Things Are Not Ok
Chapter One Things Are Not Ok Part One
Naruto was at a loss. The Akatsuki has been attacking the village for days now and threatened to burn the
village if the Kyuubi holder was not handed over to them. Thanks to luck and whatever god that was in their favor
the news that Konoha had a new Hokage had not reached the Akatsuki and for now Naruto was safe. Naruto
entered his office tossing his long black and orange trenchcoat on a random chair. He noted that Kyuubi was
behind him on his desk staring at him. Naruto was in no mood to deal with the overly protective fox demon.
Then again Naruto knew better than to ignore her so he asked.
=What do you want?=
=Nice to see you to kit=
=Sorry it has been hell=
=I know. You are needed at the hospital=
=Why?=
=Kakashi and I went scouting this morning and found Uchiha Itachi beaten and barely breathe on top of the
monument. Kakashi checked if it was an illusion while checked if there was anyone waiting to attack us.
But there was none so we brung him in. The doctors said it is a miracle that he will live considering that
all his injuries look fatal and that there seems to be barely even a few drops of chakra left in him.=
=Hm. Has he awakened yet?=
=No. The doctors said it will be a few weeks. They said they checked his memories and they want you
to report to the hospital immediately=
=Alright lets go=
~~~~At The Hospital~~~~
Kakashi leaned against a wall outside of Itachi's room. He was lost in thought when he felt Naruto poke at him.
"Kakashi-sensei are you alright?"
"Naruto how many times am I going to tell you to stop calling me sensei"
"It's an old habit"
"The doctors are waiting for you in there"
"Thanks"
Naruto walked into the hospital room closing the door behind him. The doctors were talking amonst themselves
until Naruto entered the room. They bowed in respect and proceeded to explain to Naruto what they
found. Unknown to the visitors in the room, Itachi Uchiha was having flashbacks in his sleep. The
memories they found triggered in Itachi's head causing him to go into shock.
+++Memory Begins+++
Itachi rushed home. It was difficult to make curfew when you were coming home late from a week worth
of missions. Sasuke was due home soon and Itachi was not looking forward to be annoyed by his
younger brother. Itachi turned into an alley that was a short cut to his home. He was not looking
forward to being lectured by his father again. Itachi was coming home again with injuries again and his
father hated it when Itachi came home like that. Itachi was always being lectured on how improtant it
was to come back without a scratch. Itachi hated those lectures because his father expected him to
be perfect which was, in Itachi's case, impossible. His mother was not as bad but complained now and
then about the wounds.
The smell of copper smacked Itachi in the face causing him to stop and hurl. The odeur was overpowering
but it sent a wave of panic through Itachi. 'Oh no' Was the only thing he could think of at that moment.
Itachi ran through the house jumping over bodies until he slipped on a pool of blood landing in it hitting
his head on the wooden floor knocking him out.
Orochimaru was finishing off the head of the clan when he heard a loud thud. Going down the hallway
Orochimaru say Itachi laying in a pool of blood. Thinking the boy was dead Orochimaru left. Not thinking
twice about the younger Uchiha who was now making his way home.
Itachi groaned as he felt the back of his head only to feel the wet and stickiness of blood. Realizing
where he was Itachi got up and made his way to the dojo. Upon entering the room Itachi found
his mother and father on the floor dead and covered in blood. Itachi walked over to them and knelt
by his mother. A few poison spike and three kunai stuck out of her limp form. Itachi removed
the kunai and carefully removed the poison spikes. At that moment Sasuke had come home
to the slaughter. He had made his way to the dojo amd from his stand point it looked like Itachi
was stabbing their mother.
Sasuke began to cry startling Itachi. Itachi just knelt there with kunai in hand staring at Sasuke.
Itachi had to do something. He knew who did this but if he told Sasuke, he knew his little
brother would act irrationally and would get himself killed. So Itachi thought of the next best
thing.
"If you want to continue living pitifully little brother you might as well get strong enough to kill
me and avenge our clan." With that said Itaci left leaving Sasuke crying in the dojo.
Itachi made his way quickly through the village before someone found Sasuke and the
dead clan members. Then Itachi sensed something well actually someone. Their chakra
very small and not a lot which caused Itachi to turn around. When he did so he saw a young
Naruto standing there staring at him.
"Well? Are you not going to tell me why you are following me?"
"Itachi you are doing wrong by lying to Sasuke. He needs to know."
"How did you..."
"I go to the academy with Sasuke. My name is Uzumaki Naruto."
"Naruto. Please do not say a word"
"Why should I not. They deserve the truth"
"I know but Sasuke..."
"Is stubborn and is liable to get himself killed? I know"
"Then you see why."
".......Alright.....We will meet again"
"For a kid you act like your hell of a lot older"
"When no one wants you. How else are you supposed to act"
"Good-bye then"
"..."
Itachi just stared at the kid then disappeared not realizing that young Naruto watched him leap
over the fence. Naruto just stood there contiplating on what he should do until Sandaime placed
a hand on Naruto's shoulder bringing Naruto out of his mental debate.
"Naruto what are you doing out? I thought I told you to stay..."
"You must check on the Uchiha clan right now"
"Why?"
"For once trust me."

Itachi groaned in his sleep startling the doctors and Naruto. Itachi then went silent once more
the only sound was that of the oxygen machine to help him breathe better.
