. Sasuke kissed the very bottom of Naruto's belly as he lay between his legs, Naruto jerked slightly, bucking against Sasuke's fingers.

 

“Naruto, calm down! We're gonna get caught!”, Sasuke's voice was a gentle whisper as he ran his fingers up Naruto's sides. Naruto couldn't calm down, his body was so hot, it seemed all he could do was pant, scream and let Sasuke do the rest. Desperately, Sasuke rushed up and pressed his mouth over Naruto's, slipping his tongue gently inside, 'calm down! Kami, Naruto please calm down!' he begged silently.

 

Naruto stopped moving, his screams died away at the taste of Sasuke's tongue, he jerked slightly when he felt it pull away. 'No, Sasuke I want more...' reaching up he pulled the beautiful dark-haired boy back down on top of him, pushing a silent kiss against his lips. Sasuke moaned slightly and cupping his hands around Naruto's face, injected his tongue into the velvety cavern. He pulled back a little too soon for Naruto's liking, “are you ready you dork?” he whispered softly. Every piece of Naruto was screaming for Sasuke's touch, “n~hn” he moaned as he nodded slowly.

 

Sasuke sat up and pulled Naruto's lower region up to him, leaning over he smiled gently into Naruto's scared face. He pressed a chaste kiss to his forehead, “Naruto?”, his voice was gentle, almost scared, “listen to me, I don't want to get you in trouble” 'please be quiet'. Naruto nodded to the silent plea, sitting back up, Sasuke kissed his knee, “you sure you're ready?”. Naruto spread his legs wider, gently pushing against Sasuke's privates, that was all the Sasuke needed. Pushing Naruto's legs up, he kissed the tender flesh, while slowly pushing into Naruto's lower opening. With one last sudden push, he heard Naruto cry out at the sudden intrusion, “Sasuke...”.

 

Naruto was panting, it had hurt, but it was a good pain. He clawed at the sheets, Sasuke had begun to move, slowly at first then faster. Naruto pushed up and pulled him deeper, “Sasuke, I need...I want...”, Sasuke smiled and, holding the blonde boy down by his arms, pushed harder into him, picking up speed. Groaning, Naruto thrust along with him, he had to make this pleasurable for Sasuke. Leaning down, Sasuke pushed his mouth against Naruto's ear, “don't push yourself, Naruto, you don't have to worry about my pleasure, I'll be just fine”. Ever so gently he bit his ear lobe and Naruto lie still, letting Sasuke love him.

 

Finally, Naruto felt Sasuke's release as the bed sheets grew wet, he was screaming, it felt wonderful. Sasuke kissed him, holding down his arms, “Naruto? Did I hurt you?” ,his voice was breathless. Naruto kissed his chin gently, pulling him down, tighter against him, “it's ok”.

 

'Click' ,both boys jumped as the door opened, Sasuke closed his eyes tightly “we weren't quiet enough”, he whispered. Naruto petted his hair, 'I'm sorry...'

 

Sasuke felt himself being dragged up as Kakashi held Naruto down, kicking and screaming, he began to cry, “Naruto! Naruto!”. Naruto fought ravenously but he couldn't get away, Sasuke was gone...

"Bastard! Let me go! Let go!", Naruto raked his fingers across his teachers face, scrambling away towards the door when he let go. Naruto bounded out, racing (butt naked) down the hall, "Sasuke!", his voice disturbed those few who were sleeping, and drew them to the hall. Kakashi grabbed him around the waist, letting him struggle as he lugged him back to his room. Naruto rolled over as he collided painfully with the floor, they were in big trouble, and he knew it.

 

Chapter 2. Friends and Enemies

 

"Naruto? Naruto! Wake up!", Naruto rolled over to see Kakashi looking down at him. Jerking up, Naruto punched him sharply, "Get the fuck away from me!", his voice was cracked with anger. Kakashi glared at him, Naruto was about to punch him again when he felt two arms hook around his ribs. Sasuke kissed Naruto's neck gently, pulling him against him, "calm down", he whispered. Naruto did as he was told, immediately letting Sasuke dominate him.

"Do you two understand what you've done?", Kakashi's voice was stern, Naruto looked up from his place in Sasuke's arms, "had sex?", he asked bluntly. Sasuke couldn't repress a slight laugh at the look on Kakashi's face, he truly didn't approve the thought of Naruto's and Sasuke's relationship and, Kami, did it show.

"no, well, yes, but, you've dishonored this village", Naruto rested under Sasuke's chin, obviously not concerned. Kakashi's voice was grave, "you two could easily be renounced from your ability to become ninja". That caught Naruto's attention, "what?! Why?!", Kakashi looked right at them, "it's not only who you did it with but that you did it in the first place". Naruto slunk back into Sasuke's arms, letting him hold him there, Kakashi continued, "you two better give good reasons for your actions, or you will be rakutan shiteiru". Sasuke nodded, he knew what that meant, they would be dejected, exiled, no longer part of the Konohagakure village.

A soft knock came to the door as Kakashi was about to leave, it was Sakura. Naruto shrunk down, she was gonna yell and he knew it, he'd taken Sasuke from her, she was gonna hate him for simply being there.

Sakura gently closed the door behind her teacher as he left and turned to the two boys. Naruto sat, hunched down, in Sasuke's arms; he looked like a hurt animal, cowering behind his partner for protection. She smiled gently, they probably thought she hated them like everyone else, but that couldn't have been more wrong. She could never hate them, not for something so little as loving one another, no , it was all right.

"I'm sorry...", her voice was gentle as she spoke, "I'm sorry people yell at you...". Naruto couldn't believe what he was hearing, he had been expecting her to yell and scream and condemn, but instead she was apologizing! I guess you could call it unexpected coming from her. He looked up at her, she was shaking, her voice was cracked, "it's really no secret I like Sasuke. But...", she smiled sadly, "But somehow I can't be jealous or angry...".

Naruto felt cold all over, was this really happening? Did Sakura actually just tell them it was okay?, his voice was soft, "Sakura I-".

"Stop! Don't tell me! Don't explain! Naruto, please, I'm begging you...I just...I want you to be happy, and I want Sasuke to be happy", she began to cry, burying her face into her palms, "but it's hard because I wanted Sasuke too", she sank to her knees. Ever so gently Sasuke kissed Naruto's shoulder nudging him toward her, "go", he whispered. Without a

word Naruto obeyed crawling down from the bed and across the floor to the crying girl, "Sakura?", his voice was barely audible. She looked up still crying, he smiled, "thank you..." without warning he felt her fall against his chest, sobbing, her tears wetting his bare skin with their salty moisture, 'oh Sakura...I'm so sorry...'

 

Chapter 3. Trial and Error

 

Sasuke stood anxiously, waiting for Naruto just outside the Hokage's Council room, he thought he would never come until finally he heard a very familiar voice yelling, "OW! YOU DON'T GOTTA PULL THAT HARD YA' KNOW!". A second later Kakashi came around the corner leading Naruto by his ear, Naruto obviously didn't appreciate it because he wouldn't stop yelling. Sasuke shook his head, 'Naruto, all that yelling isn't going to help', sadly Naruto thought differently.

"Go in!", Kakashi said sternly, handing Naruto off to Sasuke, Naruto glared but immediately shut up. the room was large with a huge dome ceiling, however the room was rather empty, only a pair of chairs and a table with Iruka-sensei and the Hokage behind it was there. Naruto slunk behind Sasuke, trying to avoid Iruka-sensei's gaze and clutched the dark haired boy's hand.

"sit!", Kakashi announced, indicating to the two chairs in the middle of the room, Sasuke gently kissed Naruto's cheek, giving him an encouraging smile, but that smile faded once he Hokage spoke.

"Uzamaki, Naruto; Uchiha, Sasuke. I imagine I don't have to tell you why you are here?", the old man eyed the two boys over his table, not exactly glaring, but very serious. Sasuke's voice sent shivers down Naruto's spine, "no sir", it was a cold voice, so very much unlike the one Naruto usually heard. The Hokage folded his hands, "then you only must answer one question for me. I will give you three days to answer, to what extent are your feelings for one another?". A cruel silence slowly encased them, the Hokage's voice seemed to echo when he finally spoke, "you are dismissed".

'What kind of trial is this?!', Naruto demanded silently. True he had been expecting more people, more yelling, and immediate condemnation, but...it hadn't happened that way. Sasuke... Naruto reached over and ever so gently clutched as Sasuke's fingers, 'this is probably really hard on him...'. Pulling on a bright smile, Naruto sighed, 'I gotta fix this...' "let's go outside!", Sasuke looked up from the floor, "huh?", Naruto smiled, "let's go outside! On a picnic!", tugging on Sasuke's arm he beamed, "c'mon it'll be a date!". Sasuke grinned weakly, 'you always know how to make me smile, don't you Naruto?'. Without warning Sasuke pulled the blonde boy's chin up with his index finger and thumb, "only for you, Naruto", he said softly, slipping his mouth over Naruto's. 'I love you, Naruto, I'm begging with all my heart and soul, save me from this kataomoi, tell me that what I'm feeling is yours...'. Breaking the kiss, Sasuke laid his forehead in the crook of Naruto's neck, he was shaking, 'please...Naruto...'. A moment later he pulled back smiling brightly, "how bout that picnic?". Naruto smiled brightly and dragged him down the hall, "yeah!"

The sun shown brightly as the two boys sat under the Sakoya tree, Naruto was eating and onigiri and Sasuke lay silently in the grass.

"Sasuke?", Naruto's voice was soft, "why did you do it?", the dark haired boy didn't answer. Naruto smiled almost sadly , "I did it because...it felt right to me, some part of me wanted to stop it, but I couldn't bear to". Leaning down he kissed the boys forehead, 'I love you, Sasuke', he begged silently, 'I really do'. Sasuke grinned, "you know what? We should do this more often..." ever so gently he licked Naruto's chin and felt him shudder. Naruto smirked, "should we? I don't know, this is pretty dull if you ask me", letting out a playful shriek, Naruto dove as Sasuke jumped on top of him, tickling him. Sasuke's voice was feigned angry, "well nobody asked you, did they?". Naruto wished it could've gone on forever as he lay in the soft, sweet grass. They stayed there, watching the sky and holding one another until the stars came out. They probably would've stayed there all night, if Iruka-sensei hadn't come out and disturbed them from their happy slumber, under the sakoya tree...

 

Chapter 4. Three Days

 

Naruto awoke to the feeling of warmth, last night he supposed he had been tired because he didn't remember much except that Iruka-sensei had come and dragged them in last night. Well it was only to be expected, considering they were practically on probation, he sighed, 'why do they have to see it that way?' he wondered. Sasuke lulled beside him as he slept, it was amazing how truly weak he looked as he slept and just how strong he really was. Naruto smiled, he supposed it was one of the many reasons he's been immediately drawn to Sasuke, he could be kind or cruel...or both.

"What're you staring at?", Sasuke's voice startled him, breaking him from his thoughts, he smiled, "you know? You actually look harmless when you sleep", he lay down, nuzzling his nose into Sasuke's hair, "it's beautiful...". Sasuke smirked, "what?! I think you're still in dream land you dork...", Naruto beamed, "I wonder how they're gonna have us answer that question, do we answer it separate or together?". Sasuke smiled and rumpled his hair, "there's no use dwelling on it, we won't know until we get there, now will we?", Naruto shook his head, "Sasuke? Do you love me?", Sasuke jolted, "what?". Naruto kissed the dark haired boy's fingers gently and smiled, "nothing...", that look said it all, Sasuke didn't love him, he wanted to cry, to be locked away.

"You can leave my room now...", Naruto's voice was almost inaudible yet it rang in Sasuke's ears, he was telling him to get out...Pushing back the covers, Sasuke shivered and pulled on his sandals, no, Kami no, he wanted to crawl back into that bed, to cuddle back up with it's owner. But he couldn't, he wouldn't disrespect Naruto's wishes, not now, not ever; not even if they lived for forever and a day, not once. He left silently, 'I'm sorry Naruto...'

The day passed in its lonely way and the night passed with a heavy chill that no blankets could block out, the two boys could not sleep, perhaps they had grown dependent on one another's warmth, but both beds felt like ice all the same. Sasuke supposed he would never sleep, not without Naruto, not without his scent, not without the sounds he made at night to lull him to sleep. And so, morning came, leaving both boys exhausted and yearning in vain for the other. Another day passed, once again, in loneliness, Naruto lay curled up in the cold bed, his pillow wet with his tears.

The door slid open and Naruto jerked up only to lie back down after seeing it was only Kakashi come to drag him once again to the Hokage's council room.

"Leave me alone", he moaned into the pillow only to be picked up by his teacher's strong arms.

Sasuke, too, had been woken in much the same manner and he now stood in the presence of the Lord Hokage.

"Uchiha, Sasuke; have you come to and answer?", the Hokage folded his hands, Sasuke looked at the floor, "all I have to say is...I love Naruto! I love him with everything I am, there's nothing I wouldn't do for him...", his eyes burned as he felt the tears come, tears he had wanted to shed days ago. He glared right at the Hokage, "I would die for Naruto. I would kill for Naruto. Everything I am, everything I could be, it means nothing if he's not there with me...to be proud of me...". The door opened and Naruto was led in by Kakashi-sensei, in the blink of an eye, both boys lunged into the others welcoming arms. Sasuke held Naruto tightly, kissing the very top of his head, the Hokage smiled gently, "Uzamaki, Naruto? Have you an answer to my question?". Naruto pulled back, looking at the floor nervously and Kakashi led Sasuke out, his voice was soft, unheard over the 'click' of the door closing, "I need him...".

"Excuse me?", Naruto looked up, glaring, "I said I need him, he's all I have to live for. Everything about him makes me happy, I don't know what I would do without his smile, I think that if I could never see him smile again, I would die...". The Hokage smiled lightly, "I see...", 'I see?! What did that mean?! The Hokage rang a small bell and Kakashi led Sasuke in once more...

 

Chapter 5. Judgment Day

 

Sasuke felt cold all over, he could see the tears in Naruto's eyes, the pain and hurt in those lovely light blue eyes. No, he didn't want to see the pain, he wanted to see happiness and adoration.

"Naruto?", he had meant to say something, but it was forgotten the instant Naruto looked up. Before he knew it, he was holding Naruto's skull constrictingly in his palm, his mouth pressed firmly over the blonde boy's lips, slipping his tongue inside, drinking him eagerly. 'I love you Naruto' he screamed in his head, 'I wish you could see it...'

"Ahem", both boys leapt apart when the Hokage cleared his throat, a soft smile danced on his lips, "I will let you off with a warning...". Cheering loudly, Naruto leapt on top of Sasuke, kissing him tenderly; tugging up his shirt he pressed his forehead against Sasuke's chest. Naruto's voice was gentle, cracked, almost crying, "I love you Sasuke; I really, really do", Sasuke's breath hitched.

"Naruto?", Sasuke smiled when he looked up at him, his beautiful blue eyes wide, almost scared, "let's go for a walk, it'll be a date...". Giggling happily, Naruto tugged Sasuke out the door, "YEAH!"...
